Great place
This place had amazing service and amazing food. Savanah, the server/hostess deserves a raise. I had the baba ghanoush, the short rib hummus, and lamb hummus, bowls, and they were all amazing. Incredible bloody Mary’s also…

Food is top notch: from the hummus to the skewers, from the whipped ricotta to the kofta. Service is always friendly and the vibe is great. 100% recommended!
Be the first to ReplyReach exceeds its grasp
Miss Ada’s reach exceeds its grasp. Well selected menu items and ingredients gave way to rushed service, overcooked fish skewers, and limited, overpriced selection of wines-by-the- glass.
Be the first to ReplyTiny spot in the heart of Fort Greene with a tasty hummus selection
I had a brunch date with two of my friends at Miss Ada and the food was simply amazing. I recommend sampling the different hummus offered at Miss Ada. We tried the eggplant hummus, sweet potato hummus, and beet hummus. All three were absolutely delicious with my favorite being the sweet potato hummus ( I really like sweet potatoes). I also tried the Malawach Pizza, flaky yummy goodness. The only downside was the place was crowded (as expected given the great food) so we were stuck with the last table (very tiny) available. Also, things were a bit rushed given brunch was closing soon but the rush didn’t diminish the food quality.

This is our buddy who lives in Brooklyn's favourite local restaurant. We went here on our first night in Brooklyn and it was fabulous. Delicious small plates tapas style. Absolutely would recommend
Be the first to ReplyGreat meal (albeit dusty plates/silverware)
This spot has quite a bit of hype built around it in a decent area (Fort Greene). It’s definitely better to have a reservation. We went for brunch and were seated pretty promptly. The waitress was knowledgeable and helpful with our dishes. For entrees, we got the chicken shawarma hummus (quite hearty), the shakshuka (eggplant is optimal to add, though that’s not shown on menu…delectable either way), and Israeli breakfast (standard but got the job done). As a starter, we had the muhamarra - which we really enjoyed because it was delicious as usual but less sweet (i.e., didn’t seem to have as much of the pomegranate molasses). And we topped it all off with a chocolate babka with crème fraîche - great way to end the meal. All in all, I would recommend it. My only (minor) gripe is that all the silverware/plates were really dusty. Be sure to inspect it before you start eating. We ended up getting a napkin and water and cleaning them ourselves.
Be the first to ReplyGreat meal, something different!
Lamb skewer, Octopus, lamb shawarma hummus and the crispy cauliflower were outstanding. So many flavors and spices it was worth the effort to get there from Manhattan. Service was very fast and food came before my cocktail. I had the Dead Sea cocktail which was very good as well. We will visit there again next time we are in NYC.

Went for brunch at restaurant opening on a week end. Sat outside. Do reserve! Excellent food. Very nice waitress.
First brunch in a year and I was very happy. I love Israeli/ Mediterranean food and this is one of the best I have had in NY. Also nice to all senses: Beautiful plates, real napkins! That takes it up a notch and feels good.
Super delicious food and great service
I’ve lived in several countries around the Mediterranean and I’m very familiar with food from the region. This is easily the BEST Med food I’ve ever had. It’s tasty, sophisticated, delicate, simply delicious. We had a mezze assortment and skewers. All were excellent, especially the labne, the halloumi and the kofte kebab. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The service is efficient. Great atmosphere. The only trouble : don’t try a last minute reservation, the place is booked solid. Word of mouth travels fast.
Be the first to ReplyWe'll have to visit in person
Ordered for takeout twice and both times were great. We loved the trio of mezze, as well as the delicious oven brick chicken. Lamb with hummous also outstanding.

Before I came here, I was wary of some of the reviews detailing poor customer service and a rushed dining experience. I'm a firm believer in making your own opinion from your own experience though so I had to try it. I must say I was impressed and delighted at how amazing everything was!
I came here with a friend and we did not make a reservation. There was about a 30 minute wait on a Tuesday evening, so we walked around and looked in some of the shops down the street. The space is very narrow so on a full night there isn't really anywhere to wait inside.
My friend and I were seated at the bar, which if you have bags and jackets with you like we did, can be a bit cramped. However the bartender still provided us with attentive service (he wasn't going anywhere and there are only so many seats at the bar), even though we did have a bit of a time fitting all our plates in front of us when they came. It seemed like everything we ordered magically appeared in front of us mere moments after we ordered it, but it felt like a moment of instant gratification rather than feeling rushed to eat and leave.
The food:
We ordered several small plates and two desserts. If you're eating out with a friend or two, I think that's the only way to do it, as some of the dishes are very rich and can be a lot for one person to tackle on their own. The whipped ricotta and honey was divine on their fluffy warm pita! We couldn't get enough of the fresh bread so we must have ordered extra three times (I think after a while the bartender stopped charging us for each order haha). The baba ganoush was tangy and well spiced! The Lima bean hummus (they had a few different varieties to choose from) was silky and smooth. And my favorite - the crispy cauliflower shawarma - was to die for! I am going to have to come back here once a month just to get an order of this for myself. It was the only thing I didn't want to share with my friend! The outside was crispy and crunchy with a soft yet firm inside. The flavor was smoky with a bit of spice and a sweet drizzle of honey. I will undoubtedly try and fail to replicate this at home. Finally, the two desserts we got were so decadent yet light. The fun cake was moist and sweet, like a tres leches cake, but the bits of honeycomb on top really added a nice bit of texture and sticky sweetness. The kanafeh was a delightful juxtaposition of textures and flavors, combining the crispy airiness of the kadaif with the smooth base of sweetened goat cheese served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Now I am absolutely not a goat cheese fan but this dessert was delicious and not too heavy if you're looking for a sweet way to finish your meal without bursting at the seams.
10/10 would recommend and I cannot wait to go here again soon!
Great food, incredibly rushed
Miss Ada’s has great food, very inventive. But overall it was not a good experience. After one hour and 10 minutes of a very rushed meal, our server arrived and told us we needed to leave because they had another reservation waiting. I’ve never experienced this in NYC. Great food can’t make up for a meal that feels like you are on an assembly line. Not welcoming or pleasant. I won’t return.

Nothing but good things to say about Miss Ada. We were here for brunch. A lot of inventive twists to things that can be twisted (like hummus). Miss Ada’s twists are winners. The Bloody Mary with beets is an appetizer all to itself. We split the appetizers: baba ganoush (possibly the beat I’ve ever had) sweet potato hummus, olive mix and burekas. All top flight and the pita they serve with it is hot, soft, fresh and drizzled with oil. I had the lamb shawarma and it was delicious and filling. I also tasted a few other entrees and the Israeli breakfast plate was what I (and the majority of us) considered to be the best of all of the brunch entrees. We shared the babka for dessert (served with creme freche) and it that did not disappoint either. The service was outstanding even though they were very busy. The seating was laid out comfortably particularly considering the space they have to work with (like so many other places in Brooklyn) so no one felt cramped or stuffed in. I will definitely be back when I’m in Fort Greene.
Be the first to ReplyVery cool place; very good food
Okay, keep an eye out when you're approaching this place. Seems to be a trendy thing to make your restaurant difficult to identify from outside. We walked past a few times. But wow, were we glad we found it. This is the classic Brooklyn place, with a few huge benefits. Nothing fancy, lots of seemingly recycled furniture, and small tables, but great service. Friendly and helpful, even when we were clearly taking a bit too long making decisions. Bar is excellent; friendly and welcoming. Crowded the entire evening. This restaurant has an unusually excellent outdoor space, but it is tough to get seated there. We were inside, which was just fine. Small open kitchen with an awful lot happening, and all of it is phenomenal. The smell of roasting meat, fresh mint and cumin and all those beautiful spices as well as the pitas just fills the air. Kebabs, hummus (get the hummus with a topping - lamb schwarma or Israeli salad), and beautifully composed dips. And the most wonderful, fresh, warm pitas to enjoy them with. We had two entrees, and the steak was among the best I have had anywhere - and that includes steak places. The kofta kebabs were pretty awesome, served on a cinnamon stick. Wine list is short and functional, but includes some great pairing choices. Not terribly expensive, either. We had dessert because although we had no room, we felt like we just hadn't had enough of the place. Go.
