Lovely birthday meal with friends
I attended here on 24/03/2023 for an early birthday dinner with my friends. We opted for the set menu with pasta and we were so pleased with the food. We had an Aperol spritz as our welcome drink and we were given complimentary bruschetta. Starters were very tasty and there was so much food for the 4 of us - they cater very well for vegetarians as 1 of our party is veggie so have a mix of platters for all to enjoy. The pasta was cooked to perfection and so delicious. Being my birthday they came over with a dessert plate with firework sparkler in it and all the staff gathered with tambourines to sing happy birthday, it was loud, it was joyful and fabulous! The amount and quality of food was worth the price and I would return. The staff were efficient and the service was great๐ We saw online that Italian nonnas cook and serve the food which might have been exaggerated as we were just served by the waiting staff however this did not effect the evening at all.
Be the first to ReplyDonโt come here
Attended 24/03/2023 at 8pm Ordered the tuna tarter & sea bass carpaccio which took forever to come & when it did it had a very fishy taste indicating the fish was off. The server noticed it had not been eaten & said she would speak to the manager to get it taken off the menu. Main course took over 70 mins to come dispute several reminders & the service was extremely poor with no one coming to ask for drinks or clear the table. Upon departure someone called Antonio said he had not refunded the two fish dishes as he was unable to do so but if we came another time he will give a discount. He attributed the poor food & poor service to being โvery busyโ which was nonsense. When told that why would we come back to eat again when we had such a bad experience, he said he could do nothing about the refund. Avoid this restaurant like a plague as there is nothing good about it & it soils the reputation of Italian food in london. If there was any sincerity & ownership to serving food that had gone off - why would you not refund as you said you would? And instead tell the guest to come back & eat more rotten food? No thank you โฆ.ever!
Be the first to ReplyA very rushed dinner
Lovely food, friendly service, good value. However - our dining experience was spoilt by the speed at which we felt we were rushed through our meal. One course immediately followed another. The coffee arrived with the dessert. Although their website states the table is available for only 90 minutes, I (wrongly) assumed there would be some leeway. Clearly not! This is far too short a time period to relax and enjoy a large 4-course meal. On this basis, what could have been a 4-5 star experience this only gets 3 stars. Sadly, we will not come back.

Be the first to ReplyOverpriced and mediocre
Was very underwhelmed, the starter board was mediocre and pasta very overpriced for what it was. Service was efficient but food really did not live up to the high price.
Be the first to ReplyYes, this is great food and family-style hospitality. Not a film set...
Lovely waitress, solid table service, accommodating menu, good wine. Having lived in Italy, this is the real deal - don't just believe Tucci. wonderful diversity of antipasti, and top-drawer pasta. Great all round.
Be the first to ReplyShocking overpriced Set menu- authentic Italian - nope, terrible !
Booking 1900 hours, Restaurant basement level stunk of the grease trap / drainage smell, had to move tables when we arrived. Should have left then. Menu is either 3 choices of set menu or a la carte. We had seen the restaurant on Sunday Brunch TV show and Stanley Tucci- they both had recommended the set as the standard & choice was authentic. We opted for the ยฃ50 which lets you choose pasta & Main- all come with pre drinks, starter selection, dessert & coffee! Drinks terrible - Prosecco or Aperol Spritz, we all left them! Starter OMG ! other than a nice soft cheese & fresh Arancini ball each, the rest is cold slop in 3x bowls( should be hot) & cold couscous. We asked for bread to mop up the slop, it took 10 minutes and we were charged ยฃ4 for 4 tiny slices! Pasta course ok - not really amazingly authentic- flavourless. Most of our Mains were great - I had wild boar & my friend the Cod were lovely. My other friends Pork was dry. Deserts are so poor ! 2x 3 cm square tarts each and a shared tiny portion of cream, cannot be called desert. Coffee is only single expresso, my friend wanted an Americano but was told it was extra. He didnโt bother. The wine was ยฃ55 Sicilian full bodied Red on the menu, in reality it was thin , medium, cheap tasting wine. I have had better ยฃ 7 bottles of red wine from the supermarket. The bill arrived, I complained and manager apologised & recommended we return to another branch, much better! I declined. ยฃ245 for 3 people- absolutely terrible, no matter what you have seen, read or heard donโt book there are loads better proper authentic Italians out there in London with great food & that donโt stink of drainage.

We went on Saturday night, beautiful atmosphere and crazy food. We did the "mammas menu" Selections of Antipasti VERY VERY GOOD and pasta's like the ones I've eaten in Rome. Thank you so much for the wonderful evening See you soon
Be the first to ReplyBAD FOOD! Way Overpriced! AVOID
Went here for lunch ยฃ50 per person, set menu, antipasti was greasy, not fresh, we hardly touched any of it after tasting. The four of us were squeezed on to a small table then asked to shuffle up for the table next to us, when downstairs is completely empty! - apart from staff on their laptops, eating and drinking. Pasta for main was just ok. No โmamaโsโ in the kitchen, which makes me think the concept is probably not quite what they say it is. Our server asked if we liked the antipasti, we said not really, he couldnโt of cared less. Desert was just ok too. Way overpriced, far better options very close by. Avoid.
Be the first to ReplyLoud, fun, good food.
It was inexpensive food. Probably really nice people working there. But the underlying pressure they work thru crowds and timing showed. The food great. But yelling to talk to our cousins wasn't fun. I was exhausted when I left.
Be the first to ReplyNothing to complain about this is authentic as they come. Little expensive but you expect this in chelsea everything ๐๐ฝ
This was an experience the food the staff everyone was perfect. It could not have been better. Chelsea price but higher than most
Be the first to ReplyDelicious food and awesome service!
Everything was fabulous. The staff were awesome. It was busy but they all seemed to be in a good mood. We had the prix fixe dinner and were able to sub a glass of prosecco for the aperol spritz. The antipasto, pasta and dessert were all full of flavour and delicious. The antipasto was like a meal in and of itself. Instead of sitting right by the door we asked to be a little bit further back. We were seated by where the staff input their orders so it was fun to speak with them throughout our meal. Also had a great conversation with the owner Peppe, and he treated us limoncello to end our meal. Loved everything about this place and will go again next time we visit London.

Fantastic food, great service (by Michelia) and totally worth the visit. Best food since Italy itself.
Be the first to ReplyFabulous night!
Fabulous. Go here. You won't be disappointed. Food and service were great. We did the Prix fix and enjoyed everything--it was 40 for aperol spritz, starter, pasta, dessert and espresso. Delish. Stanley Tucci steered us right!
Be the first to ReplyExceptional food, fantastic staff and a great atmosphere
Four of us (2 couples) went to La Mia Mammas on Tuesday night at 7pm and the place was buzzing. It kept buzzing all night - I would try and get the table near to the chefs at the far end as you really get a feel for the place. As it was our first visit we opted for the ยฃ45pp option that included everything. Beware that this is really filling but is well worth the money. Stephano and his team were excellent - offering great service and enjoying a laugh with the customers whilst keeping professional and efficient. We loved the place and would recommend it to young and old - were all over 65.

Best experience ever, the place was full of vibes especially from Michela who made our night with her charm, food was just outstanding!!!
Be the first to ReplyLived Up to the Hype!
Food was awesome! Had the pasta menu for 6 people and the cacio et pepe was "life changing"! There was quite a wait between the antipasti but it was worth it. Servers were very good and never slowed down the whole time we were there. Came from the US on the advice of Stanley Tucci's "Searching for Italy" and were not disappointed!
Be the first to ReplyGreat Experience
I went there with my three teenage grand kids. Had amazing food. Totally recommend getting the pre-set dinner but be warned it's a lot of food. I will go again and highly recommend this place to anyone in the area. The menu changes every three months as they fly Italian Mom's and Grandma's to prepare their regional recipes. Such a great concept and experience.
Be the first to ReplyVery busy Italian
This restaurant is hopping and you really need a booking. Nice buzz and the food is very good. Service is good but a little snooty.
Be the first to ReplyA disappointment from start to finish.
We ordered the set menu option of an antipasti platter for two, an Aperol Spritz each, and a pasta dish each, which was supposed to come with complimentary coffee and a dessert.
The Aperol Spritz had no fizz to it all and tasted as though it had be heavily watered down: the first disappointment.
The antipasti platter came and initially this looked like a generous platter of food. The quality of the food however was greatly lacking. The minestrone soup was cold, the beans were no more than flavoured baked beans, the frittata was sweaty and unpleasant, and the calamari was rubbery and the batter sodden and far from crispy. The best part of the platter was the olives, which says a lot.
We then waited nearly an hour for our pasta dishes to come. In this time we had to ask twice if our food was on its way.
When our food arrived we were offered some excuse about the restaurant operating a new ordering system, which is of little consolation to a hungry diner.
The pasta dishes were surprisingly hot, and tasty, but by no means worth the hourโs wait.
At no point throughout the meal did the waiting staff check in to see if our meal was to our satisfaction. It very much felt as though we had been given up on, and a couple sat next to us appeared to be in the same boat.
When our plates were cleared, we were not offered a dessert menu or if we wanted our coffees. After a further 20 minuteโs wait, we asked to cancel our desserts and coffees as weโd waited long enough. At this point no discount was offered to our bill until we had asked for this to be considered given the underwhelming experience.
I can only hope we caught the team on a difficult day, but I cannot say I will be looking to return, or recommend anyone else consider making a reservation.
Italian Insanity!
The food is fantastic. Go for the set menu and be prepared to leave full!
The atmosphere is amazing- a great energy. Go here if you want to feel like part of the family, eat loads, get drunk and leave smiling your face off.
Great classic Italian restaurant
Pasta was fresh and amazing, very difficult to find good pasta in London, staff was very polite and attentive

Lovely restaurant in a lovely area. The concept is really interesting and has a great potential. The food was tasty and well presented and portions are so generous that we had to ask for a doggie bag! Michela and Stefano looked after us and made us feel welcome and cuddled! Bravo!
