Lovely staff, food and atmosphere
What a lovely place! Absolutely impressed with everything - the staff were so lovely and happy, the food choice and taste was superb and the atmosphere was perfect. We're a family of four and we found the menu to be great variety allowing the children to try med dishes outside of the usual yellow kids offerings. There were couples here, families, friends, it really felt like Megan's have captured an environment that makes it comfortable for everyone. I recommend the shaksuka and the lamb kebab!

I visited this restaurant twice so far at different weekdays and different times and had a very good experience every time. The food was delicious and well presented, everything that we ordered during our visit, arrived promptly. The customer service was also good and friendly. One more thing I wanted to say - I love the restaurant's interior - it is spacious with plenty of natural light coming in from large windows, the tables are not too close to each other, so it is easy to avoid shoulder rubbing with other visitors, yet it is very cosy and welcoming with plenty of different lighting and decor features. I would say, that kind of restaurant interior is my personal favourite.
Be the first to Replywonderful wonderful waitress
I came in with my family on the 25th of Feb to celebrate my 21st and the waitress that looked after our table was wonderful (we were the table by the window at 3pm) she was so on it with topping up our bottomless drinks and just really friendly and attentive. please let her know!

Booked a table at 5 pm as we were going to a show, discovered it has a special Weds menu - 2 courses for £16. We had to ask for that set menu which had items we’d have chosen from the main menu. We had posh lamb donar kebab - lovely though it could have had more lamb and the flatbread was abit thick - and the spicy chicken also nice, a side of sweet potato fries, the choc brownie and the lemon tart both lovely and 2 large house red wines .The bill which included a 12.5% service charge was £53. Service was ok though abit slow and they weren’t busy p, this might not have bothered us if we hadn’t been in a hurry to get to the theatre. Glad I got the discounted menu.
Be the first to ReplyReally tasty chicken
Came here for dinner. Started with the fondue with crispy bacon - was really delicious! For main we both had the spicy chicken with fries which was really tasty though I wouldn’t really say it was spicy - more fruity. The homemade lemonade was delicious. Service was very good and prompt. Beautifully decorated. Only quibble was the chicken was served on a metal tray lined with paper - what’s wrong with a plate?!
Be the first to ReplyService was prompt and exceptionally courteous
The waitperson was exceptionally patient with our group of four who had a hard time making up our individual choices and were also in a hurry. The food was really good.
Be the first to ReplyLate lunch. Great staff
Sadly very disappointing despite staff being really kind. Food arrived randomly and hash browns that were forgotten towards the end of our meal. They didn’t charge us for them. Staff really apologetic. Lovely venue. Buzzy vibe. Dogs welcome. Word of advice….. if you want carrot cake reserve a piece!

Such a good vive with simple but great tasty food. Great casual concept not fancy at all and dogs are welcome
Be the first to ReplyHarry is worth 5 Stars on his own
Just walking past and fell in as it looked nice and welcoming inside with a great menu. Shame then to see the poor reviews about service on here as we waited for our food (bit late to look then you may say). However we were well looked after (by the aforementioned Harry) and he made our evening. Attentive, charming and helpful. Oh and the food was fantastic too. Choice of a few more craft ales wouldn’t go amiss, but the Brixton pale ale washes down a spicy chicken perfectly well.
Be the first to ReplyEmails ignored twice! **avoid**
My two attempts at emailing this company have been completely ignored and a week has passed! Really don’t bother with this restaurant unless you want to be treated badly! I don’t like to leave bad reviews so would rather contact you directly. Myself and a group of colleagues had a table booked for 7pm last night, 2 of us left work directly and headed straight to the restaurant to have a drink whilst waiting for our table. We were seated at a spare table by a very nice waiter, after 20 mins, I had to get up and find someone to take our drinks order, it wasn’t busy, the manager merely glanced at me and said ‘I didn’t see you come in’. We were then moved to the table the waiter believed to be ours, to then be told by the manager, this isn’t your table, your tables not ready, our drinks order still hadn’t been taken. We moved back to the spare table with uncomfortable wooden benches with no backs. When the rest of our party arrived, at 7pm, I asked if we could now move to our table to be told by the manager ‘No, the people there are busy working, can’t you just stay where you are’. I asked for a more comfortable table and she gestured towards a booth and told us ‘You can move there if you like’, so we moved. We asked 2 different waiting staff what was available on the ‘neighbours night’ menu, the first didn’t know, the 2nd told us ‘any two courses from the menu’. I then asked about Gluten free options, I had added this to the original booking request, and was handed 1 neighbours night menu which I assumed to be the allergens menu, I asked if I could order anything from this menu and was told ‘No, the manager has to take your order’! We eventually managed to get drinks, 6 neighbours night menus and someone to take our food order, the manager came over and asked me ‘What do you want’, I asked, again, what am I able to order as I am Coeliac, she replied ‘tell me what you want and I’ll tell you if you can have it’, I said I would look at my options online and she walked off! I have to say, the food was absolutely delicious, when ordering desserts, I decided not to bother the manager again so ordered the Brownie with the waiter, my friend reminded him that I am gluten free so he asked ‘Can you not eat ice cream?’ this shows an appalling lack of knowledge about allergens! When we were finally able to get the bill, the desserts had been charged at full price rather than the inclusive menu price, we asked for an amendment, when this came, we had been charged 20% service rather than the advertised 12.5% so asked again for an amendment, at no point did the manager come over to assist her staff with any of this! When we left the restaurant, the manager turned her back and stood facing the back wall of the bar! We work for a very large, local business with all departments currently considering where to hold their Christmas meals/parties. From the look of the reviews you have received on Trip advisor, it seems that the service in this restaurant is losing you an awful lot of business. I would be absolutely appalled if I knew my staff were behaving in this manner to customers and the manager on duty last night showed absolutely no support to her staff or regard to your customers. I look forward to your reply
Be the first to ReplyDelicious food - wonderful service!
Enjoyed a delicious meal in the beautifully decorated restaurant a few days ago. The service amazing - we were given tips on what may be a good combo of food for us & reminded of the happy hour! On top of this, after forgetting my phone, the manager Chelsea went above & beyond to ensure that I was re-united with it. Wish I lived closer so that I could pop in again soon - have already recommended a trip to Meghan's to others.

Waiter told us that we were in the correct hours to receive happy hour, this was not the case once the bill arrived. Service awful, price and quality of the drinks was even worse. Would not recommend to anyone.

Not a great experience! Couldn’t fault the food at all, however the service was abysmal. Generally a young team of staff and the main issue was the lack of leadership on the restaurant floor, training and overall guidance would benefit all staff. Staying in the hotel across the road we had been looking at the restaurant for a few days, on our last night we decided to treat ourselves and take the plunge. What a mistake we made… Having no reservation we were seated very quickly by a lovely girl, that was one of the highlights of our experience. Having ordered we were waiting 40 mins to receive one of the two starters ordered, the other seemed to have been forgotten about. The croquettes were very tasty. After the starter was cleared our waitress came over three times to let us know our mains were being plated and should be here soon, we waited another 15 mins to receive them. As the other starter hadn’t arrived we inquired if it had been ordered and if it had/hadn’t to inform us either way, as if it hadn’t we were just going to cancel it and it wouldn’t have been a big deal (all three of us have previously worked in service and completely understand mistakes happen.) The waiter went to the table next to us next dropping an order and ignored us completely…. A few minutes later after seeing him pass us twice more we asked another waitress to cancel the order as we had been waiting nearly an hour at this stage and the others dining had nearly finished their main course, we didn’t want to be waiting any longer. After cancelling them, they arrived to the table a few minutes later. When paying we were not even asked about our experience and having had problems we should have been asked at the least. I think it was the manager with whom I dealt with while paying, being honest she was a bit rude and not friendly. Having worked in the service industry in the past I usually am not one to judge, however there did seem to be quite a lacking of leadership or management within the restaurant. The staff need to communicate better with each other and the patrons, mistakes do happen we are all only human! Also I think if the waitresses/ waiters had sections there may not be as many problems as we noticed other patrons seemed to have problems such as wrong drinks arriving to their tables.
Be the first to ReplyTurkish Breakfast
We were so disappointed. We came here for Turkish breakfast but this “Turkish brunch” was not even close to turkish breakfast. They didn’t give us cheese, olives, or even tomatoes and cucumbers. They even didn’t give us plates, forks, knifes or spoons before we asked(the food was already served when we asked). I think they tought we were going to eat the food with our hands! 😞😞

Enjoyed a delicious brunch at Megan's in Kensington. Food was lovely with good choice of dishes and staff were attentive during a very busy Sunday morning service.
Be the first to ReplyDelightful Staff
Initial impression wasn't good. We had booked a table for 5pm but arrived at about 3.30 so asked if we could have a drink outside in the sun until our booking. We were told that we couldn't sit outside as it was going to rain!!!!! We went elsewhere, and it didn't rain! When we returned it was a different story and the staff were lovely and welcoming (I suspect they had been very busy, or were short staffed so couldn't handle the outside tables being used as well as those inside - if that was the case why not be honest?) Our young Greek waitress was delightful and our food was excellent. We will return next time we are in London

Service terrible, food and drinks never turned up and they still tried to charge us for everything we ordered but never received… when we complained we were accused of being unreasonable and they had done nothing wrong.
Be the first to ReplyOh Megan’s!!
Overall I really like coming here. The atmosphere is good, decor is lovely and food is generally tasty. Also love that it’s dog friendly and dogs get their own bed and treats. Not sure if Megan’s is a victim of its own success but recent visits haven’t been as good - food was cold, service was slow and staff looked over worked. The manager publicly berating a staff member was unprofessional and toilets (not just recently but each time I’ve been) are disgusting and quite frankly off-putting.
Be the first to ReplyThe best place for a happy and healthy meal !
If you are looking for a satisfying and healthy meal on a bad weather day as a tourist near Holland Park Area this place is answer to your prayers . Located on the Kensington High street this offers best of service , best of welcome . I went there with my grand daughter and was looking for a decent place to eat . The interior are welcoming and buzzing with energy of good food . The menu is displayed outside the entrance . We went there at the nearly midday . The menu is varied with continental and Lebanese choices . The place Is very pleasant and our choice of bowl of salad with feta plus a bowl of felafal , hummus and pitta was tasty . The freshness , excellent service and the relaxing atmosphere was soothing . The prices are fine dining prices . No contact payment is the only option for paying your bill . Highly recommended .
Be the first to ReplyVery poor customer experience.
Dropped in for a mid afternoon drink with my wife and daughter. Plenty of tables empty. Before we could sit down was told by someone with a basic grasp of English that all the tables were booked. He was rude and practically pushed us out the door. No visible reserved notes on tables. Really not that impressed. Popped across the road to Flesh and Buns. Much nicer experience in there and felt welcome.

Be the first to ReplyVictim of its own success
We have had pleasant relaxed experiences and enjoyed the food at branches of Megan’s more local to us at Battersea Power Station and Old York Road, Wandsworth. Those branches are newer and fresher than at Kensington which, although only opened in 2019, felt a tad tired in places, particularly worn stairs down to washrooms with water all over the floor. Matters are not helped by an active policy of welcoming dogs, illustrated by the fact our waitress had to take time off from serving tables at a busy restaurant to mop the floor where a small dog had relieved itself before leaving. At one level we were pleased to get a table at short notice. But the atmosphere was frankly claustrophobic not assisted by some mindlessly intrusive background music. Waiting staff and perhaps also those working in the kitchen were overwhelmed by the demands on them. My beer came promptly but waiting staff had to be asked several times for water. Part of our order (skinny fries) was seemingly forgotten as it arrived when we had nearly finished our meal. A waiter arrived with part of our order without identifying any of the dishes in his hand. Given that most dishes are a melange of many different ingredients it is not immediately apparent which is which. Megan’s has simply expanded far too quickly. It’s an interesting concept selling essentially Middle Eastern snacks within a very English cafe but its uniqueness is diluted by the brand’s roll-out. What may have seemed quirky at the start now just appears downright odd. And under such pressure execution of the dishes becomes flawed. Very good chips but an uninspiring brunch and a bowl with chicken pieces which seemed a little less than fresh; a flatbread with lamb and a mixture of rather miscellaneous ingredients.

Went here for a mid week meal and catch up with my daughter. Service was attentive and prompt and the food was really good - we couldn’t finish it all - very tasty and reasonable portion sizes. Would visit again
Be the first to ReplyShockingly bad - avoid
A bright airy space that has forgotten that it is about the food and service. The service was incompetent and very slow. Food overly fancy and not nice. A failed concept.
Kensington High Street has much better options. Avoid at all costs.
Found a metal bolt in my salad...
When I returned to the restaurant with the evidence the next day, the waitress said she would refund me for my meal. It then turned out that she charged me again for the meal containing metal. Having followed this up with the manager, Vincenzo, I was asked to email him full details of my visit so he could verify on their CCTV which I did but I have now been chasing the restaurant for 2 months to refund me, firstly for an appalling meal containing a metal bolt, and secondly for charging me twice.
This restaurant is in a fine position and appears to have a good atmosphere but I would strongly advise against risking eating here.
