Lebanese restaurants in Montréal have always been a go-to place for my family and I since, you know, were Lebanese and like our food and our traditions. We decided to try La Cave du Roi on a Sunday during the month of April, on my birthday. If you want to enjoy a Lebanese meal without having the whole "dance-floor and loud music" experience, this is it!This is one of the only Lebanese restaurants in Montréal where you can bring your own wine. It has the typical formula which is cold mezza followed by hot mezza and meat platter as a main plate. Everything was delicious! The owner and his wife prepare every plate with a lot of care and you can definitely sense that every ingredient they use is fresh, nothing has been prepared in advance! The price which I believe was 30$ per person is cheaper than most Lebanese mezza-style restaurants and you eat A LOT for the price. The place is never too crowded, but I would definitely recommend calling for a reservation in advance because it's not a huge restaurant. It was very clean, the atmosphere was very calm but also brought back some Lebanese memories with the music playing in the background.Leave some place at the end for the delicious desserts and traditional Lebanese (bitter but good) cup of coffee!
