Sparkman wharf
Took the pirate water taxi to sparkman wharf for dinner and had a great time. Lots of options for food and fun for parents with a 2yr old.
Be the first to ReplyEnough options to please everyone.
If youโre looking for somewhere to go in Tampa definitely give it a try. Shared areas are clean and well kept - you can just chill and enjoy the view with a beer. Loads of food options and great if thereโs a group of you as everyone can grab something from a different outlet so everyone is happy. Live music also really good

We remember it when it was Channel Side, with a similar concept. Now there is more open space, with seating where you can enjoy the views of the harbor. The โShipping Containersโ that house many of the food vendors give it an industrial feel.
Be the first to ReplyBEST hot dogs ever!!
We went to JoDogg hot dogs. Iโve been on the earth for a while and I kid you not this was the BEAT hot dog Iโve ever had. They have many topping combinations to choose from, but I kept it simple. The hot dog was so flavorful, juicy and none of those โnasty bitsโ that sometimes you come across.

Stopped to eat and check out the view. Numerous places to choose from to eat or grab something to drink. Could use more seating by the water.
Be the first to ReplyNice area with lots of bars, restaurants, entertainment
This is a nice area with lots of bars, restaurants, entertainment. It is close to the free streetcar route and is on the water.
Be the first to ReplyGreat place for group of friends or family
They had a ton of food options. me and my friends went and we all wanted something different so it was perfect for us to eat what we wanted and be able to sit on the water. also great vegan options
Be the first to ReplyGREAT AREA TO VISIT1
Beautiful area! Great for families or couples. Went at a time when it wasn't the best occasion, but this are was a welcome distraction.
Be the first to ReplyRefreshing after a nice walk
Stopped in after a morning on the river walk. There's a lot of food port containers with a variety of cuisine. We had a Coffee almond butter smoothie and a lychee jelly bubble tea from two different vendors. There is ample sitting areas with a nice view and umbrellas for shade. Public rest rooms as well. Would be a cool area at night with the live music stage.
Be the first to ReplyGreat options and water views
Cool place to hang out. Lots of people of all ages enjoying the various food and shopping places. Right on the water so depending on where you are great views as well.
Be the first to ReplyNot a Friendly Spot
I had the opportunity to visit the Sparkman Wharf recently. Because of the location near the Port and Amalie, the parking is limited, There is one small lot that has a pay box of sorts, but I was told it was not functioning and you were advised to load an app, I parked nearby and walked down with my lunch When I arrived I found the "live music" was just music over the PA. I'm not sure if there was a DJ involved. I sat down and within a couple of mins, a security guard came over and told me that outside food was not allowed and it would have to go. Looking to my right about 10 yards I saw a mom doling out snack packs to her kids. Nothing was said to her. I put my lunch sack away in my shopping bag and proceeded to check the messages on my phone. Within 5 mins the security guard returned with a second security guard in tow. He told me that if I did not leave immediately he would call the police and they would trespass me. I simply left immediately without a word. Being new to the area, this was an uninspiring visit. I expect there are likely better ways to arrive there, but I am not sure there is a better experience. I would look for other options.
Be the first to ReplyPerfect for afternoon of fun, food and drinks
Looking for a place to get some eats, beer and perhaps bowl? Go to the Wharf! Itโs like a food truck facility (but theyโre permanent) with a Bier Garden in the middle. Plenty of seating and side areas to get A/C and drinks out of the hot sun. Large turf lawn, restrooms and plenty to do/see for a few hours or less in Tampa! Go!
Be the first to ReplyWorth checkin it out.
Was on my list of places to check out in Tampa. Do not think youโre spending more than a few hrs here though. I thought I read on a review there were shops but all there is are food vendors. The two actual restaurants didnโt open till 4 so check the hrs. All the food vendors are in those shipping containers so itโs got a cool vibe to the area. Walking through them on the other side is a large bar area with a good selection of local craft beers and full bar for the non beer peeps. Pricey though and beers are 12 oz pours no pints. They also have a large area with tables and even outdoor couches with umbrellas for some chill time or to eat you food. Itโs also right along the water so thats cool. Do not expect a breeze though as youโre inshore enough for that to be no where. It was 85 and you felt all of that. At night they had a big viewing party here for the Tampa Bay Lighting as they were in the playoffs. Sadly they got whooped last night 0-5. Oh and we didnโt get BBQ here but they have but a local said not to get it as TB BBQ is not very good. We hit the 1st container that had fried chicken and both our sandwiches were amazing.
Be the first to ReplyAwesome downtown spot on the water
If youโre visiting Tampa and looking for a spot to eat and hangout downtown or by the water/river walk, this is the spot. Awesome selection of food trucks, brews, and location is top notch. Very close to the start of the Tampa river walk, so park nearby, grab some food and drink and hit the river walk, great way to spend a few hours in Tampa. Definetely stop by here is visiting the area.
Be the first to ReplyBest place to go downtown
Fun destination on a sunny day. Lots of family style outdoor seating in a common area surrounded by restaurants, a central bar, and food truck style containers used for street food. Parking in nearby parking decks. A great day out with young children.
