The food and service here is always great.
We went with a group of guys and all had the tasting menu. Waiters were very attentive and kept our glasses flowing all night. Would highly recommend eating here if the main Joel Robuchon is not an option.

Go eat incredible french food in the MGM? The answer is yes. The fact that this is tucked away in MGM is just astonishing, like a little hidden gem. A known gem, but hidden nonetheless. As in, there are not very well marked signs to point you in the right direction, you just have to follow your intuition. I dined here last weekend, and by dined I mean, I was whisked away on a journey of flavor, one bite at a time. We sat at the bar, which is really for those looking for dinner and a show, where you get to watch the kitchen hard at work, creating. It feels more personal, but if you want something more intimate there is always a few table options. If you aren't a fan of tasting menus, you can always go the ala carte route, but we went with the tasting menu and a wine pairing which was a delight. Our sommelier was enthusiastic and brought some options I would have never thought to try. I enjoyed the pace of the meal, so expect to dine for at least 1.5-2 hours, we might have stretched it longer because our server and the GM were so generous with his time, and talked with us. They really made our experience feel special. I can't even tell you what my favorite dish was, maybe the scallop? Maybe the potatoes with truffle? or the perfectly stuffed morel mushrooms, the bok choy? Everything Honestly though, instead of detailing everything? Just go eat for yourself, the menu is seasonal and incredible. This is the perfect place for a special occasion or just because you love a good meal. We left hungry, happy, and I will be back!

A great foodie experience if you get the chance.

The concept is really interesting, my partner and I were fascinated with being able to watch the kitchen work, the countertop seating made it less intimidating of a big dollar restaurant and the interior was dim and romantic. Although, I didn't love rubbing elbows with strangers just to pick up my fork. THIS IS A FUSION RESTAURANT. I was under the impression this place was purely french cuisine but it's french/japanese fusion. Call me a purist if you must, but I was disappointed hearing this as we sat down. The food was good, I think the handful of dishes we felt were mind blowing made everything that was less than that seem to fall flat. That's the thing about really fantastic food, the whole meal needs to stack up ! By the end we were surprised to find ourselves very full, we underestimated the portions for sure. Service was generally speaking kind and attentive. One of our waiters seemed far more interactive with other parties than us, which I was fine with. The big thing that brings my personal rating down was this: Our cost came out to around $552 for two tasting menus. This is before tip, and without any wine or extras. The party next to us dropped like $2k for (a bit too much lol) wine and their meal. Seriously, i'm shocked no one cut them off the juice! TLDR: beware the dollar signs, smaller parties get countertop seating, you'll be full by the end of the tasting menu, and drink responsibly :)

A knock out Michelin star restaurant and at a very reasonable price. Their tasting menu is a must and the flavors and pairing of their foods is outstanding. Staff is super hospitable and you'll leave very full. I loved how well they cooked every dish and presented artfully. Absolutely recommend this restaurant for a splurge dinner.

It took a while for our server to first show up. We brought two bottles of wine so they brought out wine glasses, but never asked if the table if we wanted anything else so I had to stop him to order a cocktail. Sommelier was very nice. The amuse was a savory jello shot. I don't think anyone at the table enjoyed it really. One person wouldn't try it. I had heard about the better and bread for years. The croissant roll was very good. The other breads were fine. The butter was good, but I didn't notice anything different than butters from other restaurants of this quality. The carpaccio was too oily for me. The strong oil flavor overwhelmed the fish. Others at the table enjoyed this dish, but I wasn't a fan. The tartar was very good. Clean, tight flavors. Probably the only food dish I would return for. Wagyu rib cap. This came out cold. Both mine and another person's at the table. A $145 served cold is unacceptable. The steak was good, but nothing memorable. The mushrooms served with it were very good and curiously hot. Dover sole was nice. De-boned table side which is fined, but they served one person's tenderloin steak, proceeding to de-bone three sole plates before pouring the au poivre on the dish. Mashed potatoes were served cold. Even the cast iron little pots they were served in were not hot. General manager brought out some desserts because of the cold steak. Did not bring a souffle. They were six of us and some of the desserts where the tiniest little slices of cakes that on a couple of us to eat them. I found the cocktail menu lacking variety and creativity. I asked for a spicy margarita if they could do that and the cocktail made was very good. I ordered a second but with mezcal and it also was very good. All in all I do not this the restaurant executed well enough for me to return. Possibly I'd do a cocktail and tartar at the bar, but at this price point the world if your oyster and I'd look elsewhere.

ooooooooH maaaaaaaah gaaaaawd! I know why he is a 3 Michelin star chef. The journey the meal takes you through each stage of the tasting was just impeccable. I've had Michelin star restaurants before and this is definitely top 3 in experience and taste. I really enjoyed the open kitchen was like watching a musical. I truly appreciate each cook and what their intention to detail for the part of the dish they were all in charge of. The service was flawless! The only negative feedback I have is that the last dessert dish could be left out, it didn't really tie in with the rest of the meal. Other than that, A+++
Be the first to ReplyThis place is small but cozy.
I am very impressed with their wine menu. It's like a book of encyclopedia for wine!! Very clean and classy. We sat at the bar facing the open kitchen and get to see our food being prepared, very entertaining! Our servers are very nice , kind and professional for sure!

This was one of the best meals that i've had in Vegas to date! I've been to Joël Robuchon, next door multiple times now and loved it so I figured I should try out L'Atelier. I loved the interactive chef's counter experience, it was so fun to watch the food being prepared! The service was also very friendly. Every course was simple yet delicious. The scallop course was one of my favorite scallop dishes i've had in a while. I also really loved the foie gras ravioli and the Norwegian king crab dishes. My boyfriend got the wagyu upgrade and it was so worth it, I definitely recommend upgrading if it's available even though the Australian wagyu was great. The desserts were both wonderful and the meal ended with some delicious black currant macarons.

Took my family here for a birthday as a 'cheap' way to see if it would be worth shelling out for the full Robuchon experience, appears that we saved a lot of dosh going here. Average service. Upperscale decor. Food was something I could see paying 20USD a head for, if anything was served at a temperature other than room. Ordered everyone at the table shaved black truffle with potatoes, as recommended highly by the waitstaff. Couldn't taste the truffle at all mixed in, couldn't taste the truffle at all when I had it alone. Have had truffle in other dishes since, astounding how non-existent it was. Really wanted to rate the place 2 stars, but at the price per head... how mediocre such an expensive experience was is now an in-joke with my family.

This was definitely a dinner worth making a journey all the way to Vegas for. Last time when I had visited Vegas, I had thought of coming over here but couldn't make it, this time I made sure to get reservation beforehand for our Vegas trip. The serve a seasonal 9-10 course prix fixe menu or an a la carte option. We were still quite full from our Bouchon lunch so for a relatively early dinner, so we went for a la carte option. Interesting ambience with most of the chairs around the kitchen counter, so that was amazing to see all the action right in front of you! Service was impeccable, and our server paid so much attention to us. Two of us ordered a couple of small plates and a couple of main courses. The wagyu sliders were phenomenal - indubitably the best burgers I have had! And, even the ginger gastrique was so yum to go with fries. My fiance's onion tarte was also super unique and flavorful. And, we got quail and hokkaido scallops for the main course - we shared both appetizers and main courses! And, got our own desserts haha ;) I went for souffle and we got framboise for my fiance! Both were phenomenal! And, i ended up ordering a glass of ice wine to go with the dessert! It was delicious!! Overall, definitely a great experience! Can't wait to try the flagship one sometime soon!

Date of Visit: 12/25/2023 We visited L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon on Christmas Day, 9 months after our visit to the restaurant next door, Joël Robuchon. L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon was opened by the world famous French chef,Joël Robuchon. He opened the Atelier, or work studio back in 2003 in both Tokyo and Paris, and he expanded to Las Vegas in 2005. L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon has a sleek and elegant decoration, with the combination of black dining tables and red leather high chairs. L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon was awarded with 1 Michelin Star back in 2008 and 2009, when the Michelin guide rated the restaurants in Las Vegas. There is a Grand Tasting Menu and a 4 courses Menu option, and you can also order a la carte. We decided to order a la carte to choose our favorite dishes. 2020 William Fevre Chablis Chardonnay $24 I ordered a glass of the Chardonnay from the Chablis region in France. The lemon zest and the acidic taste paired well with seafood. 2018 Nicolas Jay Pinot Noir $26 Husband got the Pinot Noir from Willamette Valley. Love the fruity note of the 2018 vintage. Bread Basket The bread basket has baguette, crispy mini croissant, and butter bread. Amuse Bouche The Amuse Bouche is apple jelly with flowers and some spices. Les Choux $31 Cauliflower with almond, grapefruit and sweet and sour vinaigrette. Love the presentation and the refreshing taste. La Langoustine $75 Langoustine fried in brick dough, basil puree and chicory salad. The crispy outer shell of the langoustine was tasty! Love the combination. 2019 Brancaia Ilatraia $39 This Italian red blend is made from 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Petit Verdot and 20% Cabernet Franc, which is smooth and well balanced. 2015 Margaux du Château Margaux $49 I ordered a glass of the Cabernet Sauvignon from Château Margaux, which was amazing! Love the structure and texture of the wine. The smokiness and cocoa was clear on the palette too. La Saint Jacque $99 I got the Hokkaido scallop seared on the plancha with rice, caviar lime and uni buerre blanc. Scallops paired well with the finger lime and the buttery uni sauce. La Caille $65 Husband got the caramelized quail filled with foie gras. On the side there is the Robuchon style of potato puree, which is super creamy and smooth. Anniversary Tarts Dessert Love the complimentary tarts, from left to right there is snickers chocolate tart, pear tart and chocolate crepe tart. Le Soufflé $20 We ordered the espresso souffle with a scoop of Bailey ice cream. The souffle is a bit on the wet side. Prefer the puffy taste more. Passionfruit Mango Macaron The last dessert is the passionfruit mango macaron, which is crispy on the outer shell and soft inside.
Be the first to ReplyThe concept is different.
They focus on the dinner being interactive so if you're a party of two, they will seat you at the bar where you can see what happens behind the scenes. I didn't want a stuffy dinner that would take three hours. This was a nice way to try Joel Robuchon food, without all the fluff. Service was excellent. No complaints there. I would say in general the food was delicious, but each dish was always missing a little something. Like one could be more sour or some could be more sweet. The only thing I think was absolutely perfect was the lobster dish and the quail. The quail is AMAZING!! Get it!Presentation is excellent. So for the gram. For dessert they gave us a plate of sweet treats for our anniversary. I loved the pistachio raspberry dessert. Best combo ever!
Be the first to ReplyThis is our second time having dinner at L'Atelier.
First time was fabulous. Unlike other chef /kitchen counter top seating, restaurants, no one but the waiters talked to us. I had so many questions about food making process and their mashed potato , but alas, the waiter doesn't know much about the cooking process. It would have been nice to have someone from the kitchen stop by and see if we had any questions! The GM of this restaurant is French. If you are not French, you are totally ignored the entire meal. Yes. I felt very much ignored as the GM lavished three different conversations with the couple sitting next to us in French. When I took the time to find the GM at the front after our meal, he looked extremely bored and stand -off- ish as he answered my questions. Food was very good. Waiter service was very good. GM Service and particularly the ambiance was NOT good at all.

Quick tip: when you read some reviews of L'Atelier, be aware that some reviewers are actually talking about Joel Robuchon, which is next door, and vice versa. We've eaten at both, and both are excellent, but very different experiences. So this is about L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon. You need to walk through the smoky MGM Grand casino to get there. We were greeted by 2 lovely hostesses and were seated at the kitchen counter as were the majority of the patrons. This is the main concept of the restaurant, being seated around the open kitchen with other patrons as each of your dishes is being prepared. I loved the look and feel of the whole place, with a predominantly black color scheme with accents of red throughout (chairs, fresh red roses, bread basket, hostesses dresses, even the wallpaper of their computer screens were roses). Somehow magically even with the black palette it didn't feel dark. Our server and servers were all wonderful. We opted for their signature discovery tasting menu, about 8 or 9 courses from my memory. All were perfect tasting portions and as a whole not heavy at all, unlike our experience at Joel Robuchon next door (it's not a criticism). Kudos to our main server for stressing that our tasting menu would be somewhat lighter than we would have expected. Every bite was good. Imaginative but very approachable. Highlights for me were the oysters, the scallop in quinoa puff topped with grapefruit and orange medley, the uni and hamachi which had clean flavors. You had a choice of entree, I had the lamb and my wife had the foie gras stuffed quail. All very good. As each dish was served the server gave detailed descriptions of each. I had a glass of 2018 Jordan cabernet instead of the wine pairing.Service was wonderful.

If you're a true foodie who appreciates the art of impeccable cuisine, this is a unique experience that you will never forget! We sat at the bar where you can observe the entire process. Think sushi bar with your own sommelier. It's more of a fun atmosphere than a staunchly dark booth kinda place. The server presents every course in detail, and the wine is paired perfectly. I highly recommend going all out and ordering the pairing. GO BIG! The food was orgasmic, like roll your eyes into the back of your head fantastic! If your a lightweight like me, don't drink before doing this wine pairing. The pours are 3-4 ounces each, so you're pretty lubed up by dessert. If you're into spending a G on dinner for that special night with your partner, this is the place to do it. Best dinner of my life!
Be the first to ReplyValentines Day Dinner was exceptional when dining at this
Valentines Day Dinner was exceptional when dining at this beautiful restaurant on the strip. Made a reservation through their direct website ahead of time as this restaurant does get filled pretty quickly. This is also a Michelin 1 star restaurant by Chef Joel Robuchon. They have three options to dine here at the restaurant. The first one is their tasting menu that's about 205 per person. You can also opt for this selection with wine paring. The second option is "make your own menu" which entails a 4 course meal. This include your selection of two appetizers, one main entree and one dessert. The portion in the second option is slightly larger. The third option is the a la. carte menu. You can basically choose any dishes on the menu. We opted for the second option as we wanted a larger portion. The restaurant started out our meal with two complimentary beet juice served with some leafy green vegetables. It was new and definitely unique in their taste. They also served us complimentary bread that came with three different bread selections. Now time for the appetizers, we got the seared yellow tail, cod with caviar, mush room soup and Spanish octopus. The appetizers were so good and the raw fish was so fresh. All selections were astonishing. For The main entrees we got the roasted quail and truffle mush room soup. Most of the dishes here had an elevated French cuisines taste to it. The only comment I would make is to probably go a little lighter on the salt, other than that everything else was delicious. The dessert presentation was def my favorite. I got the raspberry cream ball that was served with a creamy sauce that melted as soon as the server poured the sauce over the dessert Overall my expectation of this restaurant was met and the place left a wonderful and fulfilling experience on our Valentines Day Dinner.

I've been to several Michelin star rated/ James beard award winning restaurants and I can say this restaurant has definitely fit the bill in regards to food. Everything we tasted was delicious, and the wine pairings were spot on. The service was good, everyone was attentive as well as informative. We learned not only what was in the food but we got mini history lessons on the wines that were being paired. If I had only one gripe with this restaurant, it would be the seating and ambience. We were seated in a tight corner at the very front of the restaurant. We were not able to actually see the rest of the restaurant and experience the ambience. For the price of dining, I think the seating should be more strategically placed. It's more than just tasting the food and having wine to wash it down, the ambience lends the the experience as a whole. With that being said, I'd still recommend this establishment as a place to have fantastic food and wine!

Did the course menu and they were all great! Polite and attentive staff. The atmosphere was great too, a little noisy due to open kitchen, but it's fine. The only negative would be that I ordered numerous drinks..and I asked if they can turn the non alcoholic drink into an alcoholic one since I like the ingredients. Non alcoholic drinks are relatively cheap, but they charged me $20 to add a shot on top of the original price..so it became $40 whereas normal cocktails are around $20. This act was a petty move considering it's a Michelin. Other than that, everything checks out, but would I go again? Absolutely not. I'm not sure how it's a Michelin restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyIncredible restaurant.
...! I loved the more casual atmosphere while having a true fine dinning experience, sooooo MUCH FUN. Felt like a ***Michelin Restaurant Food without all the fuss... Make sure to come hungry, if you choose the tasting menu it's a lot of food. I did find the desert underwhelming, would look for improvement on this, my only criticism of the night. The service was on point, so on top of it, never was waiting, everything was seamless. Having direct access to the sommelier was great, he was full of recommendations. Rare and fun to see how the som made sure all patrons were taken care of, he also opened my eyes regarding some pairings I would not have normally considered... Cannot wait to come back to L'Atelier in the near future, no question it was one of the more memorable meals I have ever had... Nice work!

We dined there on 1/21/23 and the experience was outstanding. We chose to dine from the seasonal discovery menu which has 9 courses plus an Amuse Bouche. The variety of vegatables, meats, sauces and presentation was not only a feast for the mouth but to the eyes. Of course of all the food presented there was outstanding service. We liked that the servers worked as a team and took care of promptly clearing plates & flatware, setting new place settings, pouring water and checking with us regarding our food and answering questions. The price of the meal was on the high side as compared to other high-end restaurants we've dined at recently in Las Vegas. But the price can be justified by the quality of ingredients along with ample use of gourmet items such as caviar, truffles, and foie gras. We also liked watching the various chefs and line cooks prepare the meals.
