🤢 2/5 - I usually order from Dera in the neighborhood but decided

I usually order from Dera in the neighborhood but decided to try something new. I always pass by kabob king but never had eaten there. I ordered delivery via Uber eats. I ordered a chicken biriyani, chicken curry/korma, and a chicken chapali kabob. I know the food is pre-made and left sitting out during the day, and did account for this. As Dera does it as well. Unfortunately, Kabob King is definitely doing something wrong because the biriyani ($12.95) was so dried out that the chicken pieces had become tough and difficult to chew. The rice was SO BLAND, it tasted like nothing. This is SHOCKING for Indian food which is always so abundantly flavored with spices. Thank goodness I ordered the chicken curry ($9.99) to go with it or the biriyani would have been even more disappointing on its own. The curry was REALLY oily and the chicken was pretty rubbery. It wasn't spicy, didn't really taste great, but at least added a little something to the dry rice. The chapali kebab ($2.93) which I was so looking forward to was so clearly burnt and tasted as such. Oddly enough, still the most flavorful thing I ordered. Lesson learned. Stick to what you know. This was a really disappointing experience, especially when it came out to about $34-35 with tax, fees, and tip. I'm only giving it two stars because at least it was somewhat edible if you add a ton of pepper sauce and douse the rice in oily curry.
