KITA Park City Reviews
We have been 5 times, and this was our best meal by far.
The Summer Tasting Menu (you may have to request it - 3 course $68) is an amazing selection of their best dishes and represents a great value at this very expensive restaurant. We had the chicken karaage (+$15), Caesar, sushi sampler (+$20), Filet, Branzino, Prime Strip (+$12) and one of each of the desserts. Well composed delicious meal, and cost less than half of our other visits. Really good, best meal of our 7 day June trip.
Outstanding food; fresh sushi; some of the best salads ever!
Truly five star food and ambiance. Some of the best sushi Iβve ever enjoyed in a land-locked location. Salad (kale) was probably a top three salad in my lifetime. Unbelievably excellent. Service was sometimes a bit slow (we had a larger group there for a business dinner) and not super attentive with drinks, etc. But the food quality completely made up for it.

Queen of the Castle
As we arrived we were met by Paula and the Host with smiles and a warm welcome. We were seated promptly. I was the only one in the restaurant due to it being slow but the service was top notch I felt like I was the queen of the castle. Shayne was my server and she was amazing. I cant wait to come back and see them again in July. Everyone I met was so nice and always greeted me with a smile.
I spent $150 tax and tip for a 8 oz filet and a Kita Sushi
I spent $150 tax and tip for a 8 oz filet and a Kita Sushi Roll with no drinks. Meal was mediocre at best . You can get a larger steak that's much better and a better price at Ruth Chris Steak House. $35 for a sushi roll that is made with krab, better sushi can be bought at the local Whole Foods. I do have to say the Bartender was very nice and service was good but the food is definitely not worth the price tag.
Food was excellent.
The rolls were very filling and we enjoyed the experience. Service was good.
The food is pricy but pretty tasty.
Had the fried rice, rainbow roll, kita roll and toro. Also had a couple of drinks. The toro was excellent but the rainbow roll was PRE-MADE. I saw them grab 2 right from their fridge and add on the fish. This is such poor form. It's not like there weren't enough people working at the sushi bar. I've never seen this happen at a Japanese restaurant. I'm wondering now if most of the roll was even made there and just not from Smiths. This shouldn't happen, especially when the rolls are around $30.
We had a great dinner at Kita.
We were with a large group. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We ordered an assortment of sushi, sashimi, rolls & apps. We enjoyed it all. The karaage and firecracker apps were 2 of our favorites along with the Japanese sweet potato. Our servers were knowledgeable and attentive.
I can't recommend Kita enough.
A steakhouse located within Canyons base, you would think they sell overpriced food to lazy tourists who don't want to leave the resort. You would be so incredibly wrong. Despite all of our great meals we had in Park City, this had to be the best. I wish I could give it extra stars. The service here was great. Our waiter was knowledgable and gave us amazing recommendations. The cocktails were fine. I can't really remember if they were good or bad, so I would give them a 6.5/10 by default. We shared everything and got the hamachi collar, the scallop nigiri, the american wagyu ribeye, with sweet potatoes, mushrooms, and fried rice as sides. We ended up taking some of the sides home because this was quite a lot of food for two people. Everything was amazing. The only thing that was "average" was the mushroom side, but still good. The steak was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The hamachi collar had a sweet chili style glaze that was to die for. But maybe the best bite of the evening was the scallop nigiri. It was lightly torched and topped with some truffle shavings and parmesan. An amazing bite. We debated going back to just get that nigiri and the fried rice. If you are in Canyons Village, or really Park City in general, I would recommend a visit.
Excellent food and service.
Came back for the apple and fennel salad etc and the menu changed! Which is nice they switch things around. Priced higher but quality of food is there. Upscale atmosphere in the Pendry at the Canyons so believe that they could offer a more unique tea service than a bag of tea w water. It would just add another level to an already good restaurant.
Food was phenomenal
This was a phenomenal meal!! The steak was amazing. Donβt skip on the mashed potatoes. Sushi was delicious. Bourbon edamame was phenomenal. Great environment for a date night.
Best filet I have ever had.
The ramen was amazing!! Ambiance is brilliant and the service is outstanding. Will be coming back on our next trip.
Service was good.
Food is good, but at the price you pay, I expect it to be excellent. Steak was chewy, again, for the price, I expected it to be melt in your mouth fantastic. Sushi was ok, again it was not a meth in your mouth experience...somewhat chewy. I would not go back mainly due to the overprice experience. $300+ for two people (sushi, fish dinner, steak dinner, and two sized, plus one beer).
From the moment we walked in, the hostess Vicky was amazing
From the moment we walked in, the hostess Vicky was amazing ! Accommodated our 7 party table immediately. Our waitress was KATIE and she was nothing short of AMAZING! Food was amazing !! We started with the KITA and she spicy tuna crispy rice ! She went over the top to get us fresh wasabi ! Steaks were cooked to perfection, sides were amazing ! We had mashed potatoes, broccolini , and fried rice !! We celebrated a birthday and they were so amazing with bringing out the cake , and still giving us a free dessert !! Amazing experience to end our trip in Utah !! Katie if you're reading this we adored you !! You are amazing and deserve all the good things in life coming your way !!!
Best meal in Park City
This was the best meal my 14 year old son ever had (his words), and he is picky. The wagyu tomahawk was so flavorful and perfectly cooked. Itβs pricy but worth it for an amazing steak. The miso soup was great and itβs hard to make miso soup great. My wifeβs sushi was very flavorful and fresh. The cheesecake dessert was amazing. The waiter Dylan was awesome and entertaining. Overall the best meal we had this trip, and we have eaten at mostly the top restaurants in Park City.
Wish I ordered something else.
Cocktails were good. Waitstaff was professional. However, I can buy a finer cut of American Waygu ribeye at our local grocery store. Less fat than most Angus beef and really pretty tasteless. I was disappointed. It appeared other guests were quite pleased with their choices. The sushi looked fresh and the atmosphere was fairly intimate. Likely a great stop after a day of skiing.
Okay could be better and others better
It was good not the greatest experience. We live in pc and was looking forward to trying this place. We ordered sushi for us as a couple and saki. Warm bread and butter came out as a starter without us ordering and thatβs not my idea of sushi starter. But i just didnβt eat it and moved on. Then our sushi came out without any soy sauce so we just sat there trying to flag someone down once we realized we had no condiments. They are busy for sure. It was good. Donβt get me wrapped bf the sushi alone i would rank a 4 but there are places that are 5 with excellent service. As a PC local i will not be going back -there are better places in pc
Kita is the place in Park City by far!
We visited Kita on the last day of our trip, and to be honest, if we would have dined there the first night, we may have chosen this restaurant for every meal. We werenβt aware that the restaurant offered breakfast, lunch, and dinner-again even more reason to try the delectable foods presented here more than once. We dined with family and Eddie was our waiter. He was EXCELLENT! He guided our choices, and we are so glad to have followed his lead. Some of the items we ordered were the: Edamame with bourbon teriyaki and sesame. It was delicious but a little messy on the fingers. But no worries. Eddie brought us a unique wet towel experience that almost makes getting messy worth it! We also tried the katsu fried cauliflower. That could have been a main dish item. Almost like buffalo chicken without the heaviness. For our salad, Eddie recommended stepping out and trying the carrot ginger salad. He described it as light and that is a perfect description. It was a large salad, but again, no heavy feeling after eating it. Since it was Friday and we were not eating meat, we opted for the miso tofu and vegetable ramen noodles. So, so delicious! And we paired some of our items with the truffled mashed potatoes and spinach side dishes. Just say, we didnβt swallow our tongues with the mashed potatoes, but it was close!
Your fancy meal of the week in Park City
This restaurant is in another category completely from the rest we have tried during our time in Park City. Great menu with sushi, interesting appetizers, and a variety of steaks and fish. The ribeye was wonderful. Would recommend ginger salad, cauliflower, hamachi crudo as well. Lovely ambiance and well trained wait staff.
5 Star Dining
Incredible meal and overall experience at Kita. Sushi was fresh (flown in from Japan) and steak delectable. And do NOT skip dessert. Entire wait staff incredible and restaurant buzzing. HIGHLY recommend.
Hip and beautiful vibe and really good food
Kudos to our server who recommended the cocktail with the jalapeΓ±o-it was fab! Thanks for that! Not a big sushi menu but what we had was quite good. I can recommend the scallop, hamachi and salmon sushi. We also had the vegetable futo-maki with salmon and can highly recommend the miso-sake halibut main dish. Will be back.

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to KITA Park City at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the KITA Park City page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FulfilledThread16, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* FulfilledThread16 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FulfilledThread16 for any questions Peter may have as FulfilledThread16 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* FulfilledThread16 now uses their connections at KITA Park City to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FulfilledThread16 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FulfilledThread16 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FulfilledThread16's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at KITA Park City!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
