I had Uber Eats deliver pork buns, sesame red bean balls, beef chow fun, pork fried rice, and steamed pork buns. The delivery service was awesome. The food was delivered hot and delicious!
Be the first to ReplyVery disappointing for a Michelin guide restaurant.
Served uncooked raw shrimp. I didn't realize until my toddler had already had two. Brought this to the manager's attention. The manager did not apologize, but said "what do you want to do" with absolutely no remorse or surprise. A clear message that this restaurant is all about making money and has no respect for the customer experience or safety. The manager very reluctantly took the one item off our bill.

As usual, disappointed! Have to be in this area, and I would love the food and service to be good. However, as a white person, I frequently gets put in the corner and ignored. Today's dim sum were mediocre. Har Gow dried out, although I acknowledge a whole shrimp in the dumpling. Shrimp balls over salted. A menu so I could order some vegetables, because they were not coming around on my cards as they do in Little Saigon, and I was brought a menu, but cannot get anybody to take my order. New happy garden still the one.

Food was great. Service was quick and curt during the table seating. The cart servers were very friendly and accommodating with their willingness to cut pieces in two or to serve a bit more sauce if asked. The best part was no one complained about the food. The crunchy stuff was crunchy, the succulent stuff succulent. We've paid double to price for dim sum in other places near Sac and did not get double the satisfaction so we were quite pleased. Definitely on the list to return.

Ming Dynasty is known for reasonably priced Dim Sum that can contend for one of the best Dim Sum places in Sacramento. The Dim Sum is very good especially the Har Gao, Shu Mai and the baked BBQ baos, whick I feel, are one of the best I have tasted. My wife feels the sugar glaze detracts from the bao; I disagree. If you get lucky on a Sunday while dining on Dim Sum, try their mango mochi. It sells out quickly and once you get a taste you will know why. I have also ordered lunch and dinner at Ming's and their food is in line with the Dim Sum. My favorites are Kung Pao chicken and the Salty and Spicy pork ribs, better when eaten at the place, but only a level less when brought home. Ming Dynasty is my go to place for Chinese and I often drive out of the way to eat there.

This was my first time eating at dim sum, overall i thought it was ok, the customer service could be better. We ordered a few items from the dim sum menu and some items from the regular menu. We came in around 3pm so there were some things that they were already out of. I think it was just finding things that were the right texture, i was not a fan of the shrimp balls but it was the chewy texture and really pink insides for me. I like the rice paper beef, green beans, and custard. No one took our order initially and then were were asked what we wanted and they took our sheet. Then when we asked to order something else the response was "ok what do you want?"In general i think asian establishments don't focus on customer service and i think it is a cultural thing, but overall my experience was ok. I def would get here earlier to make sure you get what you want, and don't be surprised with rude customer service.

We've been wanting to try this place for a long time and we finally went. Mind you the outside of this restaurant seems kinda sketch but don't let it fool you! The inside is a pretty big place with plenty of seating. We got sat right away. We were a group of three and were only handed 1 big menu and 1 dim sum menu. Weird but Anyways I just got up and grabbed more menus. We asked the waiter questions about what comes in the dishes and he didn't seem to have full knowledge but that's okay, maybe he was new. He was super helpful and quick with getting us what he asked for (sweet & sour sauce, more drinks, etc). We ordered quite a bit of food even though we were a group of 3 lol we like to try a bit of everything. Everything came out pretty quick && really good! Like really good! Definitely give this place a try!
Be the first to ReplyLove this old school dim sum place.
I been there when I was a kid on a family road trip, and 10 year later still the same!
Be the first to ReplyDim sum was ok, orange chicken was bland' black bean
Dim sum was ok, orange chicken was bland' black bean chicken was bland. The fired whole flounder was a tiny fish.We received our steam rice after most of our food was finished, never received water until we were done. We were never attended, they were most focused on other "patrons". Even with not being served or attended We were still charged the 18% service charge. 82$ was not worth.
Be the first to ReplyWent here last night and overall the food was pretty good.
The one thing that was disappointing was that all the shrimp dumplings had spinach or something in them instead of being filled with shrimp. So the har gow I ordered (my fave) was a huge let down. Since when is it more green than pink??? Not sure I'll return.

We've taken our family to eat here several times when we travel to Sacramento. The traditional dim sum experience on Sunday is always fun, but if you're there on a weekday, you can still order all your dim sum favorites. The food is fresh and flavorful, the service fast and attentive, and reasonable pricing!
Be the first to ReplyGreat did sum, so tasty and fresh.
The Sui mai are HUGE! Cart service for dim sum efficient, quick and plentiful. Lots of options. Really enjoyed dining here, was only 5 mins from downtown Sac. Definitely recommend dining here.
Be the first to ReplyMy favorite dim sum in Sacramento.
I feel like I've tried them all but may have missed a spot or two. This is the best.
Be the first to ReplyBeen coming here for years when we lived in midtown.
Now that we are in the Natomas area, we still make the small trip down whenever we are craving dim sum. Always great service and food arrives pretty quickly. We love the shrimp dumplings, shumai, congee, and pork buns.

We stopped in for an early dinner because we have both been craving dim sum. Everything was absolutely delicious! Fluffy bao, well seasoned Shanghai soup dumplings and crispy mochi were some of the highlights. Both of us loved the pork in tofu skin and the fried green tea mochi with black sesame filling. We had several pots of tea and the wait staff were very helpful, attentive and friendly. Everything was clean and it was a nice space. We are really looking forward to coming back and trying the rest of their extensive menu!

Wow we have been coming here off and on and the food has been just ok. Today however it was pretty good. All of the Dim Sum seemed fresh and very flavorful. Not always the norm so this is a good thing. Maybe they got a new chef. We came here with the family so 12 of us. It was nice. We got seated right away lucky before the rush on a Saturday. We ordered chow fun and chow mein . The fun was really fresh. Nice and soft. The chow mein was good to. The only thing I didn't like was the custard tart. They changed it to a hard crust instead of the flakey one. Bad choice, it was really hard so pass on that. We will definitely be coming back for dim sum. Sorry no pictures since it was a family thing I forgot.

First timer over here!My family and I came to celebrate my mom's birthday at Ming Dynasty. The wait was a bit insane on a Sunday. My sister arrived there 20 minutes before I arrived. She had placed her name on the list for a party of 8 and she let me know there wasn't many tables occupied. People were waiting outside but luckily we were able to wait inside. However, when I came in, my sister informed me that they had crossed her name off the list and she had to add her name in again. She didn't hear her name get called. Mind you, we were waiting inside and we were very aware. She made sure to stand near the list when they were calling customers to a table. She noticed they were skipping people on the list. Then, a party of 13 came after us and the host was going to give them a table 5 minutes after they came in. My sister had to speak up and said NO we have been waiting here for over 40 minutes and they just came in. That was the only reason they had sat us. We then sat down and one of the waiters asked if we wanted tea. We said yes but she didn't ask if we wanted water. So we asked a different waiter if he can give us water. He said "There is a drought and if I give you water you have to drink it. Really?! You are going to hear this everywhere." We were just so surprised at what he said to us that we couldn't even respond. Yes, we drank all the water and the tea!Now as for the food, the Dim Sum and traditional Chinese food was delicious! They were pushing dim sum carts around with a variety of pork buns, custard buns, taro buns, sesame balls, dumplings, Shu Mai and some of the Chinese food we had was their fried rice, chow mien and walnut shrimp...and I have not one bad thing to say about the food except, we ordered way too much that is for sure! We had 3 boxes of left overs. The green tea mochi is a must try!OVERALL, i'd come here again because the food is delicious. Some of the staff were really friendly BUT I'd still say the customer service needs improvement.

First review I did was not so great however we visited again and it was AMAZING!! We visited during lunch rush and they had employees walking around with carts. We got to pick what we wanted and it was such a cool experience. The dumplings were AMAZING!! This will def be a spot my husband and I visit frequently. We ordered so much food and walked out spending $50 with tip... It is a great spot!!

The shrimp dumpling here are INSANELY good!! Very large and juicy shrimp inside that have a great *pop* texture when you bite into them. The dumpling itself also has a lovely texture. The shu mai is meaty, juicy, and large! These two items alone could be a meal for one. Can't wait to come back and try some entrees and more dim sum!
