The food was so good, but the service could not have been worse. Our waitress, Molly, forgot our order and never came to check to make sure we got it (we didn't). We could see her goofing off with her friends the whole time. When she finally came to check on us, she smelt like alcohol and gave my boyfriend attitude about the whole situation.
Be the first to ReplyLunch is a great time to indulge! Not very crowded.
It's a nice place. Not too stuffy. It's easy to let the check get away from you. However, it's worth it!
Be the first to ReplyGreat food.
Great service. Loved the dumplings we ordered. The lobster taco was awesome. The duck taco was great too. Enjoyed the string beans. Friend had a drink. Bill with tip came to just over $100 per person for the two of us

Great cocktails, sushi, and service! Honey crispy shrimp excellent! Chocolate cake was a disappointment but everything else was great!
Be the first to ReplyI had high expectations for this place.
.. I made reservations in advance, so we were able to slide right in to our table. However, I absolutely hated our seating, place right next to this semi-wall space, where the wait staff squeezed behind me and walked back and forth every few SECONDS! It was beyond annoying...and made my dining experience extremely uncomfortable. First of all, the restaurant was small, but chic and nicely appointed...but the layout was WAY too tight, with so many tables squeezed in too closely! In fact, the problem seemed to be too many tables in such a small space. Totally killed the ambiance of the whole place. Truly a shame 'cuz the place was very nicely appointed! Sorry, but minus 1 star right off the bat for the horribly tight seating arrangement. Now, the food. First of all, must mention that the pricing is a bit outlandish. However, I get that this is Aspen...and I know that many restaurants in these parts are priced like this. We ordered this Dragon Roll as an appetizer...and it was really good. However, for a nearly 30-dollar sushi roll, I expected something a bit fancier...and more generous? For our entrees, we ordered the following: Singapore Rice Noodles, Tenderloin Shitake Fried Rice and Thai Basil Free Range Chicken. I ordered the Singapore Rice Noodles...and had major regrets. While delicious, there really wasn't anything special about it whatsoever. Again, for a pricey noodle dish, I expected something MORE. Even a single flower in that basic dish would have helped lol! Same thoughts applied to the other 2 dishes. My husband tried the Thai Basil Free Range Chicken. Again, he thought it was good, but didn't match the pricing. At least I thought that his dish was well presented...unlike mine. My son went for the Tenderloin Shitake Fried Rice...and he actually really liked it (and he's a finicky eater!). Good thing...'cuz this 36-buck fried rice was the most expensive fried rice he's ever had! We finished off with this Mochi Ice Cream (Matcha)...and it turned out to be just 1 Mochi Ice Cream Ball, simply sliced into 4 pieces, and priced at 7 bucks! WOW...I almost felt had lol. I really struggled with the ratings on this one....based on the flavor of the foods, probably a 4 or 5, but the presentation was a 3. Then comes the pricing. If the pricing was more fair, I would have dropped 4 stars. However, we left feeling a bit ripped. I mean, I've had better Singapore Noodles at nearly a third of this price...better presented even! Also 7 bucks for 1 ball of Mochi Ice Cream...simply sliced into 4 pieces, with nothing else added...Really?!? At that point, I thought they deserved 2 stars. Since I'm on a vacation, thought I'd bump it up to 3. Honestly, the best thing I liked about this place was its overhead music. It was very cool...just my vibe. Service was fine...attentive and quick. However, like I mentioned earlier, our seating was so bad, the whole experience was just annoying. Not kidding when I say that the wait staff all walking right behind me the whole damn time!! Everything was just really disappointing (and annoying)...again, just not reflective of its price points. To be frank, I've had a few meals already around Aspen, and I've been underwhelmed with the quality of the foods...especially for its pricing. I don't mind paying 30 bucks for some noodles or fried rice dish if they are actually worth that much...in its stellar quality, presentation, or SOMETHING...but the thing is, I've noticed that with many of these meals, there's just nothing special about them....except for the fact that the prices are pumped up. Well, I haven't given up hopes just yet. A few more stellar restaurant lined up...and I'm just hoping hard they'll be worth it.

One of my favorite restaurants ever! I try to visit every time I'm in Aspen. You really can't go wrong with any of the food items on the menu and compared to the other seafood restaurants this location is worth the price that's posted. I've always found the owner is at this location the most compared to the vegas or Denver spot and he takes pride in the food because I see him checking dishes as they go out. Loved the service this time around especially! I highly recommend getting the sake bomb if your with a group! Experience is so fun you will enjoy your time for sure!

Amazing food! We ordered a couple of apps, sushi rolls and soup, this is the 2nd time we come here, you can't leave Aspen without coming hService is super nice and vibes are so fun! As in, only if you're down to hearing club music and loud voices
Be the first to ReplyThey literally charge Michelin price for gas station food.
I can't believe the audacity they have. It is the worst Asian restaurant I have ever been to. Not only because food is bad, but also because how much bath faith they operate in. They charge $21 for 3 tiny pieces of soup dumplings, which already was kind of ridiculous, but the bigger surprise is when the dumplings came. They are the instant frozen dumplings that you can buy at Asian grocery stores for 6 bucks a bag, which has 20 dumplings. They got the dumplings for $0.3 each but are charging $7 a piece to their customers, which is 23 times more. It's appalling. Not to mention the fact that they brand themselves as an upscale restaurant but serve cheap frozen dumplings as gourmet food. It feels like I went to a fancy Italian restaurant, they charged me $23 dollars for a dollar slice pizza they got from Costco. What the actual hell.
Be the first to ReplyGreat inventive Asian Fusion.
Must have Franks kale fried rice. Would be 5 stars but music is insanely loud. Or maybe I am old.
Be the first to ReplyLimited but good selections for vegetarians/vegans.
The highlight was the kale truffle fried rice and the shitake mushroom in garlic schezuan sauce. The mushroom dumplings were okay. We ordered a cucumber dish to start but sent it back because it was not to our liking. Good service.

Excellent dinner with my family of 4, including 2 children (11&13). Although we didn't have reservations (Saturday night about 5 pm) , we were seated quickly at the sushi bar. Menu had lots of variety, from the simple to the extravagant. Service was fast and food was delicious: we sampled the dim sum, seaweed salad, Aspen roll, toro sashimi, noodles, lobster fried rice and chocolate lava cakes with mango mochi. Good cocktail selection and the atmosphere was lively. Would definitely go back. Prices are what you expect for Aspen.

Great food and quick service for lunch on a snowy day in Aspen! East stop for fresh sushi and sake.
Be the first to ReplyJing is one cool cat.
The owner was the life of the party in there. Super friendly guy that made you feel like you were life long friends. 4/5 because the servers were the good looking type that were too cool for school. They acted like it was a privilege for us to eat there and have them be our servers. The food on the other hand was tasty and we went overboard on the apps and entrees. Drinks were not bad. We got a lot of food so I can't list it all. Music was too loud for my dad. He's 60 and can't handle the loud house music. I've gone twice and I it's in my Aspen rotation. Fifth starter type.

It was a great dinner! We had a reservation at 7:30 on Friday night and our table was ready without delates. Dumplings are phenomenal and drinks are d-lish! They had a DJ that night because of XGames. The owner is very entertaining. Great energy!

I had a great experience at Jing! Our large group got a last minute reservation, and ordered lots of fish off of the happy hour menu. I enjoyed all my fish, but some others in my group were not impressed (maybe the fish quality was worse because it was happy hour?) I LOVE the French onion soup dumplings. I will be going back simply for those! They were great comfort food.
Be the first to Reply(Jan 9, 2023) We were able to get a last minute reservation
(Jan 9, 2023) We were able to get a last minute reservation for a decently sized group which was nice since we were planning to just do takeout. It was pretty early and we caught the end of happy hour so when we arrived we immediately started ordering a lot of items. I was extremely underwhelmed by the fish but some other members in my group seemed to like what they had gotten. I was also disappointed by the rice which I thought was mushy and almost gummy. The salmon didn't seem super fresh and didn't have a great texture.Spicy Edamame with Garlic - Spicier than I thought it would be but I can't knock them for that since its literally called spicy edamame. It came covered in a chili crisp like oil.Pork Shumai - These were one of the first dishes we ordered to arrive and was the first time I was disappointed. It was like a dry pork meatball covered in a dumpling wrapper. The meat was dry and oddly tough for a dumpling filling.Shanghai Soup Pork Dumplings - Similar issue to the pork shumai. The meat filling was not that juicy. It was a proper soup dumpling but somehow the filling was not great. Crispy Peking Duck Rice Paper Roll - Another disappointing dish. I was expecting something similar to the preparation of peking duck with hoisin and some scallions. It was a duck spring roll. There were too many other filings that the small amount of duck inside was almost undetectable. Spicy Tuna with Crispy Rice - I thought the tuna on top was excellent but the crispy rice was only okay. This item was one that I liked overall but was not impressed.Hong Kong Style Baby Back Ribs - The ribs and sauce were nothing special. The ribs were acceptable but I found the sauce to be too sweet. It was bright red and almost syrupy. Rosemary Lamb Chops - Probably the most disappointing item. I was looking forward to the lamb but everything was wrong. The chops were very small and they were not cooked well. The meat was pretty tough and it was not super well seasoned. Chocolate Lava Cake - I didn't try this dessert but it got devoured very quickly which I assume meant it was good.Hokkaido Cream Cake - The description said with fresh berries so I was a bit underwhelmed by the two blackberrings and half a strawberry on the plate. Other than that it was pretty good. Looked like a vanilla hoho. The cream was yummy. The cake was little dry but overall happy with it.Our waiter was outstanding. She took our orders without a note pad and still got everything right. She was also very attentive and navigated the chaos of ordering before happy hour ended very well.I'd give Jing a C+/C. Somewhere in the 5.5 to 6.5 out of 10 range for me. Other people in my party enjoyed it more than I did.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, service, and ambiance.
Loved the spicy tuna with crispy rice, portobello mushroom dumplings, and the truffle shrimp dumplings. Can't wait to go back!
Be the first to ReplyOur experience at this restaurant was not amazing.
Maybe we should have tried it another time, it was on the off season and our reservation was at 9 pm. The hostess called us and asked if we could come earlier, I guess because they were slow and wanted to close earlier. Our food tasted ok. It did not blow me away. The plating was beautiful but the portions were tiny. I understand how food is plated and why, my husband is a chef. Our cocktails were tasty. We spent quite a bit of money for this dinner on food that was rather bland and not filling at all. I've heard good things about this restaurant and so I think that we may have just caught them on a bad night. I love Asian food and there are not too many options around, so I am sure we will give it a second chance.

Food has gone way downhill, still liked going but now with their 48hr, $100 per person cancellation policy it's not worth the risk. Food used to be great asian fusion and worth the cost but now it's just an overpriced confusing menu of random Chinese and Japanese items sprinkled throughout the menu

Upscale sushi with good service! Great happy hour with fair priced bites to try. Salmon sushi and great dumplings! Good service at the bar. Care is taken with presentation which is very nice. There are some beautiful flowers and arrangements served with the sushi. Clean and comfy, friendly server!
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Asian cuisine .
Good variety and friendly service. Outdoor seating available.
Be the first to ReplyIt took 15 minutes for our waiter to come to the table.
Our drinks arrived after our meal and the food was not very good. Overall a miserable experience. Lunch bill was also $120 and we are still hungry. Not a good sign that we are now back at our place trying to fill ourselves up.
Be the first to ReplyThey have a good menu, but problems with consistency.
One lunch was all good food, after two days at dinner was like eating at a different restaurant. Especially dim sum. One major upset is that sushi and rolls are waaaay over priced. Are you serious ?! Same prize and often higher than at Matsuhisa ?!Come on !

I have to say that I have not been as disappointed with a meal in a long time as I was with my dinner from Jing last night. I thought I would be posting a 5 star review, but, obviously, I am not. Was it awful? No. But definitely was not the culinary masterpiece that I thought I was getting. My family and I are here for a reunion, and last night was the only night that we didn't have a large function planned. So, we wanted something more upscale than the sandwiches and bar-b-q we'll be having for our next few dinners. My husband and I picked up dinner for us, my parents, and my brother and his wife. My parents have pretty small appetites, so we tried not to over order like we usually do. I was SO EXCITED about everything on this menu, especially the dumplings. I was not excited about the $250 bill for 3 orders of dumplings, 3 sushi rolls, and 1 order of noodles, but I thought it would be worth it. I was wrong. First of all, the portions are very small for what you're paying. We all looked at what came out of the take out bag and said "Is this it?!" Second, there was nothing spectacular about the food. The dumplings were all pretty bland. The rolls were ok, but not for almost $50 per roll (Aspen Roll). The best dish was the Singapore street noodles, but I can find those at 5 different restaurants at home in Phoenix. Everything was hot when we picked it up, and my brother's place is just a few minutes down the street, so I don't think this is a case where it would been any better if we ate in the restaurant. If we hadn't been so tired from traveling all day, we would have ordered a pizza to finish off the meal. Service was good, though. Whoever took my order over the phone was very friendly, and our order was ready when we arrived.
