Best French bistro ambiance and great staff who works with you to pick great food and affordable wine pairing.
Be the first to ReplyGood food.
Nice ambience. Had the Coq Au Vin. It was tasty. French food tends to be on the saltier side of world cuisines. I enjoyed the soufflé for dessert. This is an area full of decent restaurants and La Boheme is a great addition to the line-up of wonderful eateries in Palo Alto.

Went for Brunch, loved the ambiance of this French restaurant, the food was lovely. I would have loved to linger over a second cup of coffee but was very crowded. The eggs Benedict were pure French confections. I will be back.
Be the first to ReplyLove this place!! Delicious food, lovely atmosphere.
Went twice in one week. The service was better the first time. Will definitely return!
Be the first to ReplyGreat food.
duck a l'orange was soo good. Found a new wine we loke as well. We will be going back
Be the first to ReplyPretty disappointing.
The food was very mediocre, but the prices didn't reflect the low quality of the food. Service was ok, but the ambience was quite kitschy; they're really leaning heavily into the Parisian thing (like, why is there a Métro sign above the kitchen?).
Be the first to ReplyI don't know what it is about this place.
.. the warmth of the staff, the awesome French bistro ambience, or the consistently amazing food...but La Boheme makes for a fun night out, and it's become a new favorite of mine (3 times this last month!!).
Be the first to ReplyThe service was excellent.
We each had onion soup and the Croque Monsieur both of which very good. The atmosphere was very pleasant. We will definitely come here again
Be the first to ReplyDinner with 4 friends on weekday evening.
Ordered bouillabaisse and requested seafood NOT be overcooked. When served, taste was okay - not great, but every seafood item was so overcooked I ate less than 5%, Shrimp hard and dry, could not swallow. Shellfish hard and tasteless. Just dipped pre-dinner bread into liquid. The bread with the dish was appreciated as nothing else was edible. Owner/partner came by to chat, never really interested in how food was, just doing "social rounds." Every place can have subpar nights, but this was at 1 percentile level, and will NEVER go back.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food, service and atmosphere.
Will visit again soon and try another special. Super family friendly and something for everyone!

While we were in Palo Alto , we decided to meet up with old friends from Buffalo, our home town who have been living in the Bay Area for many years. They told us to select the restaurant because they do not eat out often. I chose La Boheme because they had a Sunday brunch and they honored our late reservations. Apparently everyone eat out for Sunday brunch because the only times for most restaurants were well after 2 pm. This turned out to be a hit and I highly recommend this restaurant for several reasons:1. Very French with all the trimmings. Small, quaint with a very French atmosphere and menu.2. We had French toast, eggs Benedict and breakfast scrambled. All were enjoyable and rated 9-10.3. The waitstaff was attentive and discreet.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful menu, fabulous service, reasonable noise level.
I look forward to my next visit.
Be the first to ReplyGréât as usual !! Both service and food quality .
For the ambiance it's great as the team is so friendly ! Plus a little live band too
Be the first to ReplyI was there with two friends for a birthday luncheon.
The food was delicious and the service was attentive and we didn't feel rushed at all. My friend even got treated to a desert on the occasion of her birthday.
Be the first to ReplyCame here on a Saturday just around 1pm.
We were sat inside without being given the option to sit outside. Waited at least 5 minutes before anyone came by to take our order even though it was mostly empty. We ordered drinks and brunch. I can't say how anything tasted because we never received anything. People who ordered after us received their orders before we even got drinks. I don't think that anyone put our order in and thr server never noticed that we still had nothing even after seeing us sit there for over 20 minutes. We finally ended up walking out.

Went for a second time last night in a couple of weeks after a nice experience the first time. They were busy and took a while to get to us, but once they did, we couldn't be more pleased. We ordered Coc au Vin and Confit salads that were wonderful. It matched an amazing Cassoulet during the previous visit. We again left wondering why we hadn't discovered this place a long time ago. If you are looking for in and out textbook service counting their dollars for the next table, go elsewhere. If you want to enjoy an authentic French meal, wine and service that allows you to linger with your family and friends, this is the place.
Be the first to ReplyGreat local restaurant.
Came here with family and enjoyed authentic French cuisine. The owner was super friendly and came over to chat (mostly about the World Cup at the time). Will definitely be back.
Be the first to ReplyNothing here has been worth it.
The food is either overpriced or poorly made. And it's been overbooked more than once. But the worst of all, the food is just boring!!! Bland and boring.Even the French onion soup has scarce amounts of cheese (especially for such an overpriced French onion soup). No thanks. I'd suggest going somewhere where the food isn't boring. If you're one for a more distilled, toned down pallet, you might enjoy. Adding a star because whenever we're order it, they bring it either on time or early.

It pains me to write this but I got Uber Eats breakfast delivery and the quality was inexcusable. Totally burnt French toast, watered down lattes, soggy egg scramble packed with what were supposed to be crispy hash-browns. Tastes like everything was cooked in burnt oil. Not sure how each dish and lattes I ordered was flawed so terribly. I know they make good brunch as I have eaten there but to let this out of the kitchen to be delivered is a shame. And what French restaurant puts grapes and pineapple on French toast?

Ever since we went to La Boheme a few months ago, it has become our favorite haunt. We have lived in France for some time and go back every year twice at least and for the first time we can say that We have found a real French restaurant in the bay. Not complicated nor pretentious just real delicious French traditional dishes: saumon mariné, côté de bœuf, lotte a l'armoricaine, os à la moelle etc. and it is perfect. Same goes for their incredible deserts: the soufflés au grand mariner and au chocolat as Well as the île flottante, are hands down the best deserts on the west coast. At la bohème, they know how to treat their clients and their warm welcome often includes complimentary tasting of chefs creations: this is how we got to try the sweetbreads with lobster, we had never had anything like that before it was just heavenly. Highly recommended also are the wild mushroom velouté, the octopus, the escargot, the filet de saint pierre or the entrecôte marchand de vin...everything is out of this world! French cuisine at its best! Go and enjoy!

We returned for their fabulous chocolate soufflé! The best!We also ordered the mussels and escargots. Service was excellent and we sat indoors at lunch... lots of space!
Be the first to ReplyOk service, some dishes were great and some just ok.
Pasta with prosciutto was perfection. La bohème sandwich was ok, oddly large portion. Baked Brie appetizer and tarte tatin dessert not so great. Service was pleasant and helpful just not consistently available (weeknight outdoor dinner, they weren't busy, just standing around). Inside and women's restroom were super clean, everything looks brand new.
Be the first to ReplyNice little spot to eat.
We sat outside under the rent. Food was awesome and staff was super nice. Great brunch spot on a Sunday
