Friendly staff, very good Canadian-style dishes
Mile End Delicatessen is a gem! The staff's friendliness makes you feel right at home. They serve Canadian-style dishes that are not only delicious but also generous in portion. And don't get me started on the beer - it's top-notch! A must-visit for a hearty meal and warm vibes.
Be the first to ReplyVery good!
There was 3 in our party. We each got something different and everything was very good. Egg, bacon and cheese sandwich on rye was very good. My only disappointment was that it wasn’t grilled or even toasted. But still good. The scrambled eggs with salami was good as was the hash and eggs over easy. Handicapped assessable. Clean.
Be the first to ReplySo this is Montreal Style 🤔
Ordered the Eli Reuben Sabdwich ($24) and the Liptorminator ($21). Liked them. Didn’t love them. Onion roll on the liptornistor actually went well with the liver and fried onions. Eli Reuben just seemed uninspired. Brisket a bit dry. Not inexpensive.

loved having breakfast here. The owner Steve is very personable and fun to talk to. The food was great. I had the Larry David (white fish bagel sandwich) which I loved since it was made without mayo, my husband had the classic breakfast, (best latke around). The wait on this rainy Sunday was not too bad, but they take reservations.
Be the first to ReplyLovely spot, food wasn’t for me sadly
I love this sort of food and have been planning to come here ever since I booked my NY trip. I turned up early as I’d landed so was still on UK time, so it was easy to get a table at 6.45pm. I was seated in a comfy booth and attentive service brought me water straight away. I ordered chicken noodle soup and ,after some debate, the brisket topped poutine. Both arrived quickly , along with a refreshing beer. The noodles in the soup were large pasta twists, not what I was expecting but OK I guess- however I wasn’t expecting a tarragon vibe to the broth. The poutine arrived cold around the edges with solid curds so I sent it back, when it came back hotter and melted I tucked in. The brisket was covered in a thick sauce which looked and tasted like a butternut squash paste- I was hoping for a different sort of onion gravy. Again there was a tarragon -ish influence to the whole dish. It’s a shame as it’s a herb I just don’t get on with, maybe it’s Montreal taste ? 🤷 ♂️ so sadly, not for me.
Be the first to ReplyBest breakfast in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn
I have gone to Mile End more times than I can count, but only recently enjoyed their delicious breakfast. On a quite street in Boerum Hill, Mile End Deli serves up Jewish classics and Montreal-style deli food. I had the bacon egg latke and cheese and was blown away by the flavor. Definitely will be coming back!

Wow, worth a visit and the walk from midtown across the river. Classic deli dishes with the brilliant Montreal twist. Couldn’t resist the standard corned beef Rueben (loved the pumpernickel bread) pimped with poutine. The poutine was just as we remembered it was from Whistler - thank you Great service and super friendly. Lovely place
Be the first to ReplyDelicious breakfast, great staff
My husband, my three teen daughters and I all loved this little spot we found for breakfast. The food (French toast, bagels, smoked salmon, home fries) were all delicious. The owner was our server and he was wonderful.
Be the first to ReplyThe smoked meat was not the
The smoked meat was not the same as smoked meat I’ve had many times in Montreal. Their smoked meat tasted more like pastrami. Montreal smoked meat is closer in taste to corned beef but with a slightly different flavor. While the breakfast sandwiches were good the prices in general were quite high.
Be the first to ReplyThe absolute best deli meat ever
We came here for something to eat after 3 hours at the hospital with a friend. Only takeout was open and ordered three large smoked meat sandwiches. Amazingly moist, flavorful and hearty. There is no other deli meat in any deli
That is better and I have eaten in all the classics. With the pandemic only takeout or delivery is open but try it yourself. Not cheap but worth it. Other goodies from Canada are here too like poutine and hash. You will not be sorry . . .
This place is going downhill.
This place is going downhill. Maybe due to the founder selling out. I used to get a lean, thinly sliced smoked meat sandwich. Today it was thick slabs, half fat. Maybe they think people will eat anything during this crisis

Order one of everything and two Eli Sando's, you won't be sorry! best meat for miles. Get over there or pickup online.

If you are watching your wait sorry for you don't let the door hit you on the wait out.
This place is worth skipping the gym and splurging.
Breakfast was great
A tiny cool place that makes you feel that you are in the US. Great bagels coffee and service. Soft spot.
