Decidedly average
This place has a lovely location and we booked well in advance to try and secure an outside table. They don’t guarantee tables outside which is absolutely fine, we arrived early and despite asking to be seated outside and there being a considerable number of tables free outside we were told this wasn’t possible. Considering you can’t book those tables and several remained free for our entire stay, I can only imagine they keep them back for customers of their choosing. Again this is totally fine if they were just upfront about this, as to be honest the only reason to go is for the view. The food is fine, staff were nice but it’s pretty expensive for what it is and the food worse than other places in town. If you’re booking in the hope of eating outside I wouldn’t bother and try somewhere else instead.
Be the first to ReplyVery Judgmental Hostess (faking as a manager)
This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had and I didn’t even get to have dinner. The hostess on contact decided rather than to ask me what party I was with, selected a random group of people he thought were ‘’my type of people’ and went to seat me with them. I was applauded and embarrassed. Terrible and I won’t be supporting this establishment ever again.
Be the first to ReplyTasteless expensive and pretentious
We were terribly disappointed. The food, aside from the dessert, was tasteless, especially, the mussels dish and very overpriced. A very pretentious restaurant. Go elsewhere. The wine list was outrageously expensive. One in our group is a chef, two are visiting from London and I had hoped to treat them bc to a delicious meal. I’d be happy to spend whatever it cost for a fine meal but we all agreed this was one of the least enjoyable meals we’ve had in a very long time.
Be the first to ReplyPerfect Hampton’s spot.
Fantastic setting against the super yachts in The Hampton’s. My firm favorite is Tuna Tartare and Cajun Chicken. Staff always very pleasant and helpful never rushed so you can enjoy your dining experience. Good Job.
Be the first to ReplyWorst experience in 20 years that I am in the Hamptons
The whole place is a disaster and they made people with reservations stand outside in a severe thunderstorm to check in and the host just stands there yelling at people to stay in line They allow too many of their friends in and it becomes a fire hazard . The staff doesn’t know what they are doing and they don’t honor reservations . Last but certainly not least the food is awful …. Avoid this overpriced place at all costs
Be the first to ReplyOverpriced but food pretty good location and restaurant pretty
The place is pretty & food not bad. Staff was a little snooty & not the friendliest. Should be reminded that they are in the customer service industry. Just a tad too rude for a place that is this expensive. At least offer kind service.
Be the first to ReplyWorst food ever
Had a good experience there a year ago, so we made the 80 mile trip out east on EASTER SUNDAY. Before we could speak, told "the meal is prix fixe". No problem, this happens on holidays. Of note, it was 3:15pm. Told that the kitchen was closed at 3 even though we were seated well after. The menu was limited, with my only choice being some egg dish. My husband had the much talked up "poulet cajun", nothing more than dry pieces of chicken sprinkled with cajun seasoning. Oh and some obercooked fries. Yes. They managed to screw up froes. Since I do not eat meat or chicken and I am deathly allergic to shrimp, I asked to have the egg dish cooked all the way through due to health issues. This is after the nice young server asked the chef if I could be accommodated. I was not and neither was the ghastly poached egg dish cooked through. I attempted to quell hunger by asking for bread. Fast forward to $360 later for the worst meal ever, which included paying for said bread basket eaten due to hunger and the unpalatable food, we have learned a hard lesson. Just because there was one ok experience does not mean it will recut. But it is a hard lesson to learn.

We had such a great time at le Bilboquet! You can find a little part of France in Sag Harbor. The food is amazing. We will come back!
Be the first to ReplyListed as American I would say with French twist
Very comfortable Enviornment with cozy fireplace. Service was attentive, menu varied, ample portions enough to split portions. Endive salad was a disappointment . Amongst the choices we had mussels as well as Cajun chicken, both good choices.
Be the first to ReplyWhat a vibe!
Super fun scene and ambiance. Service was lovely and extremely attentive. The food was gorgeous and tasted as good as it looked. Loved the music and the overall vibe. A place to check out all the beautiful people with an outside view to match.
Be the first to ReplyGreat atmosphere
Hopping scene - loved the outside. Staff was nice and we were seated right away. Food was okay. Not amazing. Didn’t love the bread. I liked the atmosphere more than I liked the food.
Be the first to ReplyTerrible
From the beginning to end it was horrible. The tall male host reprimanded us to the waiter staff who bamboozled is by asking our drink order prior to having a menu to being informed as far as wine by the glass prices. Without our knowledge we ordered a $36 glass of rose. Then they asked us flat or sparkinlung water not giving us option of tap.. as soon as they poured Evian flat, we took one sip and then cracked open second bottle without our consent. Then they dropped a basket of bread onto our table again without our consent (it is $6.00)… Cajun chicken sucked… they failed to express that the catch of the day was $90 which k was the sole.. they tried from start to finish Rob us of money.. rude staff. Mediocre food at best.. terrible experience-I’d never ever go back
Be the first to ReplyGreat lunch with amazing views
Fantastic place ! Actually my new favorite ! Lunch was so tasty the Cajun chicken was hard to beat. Pink Champagne delicious. I actually booked for the week after for my birthday with 8 friends and we had a lovely evening. My only disappointment was they had ran out of the Rhubarb Crumble ! Would highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplySerious concern about this place.
BILBOQUET, didn’t pay the real estate commission to the broker who helped them found a place in Sag Harbor and did all the work. Bad Karma. Shame on you BILBOQUET!!
Be the first to ReplyEXCELLENT
Beautiful place!! we were here for a friends 50th birthday. I tried the Cajun chicken for dinner which was recommended by someone and it didnt dissapoint. The service was excellent as well. Looking forward to the next time.
Be the first to ReplySurroundings.....wonderful. Food...not anywhere as nice
Beautiful rooms, beautiful people, beautiful surroundings. If these things mean something to you, then this place is okay. Service was top-notch. The food....meh. So, if you are going out to sit in a wonderful surrounding and don't care as much about the food, this place is for you. It was as underwhelming of a foodie experience as I have experienced in a long time.

We walked out after an encounter with the male "hostess"
He claimed our friend had on a bathing suit, which he did not, and would not let us in. After some argument he changed his mind and said ok, but we decided we did not want to stay with an attitude like that, he walked away saying "thanks for wasting my time ".
I don't know how they stay in business! We will never step in that doorway again.

Food was OK but the staff was not accesible to change options from fixed menu (very few options by the way and not for vegetarians)
We were a big party and we didnt had an option to choose frome the regular menu.
Extremely expensive for my taste.
The worst place in the Hamptons
Initially we reserved a table for 10 people and nobody told us that for a reservation of 8 or more people it’s a fixed menu.
The menu had 3 options appetizers and 3 options entres. We could only choose from that small menu with few options.
At the end they charged double (from the regular prices from the dishes) per person !!!
It was 150 dlls per person instead of 75. Terrible !!!! I will never return back.
I spoke to the person in charge and he couldn’t even respond politely.
They feel that they are in St Tropez, with a poor service.
Never going back !!!
Avoid at all cost!
Really bad experience! Avoid at all cost! The food is mediocre. All our food was on top of that served lukewarm/cold we had to ask twice for napkins (which were missing at the table) and twice for bread. When I sent back my dish and complained nothing was done about it; even after notifying management. They did apologize saying they were understaffed. It’s absolutely shameful that people are allowed to run a place like this and know it will be full next evening anyway. Very uninteresting wine list!
Be the first to ReplyGood spot for the elderly
This place is good if you're a little older as their crowd is typically very old people trying to prove they're still hip. The menu is basically the same as in the city, the Cajun chicken is a great and classic dish. But if you're younger than 65 this place probably isnt for you. Any young people eating there are either with their parents or on a date with someone's dad. Good food but definitely an older vibe.
Be the first to ReplyRude to everyone
The staff here could not be more rude. The entire experience was awful. Having split time between NYC and Sagaponack for 30 years, I have never encountered service and attitude this bad. We eat out all the time and this place is without question takes the cake for making diners feel like second class citizens. We had a 6pm reservation on a Sunday night in September 2020. The restaurant was absolutely empty and remained that was still like that at 9pm when we left. Despite this we were ignored when we arrived, given an awful table. When we asked if any of the empty tables on the main deck were available we got eye rolls and attitude. "We have 150 people arriving at 6:30pm, and another 150 coming at 8pm. We have no flexibility at all." Who writes this script for the staff. The restaurant was empty, the staff was rude and on top of this it is the food is sub-par and exorbitantly expensive. I don't mind spending $200 a person on dinner if the food and experience are worth it. Every summer, I remind myself not to come here and every year, I stupidly try it once. This is the absolutely the last time I pay this restaurant $500 to insult me.
