Maria's Restaurant and Beach, Algarve Almancil Reviews
Lovely beach restaurant
Maria’s is a lovely setting and ambience and we have been coming for many years and our lunch yesterday did not disappoint. The service was friendly and the food whilst not fine dining is pretty good for a beach restaurant. As usual we really enjoy
Lovely meal great service
Great meal, attentive service. Visited on a Tuesday night and very busy. There was a few rowdy drunk youngsters but staff managed them and kept a lid on their behaviour.Have been coming here for a few years. Excellent food and very good waiter. Have
Beautiful setting but poor service and quality of food.
The place came recommended by friends. Location hotshot with beautiful setting. We booked a table in advance. When we arrived we were told that our table would be upstairs. The sun was just setting so it was bit chilly there was some dance music play
Absolutely shocking
We went last Monday evening recommended by friends that live in the area. Table was booked for 9pm we were seated straight away. 15 minutes later we had to ask for some water. 35 minutes later we were still waiting to evan be given a menu ! Starters,
Poor service and poor food
The location is great By the sea It is busy and looks great Unfortunately the food was not good Expensive and poorly prepared We were charged for bread 19 Euros which was not even delivered to our table The wine was charged more than the advert
An Absolute Miss! Don’t waste your money and dignity!
WOW! What a truly disgusting customer experience! We pre booked at least 1 month in advance for lunch as a family of 10. All adults, not that this is of any relevance. We arrived and from the get go we had to repeatedly ask for drinks and bread etc.
High standard of food / poor service
Vinted Marias mid week, busy restaurant, food was very good but unfortunately the service was of poor standard. Sat outside, view was lovely but service just didn’t match the food or the view, what a pity.
Really poor food and service
We’ve been to Maria’s many times before and I know it’s busy in August. But the food and service were the worst we’ve ever experienced, truly shocking. Two hour wait to receive a luke warm main course is not acceptable.
Sad demise of a favourite restaurant.
One of the worst meals I’ve had in Portugal accompanied by poor, and at times insolent service. Its not the Maria’s of old. Avoid.
Really poor food
Really poor, overpriced food. The worst and most expensive food we ate during our 3 weeks in Portugal. There are far better options available in the area.
Ban kids under 13 past 9pm for the love of god
This bar was absolute chaos. Expect about 5-10 under 10 year old children crying in the bar being forced to distract themselves with iPads and iPhones or try to sleep in booming (fun) music while drunk men party next to them. It’s not the bars faul
