What an amazing Michelin star restaurant in the heart of
What an amazing Michelin star restaurant in the heart of Rome & located in the beautiful hotel Eden. We ordered the chef's 3 course tasting menu accompanied with wine pairings. The chef introduces you to flavors that your palate has probably never tasted. The interior is very contemporary & modern. The staff is bilingual & exhibit true 5 start treatment.

The amuse-bouche was wonderful with a wheat grass shot to cleanse the pallet. We had the X year tasting menu. It was a delicious and complex explosion of flavors! Highly recommend!!

Kudos to this restaurant that served a small group of high school students on a school trip to Italy (delayed 3 times due to Covid restrictions) in March 2022. My 17 year old son and 3 classmates (two young ladies and another young man) went to this restaurant after one of the young ladies researched it and recommended it to the group. All are very well traveled kids, but the two boys were "under-dressed" for this Michelin starred experience. Nevertheless, they were served one of the most fantastic meals of their lives and treated to beautiful service, food and overall experience. At no point were they looked down on due to clothing or age. I'm not sure that would have happened in the U.S. So, it is now on Mom and Dad's must-do list the next time we go to Rome. Thank you and we enjoyed the pics and story our son brought back!

There's no question about the class in dining here. You feel it right when you step in Hotel Eden's lobby to take the elevator up to the restaurant. You should be willing to spend an average of €350/$400. Cheapest item I saw on the menu was €130. We did our research to find this place and I'll say it was worth every dime. The chef kept our taste buds guessing. Definitely a highlight of our Europe trip. View is beautiful and service is excellent. They deserve their Michelin star and more. In my experience, most times presentation and taste don't mix. We did something like this in Dubai - on a cruise with beautiful views and nicely presented food but the food tasted weird and we were still hungry by the end of the night! This wasn't the case at La Terrazza! Everrryyythiinngg looked AND tasted so good. We were also very full by the end of the night. Be sure to checkout the photos! We got the harmony which is 8 courses but it felt something around 12 courses. The food just kept flowing! Even desert came in 3 courses. If you're looking for a fancy dining experience and to get a good bang for your buck, don't hesitate to book a reservation at La Terrazza!
Be the first to ReplyWhat an amazing view, fantastic food and atmosphere it was
What an amazing view, fantastic food and atmosphere it was at La Terrazza! Our waiter, Chiro, was excellent! and we want to thank him so much to make our experience extra special! He is such a kind person!!!Anyway, we had "harmony" tasting menu (8 courses) and also wine tasting which was 285 euro. The presentation of food at this restaurant just amazed us.. My fiance and I have been to many michelin starred restaurants all around the world, but La Terrazza can be in top 5 for sure! All the course impressed us, but we absolutely loved "Gran Riserva risotto with Franciacorta wine, oyster and rocket (+caviar!!!!)." Oyster was so fresh, yet tender. I will not forget about its taste ever. Braised beef was a bit chewy, so maybe 8/10 if I have to rate. However, I hate to give minus points, but if I have to, I will say there were 2 issues we had. First, the manager came to our table before we even ordered and told us that we can only reserve the table until 9:15pm when our reservation was at 7pm (we got there around 7:05pm). if you are serving 8 courses and also 8+glasses of wine for wine tasting, you do not ask customers to leave in 2 hours. I have never been to the restaurants that ask customers to chug the wine and leave quickly.. that was a big minus, we could have ordered simpler course menu, but hey... we are in Rome. let us enjoy our trip.. by the time we finished our 4th menu, it was already 9:00pm. enough said. Also, their majority wine was white.. we expected to have at least half white wine and half red wine. They even had white wine with meat course which I thought was very odd... but whatever, food was great. we enjoyed it.Despite of a few negative experiences we had, I will still recommend this place to anyone who is going to travel to Rome for fooooood! you will not regret spending money at this restaurant!
Be the first to ReplyFantastic view of the city with exceptional service.
If you're cost conscious you may want to skip it, but it's well worth the cost. Staff is very friendly and they have live music most days of the week. Noteworthy fact is that after 6pm, men need to wear pants.

Amazing rooftop bar! A definite must for a late afternoon drink. We ordered martinis with blue cheese stuffed olives not realizing that is an American thing not an Italian thing. The bartender, Dominico, actually took the initiative to find pitted black olives and hand stuff them with blue cheese from the restaurant. Truly a special treat and amazing service. Highly recommended!

What an experience! It was my first real "tasting" and it was amazing. Even the items I'd never typically order were unbelievable. It was an 8 course tasting with some extra "snacks". It's not cheap but worth for the service, food and overall atmosphere of the restaurant. Thank you, La Terrazza! Unforgettable!
Be the first to ReplyExcellent service and presentation.
I believe eating dinner especially at these prices should be an experience like no other so when it came to service and presentation they exceeded any previous experience I've had at any restaurant. I'm a foodie, with a decent appetite so I order a lot of dishes just so I could have a good overall perspective on how good the food actually is. Because let's face it that's why we are here. Keep going back and fourth between a four and a five. I'm going to mark this review as a 5. But if you took the time to read this review you probably care about food, so I will tell you it's a STRONG 4 to SOFT 5. Recommendation:* The Spaghetti w/ percorino and Madagascar black pepper* The Lamb was perfect. Although the slimy spinach leaf they wrap it around I could do without. It takes away from the lamb
Be the first to ReplyWhile in Rome, might as well go all out on the food.
I was in Italy for work and was aware that Italy had the 2nd most Michelin Rated restaurants in the world, with France being the number 1 country. After researching many places, looking at their menus, locations, and availability, my colleague and I decided that La Terrazza would be the first Michelin restaurant to visit.Really glad that we did because we had an awesome experience. First, the restaurant is located on the top floor of the upscale Eden Hotel. So at night there was a wonderful view of all that the city of Rome has to offer. The experience really starts as you walk into the hotel, since all of the hotel staff greet you and ensure you are headed the right direction. Upon checking in at the restaurant, our coats were taken to the coat room and we were quickly seated at our table. There are a couple menu options available to you for dinner. First is their 5 course tasting menu called "My Classics", or you can pick their "Harmony" menu which is an 8 course tasting menu. Just so you know both options come with 2 pre-starters complimentary of the chef and also 2 additional dessert courses, also complimentary of the chef. We opted for the Harmony (while in Rome, right?) and ended up with 12 total courses.Service was amazing and the food was really good. Our Harmony tasting included the following courses:ScallopsLangousteinSea UrchinRisottoVeal RavioliSalmonRibeyeTiramisuOf all the courses I would have to say (in this order) that the Veal Ravioli, Ribeye, and Scallops were my favorites of the night. We did order cocktails as part of our pre-meal and then moved into wine for the main dishes. All the drinks were on point, but I do have to mention I was disappointed wine our server poured one glass of wine and then under poured by a significant amount into the second glass. I compared the two classes and it was a huge difference - this is not something I would expect from a Michelin rated restaurant. It was nice of the chef to actually make his way around the restaurant to visit all of the tables. I thought that was a nice touch. Overall a great meal. It was a little pricey at 200 Euros per person for the Harmony tasting. Add drinks, tax, and tip on top of that and you'll walk out of there at around 300 Euros a person. I enjoyed the whole experience but I'm not sure I would do it again, as in my following days in Rome I had another awesome Michelin star rated restaurant which was even more amazing, but at a fraction of the price.
Be the first to ReplyWow! This was my first time experiencing a 5 course meal
Wow! This was my first time experiencing a 5 course meal and I am happy it was here. We had the chefs table and the staff was soooo friendly. They explained each plate as it came out and offered us a wine pairing as well. The food was artistically displayed and they definitely played to your five senses. They have four options: three course, al la carte, five course and eight courses. One of our courses was served with a rose infused water spread aromaticly about the table to pair with the dish! The food was delicious and not your typical meal. We were offered pre dessert and chocolates in addition to our meal which left an impression. The American coffee was the best I had the entire trip in Rome. Did I mention the views??? Spectacular! Make sure you save room and visit the bar next door there too because the mixologist in the picture- is AMAZING! Def worth the time money and experience.
Be the first to ReplyThis world class restaurant does everything right.
The service was on point and masterfully coordinated. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and intimate - probably about 15 tables total. We selected the harmony tasting menu and enjoyed every part of it. I would highly recommend La Terrazza for a special dining experience.
Be the first to ReplyLost Michelin star tonightThe pressure, stress, and hard
Lost Michelin star tonightThe pressure, stress, and hard work it takes to earn and more importantly maintain 1-3 Michelin stars at a restaurant, is nothing short of extraordinary. While I appreciate, understand, and empathize with the workers of these restaurants (have worked at incredible restaurants myself and have trained with 3 star Michelin chefs), I can't begin to say how frustrating my experience tonight at La Terrazza was.First, I will tell you the food, service, presentation, and overall experience during my entire meal was incredible and I can clearly see why La Terrazza earned the Michelin star they have. I wish I had written down the name of my server at the restaurant, because he was amazing and exemplified what the service we would all expect at a restaurant that has a Michelin star. That being said, let me tell you about my experience with the host of the restaurant.I booked a dinner with my new fiance to celebrate her birthday - two incredibly exciting and joyous events wrapped into one fine dining experience. I emailed the restaurant ahead of time (communicated with Daria at the restaurant) to secure a window seat at the restaurant to enjoy and experience all that is beautiful with their absolutely incredible view of the city of Rome. When I arrived the host seated us at the back of the restaurant. When I let the host know the restaurant had graciously emailed me ahead of time and confirmed a window seat (so I could surprise my fiance on her birthday), he told me I was wrong and they were full. I let him know the restaurant emailed me and secured a window seat (with a signed letter for their cancellation policy and a credit card confirmation) in advance. He then went ahead and printed out half our email exchange and brought it to the table I was sitting at with my fiance and tried to call me a liar for saying the restaurant told me I had a window seat. I then showed him the email where the restaurant said I had a guaranteed window seat, he then turned to the second page of his print out and said ok and escorted us across the restaurant to the corner and seated us near the window. This was incredibly frustrating to have my honesty and integrity called out by the host, with partial print outs of an email exchange - like, that is so crazy. I tried to enjoy the rest of my meal (that we paid over $600 for) and then at the end, he came to my table and said, "Please pay your bill now, we have other people waiting for this table."While the food, our server, and most of the overall experience were fantastic, the host experience made me never want to eat at La Terrazza ever again. What an ungrateful jerk! Great chefs and restaurants know that it is us, the customers, that make their restaurants successful - and there should be mutual respect between us both.
