Excellent dinner, welcoming atmosphere (perhaps a little more light wouldn't hurt), very attentive service. Fabulous tasting menu
Perfect menu composition
Amazing experience at Iyo. We went for the 9 course menu and did not regret it. It was a well rounded composition from beginning to end with many highlights like the Ika Somen (frayed raw squid with quail egg and Oscieta caviar) with an incredible attention to detail. Attentive and competent service - always helpful without ever being intrusive. Among the many great restaurants we have been to, it definitely makes the top 3. we will come back!
Good but not great
we went to dinner for my birthday, given that whoever was with me is allergic to tuna, which she communicated first via whatsapp to whoever wrote to her from the restaurant, and then directly in the dining room, the first course that arrives is based on of tuna... Mistakes can happen, but in restaurants that boast Michelin awards, unfortunately the tolerance threshold for these errors is lower (also because the bill is rightly higher than average). The other sore point concerns the duration of the tasting menu, which lasted 4 hours. It seems a bit excessive to me, considering that there were people who arrived at the tables after us and got up earlier (probably purchasing à la carte, but in any case I consider 4 hours of waiting to finish excessive.) The quality of the dishes and the ingredients it was certainly good, opinions on the dishes are subjective, even if they didn't drive me crazy except for the nighiri but it's a question of subjective taste. While as regards the desserts I didn't find anything particularly exceptional. Recommended for excellent à la carte sushi, a little less for tasting.
Fantastic
Elegant restaurant with Japanese cuisine of the highest standard. Everything I ate was excellent with extraordinary flavor combinations. Kind and precise service. Prices in line with the quality of the dishes. To be recommended
Very overrated
Very overrated. Average quality of the dishes (including sushi). Medium plating. The failed desserts (both the “Zen Garden” and the “Caramel and Peanuts” were tried). The only element that deserves five stars is the service, truly super professional, but that's not enough... I won't go back.
Beautiful experience
Dinner for two... we book for 7.30pm about a month in advance. Very intimate and welcoming location. PERFECT service. Very wide quality and choice of dishes. All very fine. I recommend shredded raw squid with caviar, hot belly carpaccio, squid with phyllo pastry. Very delicate and surprising desserts. Prices proportionate to a starred hotel but not expensive. You can spend as much as you want à la carte. Nice bottle of champagne. I highly recommend it. Considering that we are in a very cool area of Milan it is perfect. Aldo
Endless disappointment
Overall not a great experience. Tried tasting menu. Really disappointed. Like us (my wife and I), the other 2 tables near us were also not happy. Some dishes were good (none great) 4 out of 9. Some decent but nothing more (3 out of 9) 2 courses to be sent back. It is the first time that, speaking to the (very kind) waitress, I expressed my disappointment during a dinner. From the same IYO chain we tried OMAKASE. rating 10+. IYO EXP truly a disappointment the TASTING.
amazing
amazing food, great service and I loved the new location in piazza Aalto!!!!!! i really recommend it and hope they will stay in this location!
Early Valentine's Day
we returned after a year and a half and you confirmed our opinion: FANTASTIC! The tasting menu is excellent and the guys are always kind, professional and even ready for a joke! Honestly, I find the new location more beautiful and sophisticated than the previous one.. Thanks to Beatrice who was patient with the booking and for giving us advice that was not inherent to her work! Thank you!!!
Interesting to try
Good place for those who want to taste Japanese cuisine far from all you can eat. The sweet “Zen garden” is also delicious. Even though I don't like sushi, I enjoyed everything. However, I think once is enough, personally I wouldn't go back. The prices of the wine accompaniment are exaggerated.
AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU CAN!!!!!!!
Abysmal sequence of service. First time eating at a "Michelin Rated Restaurant" and all I can say is Michelin needs to get their act together when awarding such restaurants with these titles. Honestly what an utter disaster of a night meant for celebrations and a good time. We ordered a selection of meals and without the waiter even asking all meals came at different timings even though this is not what we wanted-nobody even asked for this! Sushi was really bad quality, rice was not correctly spread and minimal at best. I called before asking for a birthday surprise for a friend of mine and what we got was appalling, Happy birthday written on the plate as if a child had done so and a single USED candle stuck in the dessert. I had to continuously wave my hands to get some service from the waiters which was bad for a "Michelin Star awarded restaurant" Overall the bad sequence of service, bad food quality and the very slow service is what ruined the experience. We waited 55 Minutes for the first food to come out which is shocking. Utter ridiculous --Avoid this place if you want good service and good food. There are hundreds of non-Michelin rated restaurants in Milan that are way better than this nonsense excuse of an establishment.

Buono, molte opzioni, c'è qualcosa per tutti.
Servizio impeccabile. Good, lots of options, there's something for everyone. Impeccable service.
Very tasty Japanese-inspired food and Michelin-quality service
Instead of choosing from the menu, we went for the writer's recommendations, and everything we tried was very tasty😋
I rarely give 5 stars but Iyo definetly deserve it!
I rarely give 5 stars but Iyo definetly deserve it! Everything from food, service and ambiance was perfect ! We were on vacation in Europe in October and it was the best meal during our trip ! I'm so glad we order the Omakase ! Well deserved michelin star

Lovely Japanese restaurant with one Michelin Star, some of the dishes (desserts) are inventive but sushi fell a bit flat, was expecting more. Ambience is nice. We were there for lunch, perhaps dinner is different.
Connect with users posting reservations for Iyo Milano
AppointmentTrader is a community-driven platform where users can exchange their reservations or leverage their personal relationships with Iyo Milano. Buyers can make informed decisions using automated seller ratings, which reflect past transactions and reliability.
Each posting on AppointmentTrader shows you which user submitted it and along with that provides a trackrecord of that user which indicates how much experience

If there is no user posting that fits your schedule, you can bid on your preferred time.
Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Iyo Milano at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Iyo Milano page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* PerceptiveWash44, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* PerceptiveWash44 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to PerceptiveWash44 for any questions Peter may have as PerceptiveWash44 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* PerceptiveWash44 now uses their connections at Iyo Milano to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If PerceptiveWash44 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, PerceptiveWash44 receives the $200 reward which is credited to PerceptiveWash44's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Iyo Milano!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
