I loved my meal at Izakaya Han! My best friend and I
I loved my meal at Izakaya Han! My best friend and I stopped by for sushi on our trip to Madrid. I'd recommend the temaki rolls for the best bang for your buck. The server gave us the best pumpkin soup to start and it was delish!! The service was also very good, especially relative to the other service we received on our trip to Spain. If I'm back in Madrid I'll definitely come back!

My friends and I have been craving spicy/Asian food since coming to Madrid and so we were lured in here from the menu outside the store. Happy to say our cravings were satisfied!! I got the vegetable noodles and my friends had spicy tuna rolls and bibimbap and we all left super happy! Also the servers were very friendly and were patient with our bad Spanish and the decor was very pretty and calming. Worth checking out if you're in the area!

Delicious sushi and great service. Love the Spirited Away art around the walls and bathrooms too, it's really a cute touch. Be sure to try the tempura. Absolutely amazing batter, with just a hint of sweetness. I've been to Japan several times, and honestly thought this was the best tempura I've had. Good stuff. Bimbimbap is good too!

My family and I came here for dinner and we had several Korean dishes and they are very delicious. I liked the food here so much, I came back with my colleagues the very next day for the team dinner and everyone seemed to be happy with their sushi and a few other Korean dishes I ordered for them. The waitresses were very knowledgeable and the overall ambience is pleasant

Food and service is fantastic! Authentic Japanese with a twist! The sushi is fresh and dishes are flavorful. A definite go to for travelers wanting a break from tapas.

Yep, I dined alone here (business traveler on a Sat! I think I have friends? Don't worry about me!). I am not sure if I ordered the wrong things or I was semi-depressed from eating alone. The eel maki roll was nothing fantastic and I definitely caught them off guard with my kimchi jeage order. The kimchi wasn't flavorful so the soup was very bland. Restaurant was cute and service was good. I took a picture of the bathroom because the wall was that cute!
Be the first to ReplyThe sushi is fine.
It's ranked so highly that I had to try it but ended up not being very impressed. The atmosphere is cool and the restaurant is really pretty but the food is just okay. My mom also went here with her friends while visiting and got sick after. She enjoyed her experience but was not happy afterwards. Overall I would not go back as the experience was just fine and I think there is better food in Madrid.

The sushi is average; the atmosphere is very hide-away romantic little place. Very nice wait staff but they didn't seem to know the Japanese names of dishes. The a la cart sushi was WAY too expensive... average 6-8 Euros per order for plain dishes... and no fancy items like uni or mirigai. Hand rolls are the way to go, two for a decent price, and definitely order set sushi.

This place is all around very good! We were looking for a sushi restaurant in Madrid and glad we picked this one. The environment is very quiet and a nice change from many louder bars/restaurants we've been to in Madrid. We ordered a seaweed salad, which was delicious, and some edamame to start off. We then ordered a mixed sushi/maki plate and some vegetable noodles, which were both quite tasty. The service was very good, but my only complaint is everything is on the pricier side. The rolls are all around 13-15 euros, which is a bit more than I'm accustomed to in the Bay Area. Definitely recommend to everyone! Just be ready to spend a decent amount.

I recently went back to Izakaya Han for lunch and did not get the set bento box lunch menu. I had quite a few rolls (standout was the Ebi) and a sashimi variado which was fantastic (butter fish was soooo good!). For 2 of us we paid 65 euros which included 16 pieces sashimi, gyoza which was super fresh and light, and 2 very large rolls- rainbow roll and the ebi, and 2 glasses of wine and one japanese beer. I was really pleased with my meal and we plan on going back this evening. So maybe if you are hungry and wanting something a bit more substantial than the bento lunch box, try straight off the menu a la carte. Glad I went back and tried it again!
