Nothing else like it in nyc. The size makes up for the price!

Expensive, but it's a really good, giant sandwich that can be broken down into two meals.

I had the pleasure of trying out The Gobbler and Tim Howley sandwiches at a local sandwich shop, and they were both delicious! The Gobbler had a perfect blend of turkey, provolone, cranberry, bacon, and the red onion added an extra pop of flavor that really brought the sandwich to life. The Tim Howley had an amazing Peruvian green sauce, along with some delicious guacamole and cilantro, which gave it a great South American kick. The staff was friendly and helpful, and it was great to be able to have such tasty sandwiches so early in the day. I definitely recommend The Gobbler and Tim Howley sandwiches if you're looking for a unique sandwich experience.Ambiance was quite It's a little corner store in Brooklyn NY.

Be the first to ReplyOKAY I know their sandwiches are $20 which seems a little
OKAY I know their sandwiches are $20 which seems a little ridiculous but I promise they're actually good. Most can be made vegetarian which is a plus. I got one of the popular ones called pecking turkey and I made it vegetarian, it was really good. One note is that the sandwiches are absolutely ginormous, so if anything you can split it with someone and it'll honestly be a full meal still. Chef Brian, he was on beat Bobby flay and is usually in the store so definitely snap a selfie with him when you're there.
Be the first to ReplyWe tried almost all of their sandwiches.
They opened when we already been in moving process from Williamsburg, and now when we near, all the time stops to get some sandwich. One will be enough to feed two adults

Do you ever crave a sandwich thats the size and weight of a newborn baby? Are you tired of the boring run of the mill sandwiches like ham and cheese (no shade on ham and cheese- thats my jam!)? Do you want to have a sandwich-induced nap? Mission Sandwich Social has got your covered! My neighbor was raving about these "humungous" sandwiches that her adult son had a hard time finishing and I decided to accept the challenge. The sandwiches are priced accordingly - they pack a lot in there and an average price per hero is about $20ish, give or take. There are awesome combos like the peking duck, the cuban, and my personal fave - the valencia. The beasts of sandwiches are on a delicious roll (roll sounds so small buts its like a football!) and packed with fillings and condiments. The Valencia has a variety of deli meats and its packed with sweet peppers, spicy peppers, lettuce and tomato. Each sandwich is packed in a paper tote of sorts that also contains a much needed napkin and a tootsie pop for dessert. They also have smaller sammies for the kiddos or those looking for a lighter sandwich. My little one LOVES the turkey and cheese. Its served on white bread, is warmed up so the cheese gets melty and is just the right size. I like to attack my sandwiches in quarters and they can easily take an entire day for me finish but they are delicious and Im so happy they deliver!

Paid $22 for an overpriced mediocre sandwich I could've gotten from any corner deli in Williamsburg. It seems like what you're really paying for is a fancy box and lollipop and low quality lettuce/chicken cutlet rather than a "mind blowing sub" as they advertise. I suggested to order from here to my friends and was met with utter embarrassment when what arrived was essentially a cold Purdue chicken patty smothered in sauce and low quality lettuce. You can get a better sub at subway. The only item delivered that I enjoyed was the lollipop. The place is called Mission and the only mission I assume they have is to commit highway robbery on every person who eats here.
Be the first to ReplyI found Mission Sandwich Social on instagram and thought
I found Mission Sandwich Social on instagram and thought the sandwiches looked delicious. After ordering though, I was tragically dissapointed. The "garlic bread" hardly tasted like anything, the lettuce tasted like it fell off the back of the taco bell truck, and the chicken "cutlet" made me reminisce about my days eating chicken patties in elementary school. I haven't even mentioned the price yet...Within the packaging, i got a business card that said "MIND BLOWING SUBS". Well, I think its mind blowing that someone would charge $25 for a sandwich that wouldn't cut it at Quiznos.
Be the first to ReplySo the spot is a very clean pristine location.
There isnt much seating but the of the location is really nice. Then pricing is btwn 20-30 bucks with tax per sandwich because the sandwiches are the size of a new born. One thing I did notice is that they dont keep the same menu and do sell out of certain sandwiches, have an open mind abt what you want when you get there because the one you see online maybe no longer sold. You can modify your sandwich to your liking as well. Once I came in I was immediately acknowledged and introduced to who would be helping me . I ordered the Steven Byrne and butcherd the pronunciation of everything I wanted. The kind cashier accepted my mess and put in the order for me . Now the food. The food is very fresh. They scoop out the bread yall ..like legit its how they make the sandwich. Keep in mind, the bread is legit immaculate and so perfect. They scoop it out to simply to add more protein and veggies to your sammy. The sandwish is huge. Its like a guilt free sammy of your life. BIG BITES EVERYWHERE it got to the point i was taking half bites. I plan to come back and try more sandwiches .

Came back a second time after a long hiatus, and it still hits! They even added more vegan options-- the Annie Oakley has vegan (Beyond) chicken, roasted eggplant, balsamic dressed lettuce and arugula, tomato, and vegan mayo, and probably some other stuff I'm missing. A HUGE sandwich just like last time, a little messy, but that's how you know it's good. Delicious! They also also said they could make a lot of other sandwiches vegan by subbing the beyond chicken Patty and using vegan mayo. Amazing!

Saw this place on IG and then on tiktok, definitely the best sandwich I've ever had. The bread is so so crunchy but soft too. The staff was super chill and they were playing Drakes new album so that's an extra 100 points. The sandwich was drippy and beautiful and I can't imagine living without it. The tootsie roll was the perfect way to end the meal. If I could go here at least once a week I would, will be quitting my job to make that happen

Finally someone brought DUTCH CRUNCH to New York City! My husband (from California) talked about it for years. Soon as mission pop up on my IG we went over to try it and it DIDN'T disappoint! The bread is amazing ingredients are fresh menu is innovative service is fast and friendly
Be the first to Reply2 stars for the execution of the sandwiches, and an extra
2 stars for the execution of the sandwiches, and an extra star for the quality of ingredients in the sandwich. I was very excited to try this place after seeing the hype on social media. The sandwiches are in fact massive, but once you bite into it, that's where the novelty starts to wear off. Everything is served on a San Francisco style bread called Dutch Crunch that they bake on site. Props for the effort, but this bread has some similarities to another popular chain that will not be named. The Chopped Cheese is a Sunday only special, and came with chopped beef, Turkey, pork, cheese sauce, sharp provolone, chipotle vegannaise, red wine vinegar, lettuce, and tomato. I was told to eat the sandwich upside down by the staff basically because the bread is too weak to hold up the rest of the sandwich. That proved to be true. The chipotle vegannaise was a little overpowering and the majority of every bite was lettuce from the pile they stacked on here. You can get a better overall chopped cheese from a bodega and pay half the price. I also tried the Post Melon which is one of their most popular sandwiches but I'll sum it up as what someone should dub 'Mission Syndrome': too many things going on at once. Prosciutto, cantelope, fresh mozzarella, hot honey, aged provolone, Italian herb Mayo, red wine vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, Dijon mustard, basil, tomato, arugula, and oregano. This is like 3 sandwiches in 1. The Italian herb Mayo, oregano, and arugula were so overpowering I couldn't taste anything else. The sandwich was falling apart because of all the liquid. The prosciutto and melon which is a classic duo was completely drowned out which was a huge disappointment. Also for $21 the meat on here was almost invisible (see pic). Overall, Mission is a one and done. Every sandwich looks like you went in your fridge and emptied everything into some bread. The whole "celebrity chef" thing also contributed to the over-promise and under-deliver experience.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious sandwiches and great vegetarian/vegan options.
Expensive, but huge portions.

These are the sickest sandies in the 'hood right now- tried about half the menu and they are all amazing and they are monster sized! The staff is pretty friendly as well which goes along way in this neighborhood!
Be the first to ReplyThis place is one of the most deserving of a 5 star review
This place is one of the most deserving of a 5 star review and Mission has done an incredible job at creating, by far, the most delicious subs that I have ever tried. You can just tell that each sub has been designed carefully to incorporate some of the best flavor combos around. These are the most creative sandwiches around and I really wish I could've tried every single one. I ended up deciding on the Macho Comacho, which has the most explosive flavor combo of pork, pepperjack, guacamole, a special green sauce, sweet peppers, and the rest of the usual fixings, and it was insane. I hope they grow and franchise down to NJ, I would be one happy camper! Besides the food, the service was incredibly friendly, cool, and professional. This is a must try place when in Brooklyn, or anywhere else, it's work the drive or train ride into the city.
Be the first to ReplyWent to this amazing sandwich shop on a visit to Brooklyn.
Their menu may come off as basic but their sandwiches are just perfection. Packed in a great way, so you can save half of the sandwich for later and you just might want to. It looks like they may have changed their menu, but the sandwich I got was a chicken cutlet with prosciutto, pesto, Parmesan cheese, fresh mozzerella and brocolli raabe. The bread is a Dutch crunch bread and is so fluffy and delicious. They gave me a marinara to dip in. Each sandwich comes with a tootsie pop and it's the perfect ending to an amazing sandwich. The shop was busy so Brooklyn knows what's up!

My roommate came back raving about her amazing sandwich so I had to go try it. It's a vegetarian, I usually don't get to enjoy a really hearty mind blowing sammie, but I did today.Got the vegetarian Steve Byrne and the mushrooms & kimchi + the sauce were A1. I personally don't think the fries inside were necessary since the sandwich was already busting from the seams and messy, but my roommate liked the addition.Yes, they are pricey but they're worth it because the portion sizes are huge. Definitely recommend splitting with someone.
Be the first to ReplyLoved the sandwich here! Dutch Crunch is my favorite
Loved the sandwich here! Dutch Crunch is my favorite sandwich bread, and while it wasn't quite Ike's (bay area folks will know), it was still very good and definitely the best available here. I also love that they add a tootsie roll pop!I got the post mélon sandwich and it was delicious - primarily the first half I was able to eat in the first sitting. I loved the melon in the sandwich with the prosciutto and the cheese, the flavors just blended wonderfully. The sandwich is absolutely massive and lasted two meals, although it would be nice to be able to order a half since they are so huge and quite pricy. The sandwich wasn't half as good the next day as a leftover, but no way could I have eaten the whole thing in one sitting.I'd definitely give this spot another try, but maybe come with a friend and split.
Be the first to ReplyIt was a good sandwich.
It was a great sandwich, even. It was $21. Sure, it's massive, but the thought of paying $21 for a sandwich (and that was one of the cheaper ones!!) is tough to stomach. I would have a much easier time paying $10 for a half size. It seems ridiculous that they don't offer that since a reasonable person cannot finish a full one, and sandwiches don't save well as leftovers.I got the bensonhurst and my only minor complaint was that I wish there had been more sauce, but the chicken was *chef's kiss* delicious and the prosciutto was generously layered on. The broccoli rabe was a bit too bitter for my liking but that's broccoli rabe for you...I just didn't think through my order.Definitely super creative sandwiches and worth the price if you have someone to split it with...but good lord, please start offering half sizes so I can justify a return visit!
Be the first to ReplyToday is the day I realized that I don't like broccoli rabe
Today is the day I realized that I don't like broccoli rabe so go lightly if you're unsure. I ordered delivery and couldn't decide between the two sandwiches Bensonhurst and Lucca. I enjoyed the lucca more. The way these sandwiches are packaged is really with thought and love, napkin on the bottom with a hand wipe, includes a lollipop. They arrived in perfect condition. Very fresh, very good, but the price point isn't there for me and in the end a half price deli sandwich probably would've hit it for me.
Be the first to ReplyWell as sandwiches go it was okay, this was the turkey
Well as sandwiches go it was okay, this was the turkey sandwich that has Sriracha which I had them omit. I was expecting The bread to have a more flavorful taste. There's definitely a lot to be said for social media and advertising, ... i'll definitely be back to try the Korean short rib sandwich.
Be the first to ReplyRidiculous.
