I don't do omakases often but what of the reasons this one was so enjoyable was the excellent service. Chef Keiji is so personable. It was such an intimate experience but didn't feel stuffy which at times it can be. The dishes all stood on their own and were unique loved hearing stories about some of the ingredients from his home town. Wonderful play on flavors and textures. We had the spring menu this past Tuesday. Was enthralled with hearing the details of each dish. Appreciated simple suggestions like making sure to chew the sea cucumber slowly and experience the change in flavor. Two of our group got the sake tasting two of us got it by the glass and one had tea. Generous pours on the sake and tea was free which was refreshing to see now days. Some favorites of the evening were the Noresore (Young Sea Eel) with housemade Ponzu. And Kasugodai (Baby Seabream) with Kimizu (Egg Vinegar sauce, but powdered). Such an enjoyable evening with friends, memorable meal and experience.
