He let us down. we will not return
The local menu has nothing to do with the one they have on the WEB We ordered some pan-fried clams (on the menu) but... they didn't have them. We ordered rice with seafood and lobster (on the menu) but... they didn't have We ended up having some cockles (regular) and rice with sea bass and striped shrimp. Delicious, but with the minimum of sea bass and one shrimp per person. Of course, the service was very good and they had the detail of inviting us to desserts.

The federation of sea bass and shrimp, spectacular. The squid starter is also very good. Excellent service. I didn't like the place, very dark, although the chairs were comfortable.
Be the first to ReplyGood Rice
Good cuisine with culinary preparation made on the stove. Carefully prepared, tasty rice dishes achieve authentic creativity. Professional and formal team without frivolities and impeccably served. Rice in all its variants will make us enjoy a few seconds of haute cuisine. Perfect preparation thousand leaves with cream. Essential cava and wine menu tailored to suit all diners. Just a negative note, given the rush to request payment of the bill to relocate other diners at 3:35 p.m., we had a reserved table at 2:30 p.m., so, in the end; It left an unwanted and unexpected sensation.

meat paella (rabbit, chicken, morcilla) number one.....for me the best ever. Excellent alvarigno. Postre a bit poor. Sophisticated environment. Not popular prices. Overall: I would stay here again
Be the first to ReplyBest place for paella in Valencia
Impeccable service. Delicious tuna shoulder and calamus and the best paella of our life in an elegant setting. Correct prices
Be the first to ReplyContradictory experience
The quality of the food is excellent, but the customer service is regrettable. They treated us as if we were idiots and allowed themselves the license to advise us on how we should behave in life... Likewise, the smell of the establishment has an aroma of fecal water that should be resolved. And finally, the access door to the premises opens inwards, which is surely outside of all municipal regulations. Contradictory experience!!!
Be the first to ReplyRice, arrogant
The arrogance of the service prevents it from giving it a higher score. The rice was good, but the service was intrusive, arrogant and rude. The expensive price.

Good cuisine, expensive price. Arrogant service. Evil smell of pipes. Access door that does not comply with security regulations

One of the biggest jokes in the posh places of Valencia. “Ditet” paellas (yes) with very few escandallos per person (I doubt they reach 60 grams of rice per person). The wait staff is unprofessional and, worst of all, they give off that elitist whiff of “depending on who you are….” They make you one suit or another. The rice is good (that's why I give it a 2**) but the quality-price ratio is very poor. You have at least 20 best places in Valencia to eat good rice in a good room without having to endure this place.
Be the first to ReplyOK paella, mediocre (for the price) experience.
We had Lavoe recommended as a good paella restaurant in the home of paella. Reservations had been made for us by our host. Unfortunately the reservations were not available when we arrived on time, as there had been some confusion, the source of which we never resolved. Our host had asked us to ask for Toni, who was not on site at the time. However, after a short but discomforting wait, a 4 top was cleared for us and we were seated, even though a more desirable two was available (and remained so for at least another 1/2 hour). But, once seated, things moved along much better. Wine selections were good, and we ordered. Appetizers were explained well by our waiter, and we were assisted in our paella choice by the waiter. Other reviews had commented on the saltiness of the paella ( the squid appetizer was good, BTW), but we found it to our taste. The seafood was skimpy, but paella is a rice dish. However, no socarrat. While the rice tasted OK ( again, it was on the saltier side), there was no detectable saffron flavor in the sofrito base. All in all an OK experience, though if a restaurant’s pricing is based in any degree on its sophistication and ambiance, which Lavoe’s clearly is (just check out the menu pricing) then it should have its act together from their first customer contact. Note: my wife pointed out a number of fingerprints on the wine glasses just set on the table next to us. To their credit the waiters cleared them and reset with clean glasses. If you go to Lavoe, be prepared to spend above average for food and drink, so ensure your experience lives up to the pricing.
