Delicious!! Had stuffed mushrooms, chicken piccata and lasagna. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. A repeat hit, with many more to come!

I've been here once before, but can't remember what my opinion was then. This time, very very satisfied. I had a rack of lamb. A lot of meat and spoon- tender. And the pink cooking I ordered was exactly what I got. Great sauce and good pasta. I do recommend this choice. My friends had meatballs, lasagne and chicken picata. Now, I knew the owners knew my friends who go there regularly. Still their friendlyness and handling of the whole two hour meal was flawless. From the starters with caesars salad, snails through to the cheesecake and tiramisu. So complaints? No, not really. Fairly priced too. And being an Italian restaurant you have to accept either Peroni or Stella Artois. I would of course like a wide selection.

Generous portions of homemade Italian food made our day. A return trip is already planned. We both have lunch for tomorrow the prices are very reasonable. Gnocchi with meat sauce, chicken parmigiana, a house salad and amazing broccoli were today’s choice. I think Lasagna may be my choice next time. Check their hours before you go. And please, please do not tell too many people.

The food here is always great, but if you haven't tried the salmon you are missing out on some of the best salmon in DFW. Large pieces, simply prepared and cooked to perfection.

Haven't updated my thoughts on Mac's in more than a year, but today's meal demanded a comment. As is my habit, bad news first. It seems there has been a leadership change, that has adversely affected service to a degree, and it showed on this visit. Still, some of our group are semi-regulars who act as if they own the place at times. Familiarity can breed contempt, and the staff definitely showed a bit of, "Oh, it's just them" attitude. With that said, the food today was better than usual if everyone's responses to it were genuine.
I ordered the Eggplant parm, one of my favorite meatless dishes, and I could not remember the last time I ordered it at this place. It was a great choice and some of the best I've eaten in months. My wife had the Chicken parm and had the same response.
This is not a fancy place, and the service can be a bit laid back. Still, they produce some great food, in my opinion, and the loss of the manager has not affected the kitchen.

Marco is gone! Marco’s New Jersey charm turned this into a 5 star hidden gem. The owner Zeke, has substituted abrasiveness on condescension for the Marco charm. If your order is wrong, he’ll argue. Food is still good, and though I live close and used to go here often, I just won’t tolerate rudeness. Fortuna Italian on Camp Bowie is small charming five star alternative,

Nice place for a quiet dinner. We have gone here several times and enjoy it very much. Great food...and the menu is exceptional. Waitstaff is friendly and caring. Reasonable prices...I love the location.
Be the first to ReplyPink cream sauce is delicious. Great for takeout!
We live nearby and recently ordered takeout. The stuffed mushrooms in pink cream sauce were "to die for" and the two entrees - spinach stuffed spinach ravioli in cream sauce and the sausage & peppers penne with mushrooms - were also excellent. We'll be adding this to our regular rotation.

While on a business trip to Forth Worth the wife of one of my colleagues searched for "best Italian restaurant in Fort Worth." Macaluso's was at the top of the list. The list was spot on.
Tucked away in a nondescript small strip mall in a residential section of the city, Macaluso's certainly is not on the "tourist trail!" But the friendly family atmosphere and personal attention of the serving staff, combined with outstanding cuisine made this one of our new go-to restaurants.
The decor is fairly nondescript, not too plain, comfortable but not elegant. With a TV over the bar, which is open to the dining room, you clearly don't come here for the ambience--you come for the food. Period!
Excellent food-could have served self and would have been faster
Curb appeal nice-secluded. 3 of us quickly seated. Total floor staff viewed 4. Full bar. Drafty once seated. Low lit which was fine. Some of staff seemed to greet some patrons like they were regulars. I was a virgin. No attention for 5+ minutes then drink orders taken. Other tables served well before ours. Staff seemed stretched thin for coverage-or maybe our server was the only one that way. Waiter circled back for order-we felt rushed to get things in to kitchen so order calamari and then then the 3 pasta dishes. Drinks were not filled in timely manner throughout dinner-to point where we needed to obnoxiously request waiter's attention. Calamari not bad. All main dishes were very tasty. My garlic laden dish with pasta, broccoli and chicken begged me to try this at home. Very good. Chicken piccata and another chicken/pasta dish with sundried tomato was also good. I did like the price point here given food quality. I am anal on at least being recognized upon being seated-we were on an "island" and it took some time. If I were to return, I would be much more proactive on service level.

I️t was a splendid Friday night, my party arrived at Macaluso’s “Italian” restaurant. After waiting 15 minutes to be seated at an empty restaurant we sat down and ordered off a sparse menu. We received our meal and dug in. I️ wouldn’t be surprised if our meat sauce was horse. Absolutely unmemorable meal. We then waited upwards of an hour for service and had to get up and demand a check. I️ would recommend avoiding this dump if you want to retain the function of your taste buds. There’s a reason we drove past this restaurant multiple times thinking we had arrived at a trailer park. This restaurant is a heavy nay.

My husband and I have searched Fort Worth over the past 1-1/2 years for a great Italian restaurant with authentic Italian food, moderate prices, warm and cozy atmosphere, and good service. At last, we ventured upon Macaluso's quite by accident this week and have suspended all future searches! I had the veal parmigiana with a side of penne pasta with vodka sauce. Delicious! My husband ordered the pasta with a sweet Italian sausage and peppers. Probably the best we have ever tasted. Great service and a relaxing view of trees beyond the back windows. We noticed that our waiter knew returning customers - and even knew their usual orders. Obviously, Macaluso's has loyal diners! We shall count ourselves among them from now on.

On the upside this is a neat place in a strip mall, but you are pleasantly surprised when you enter. Nice decor and lots of windows provide a warm inviting atmosphere. The help was very pleasant and the service was excellent, you feel a "but" coming? But, the food was only so so. I dined on the lasagna which was mostly tasteless. My companion had the Lobster ravioli which she said was very poor with a "rubbery" texture. It was such a neat place in a neighborhood I was really hoping this be be a go to place, but alas, not to be. Too bad.
