Great spot
Great sushi, ramen, and beer. Johan the bartender was very attentive. Would definitely recommend to friends or family

Exceptional ramen and sushi restaurant. The food was delicious and fresh. The waitress was so friendly and willing to please. Very pleasant atmosphere - just the right balance of sophistication without being formal. Would definitely return.

We sat at the bar and enjoyed the atmosphere and music. The bartender was very attentive and served us right away. We enjoyed the sake and had several varieties. We also ordered the pork gyoza as an appetizer and it was delectable! The ramen was to die for! Tsukemen was spicy and incredible! Full of flavors, rich, and tender! My wife loved the Tonkotsu which had pork broth and pork belly. Some of the best ramen weโve ever had!

Very nice restaurant. Very pleasant staff. And very good value for money. The appetizers were good and the ramen excellent! My partner enjoyed her chicken broth a little less because she doesn't like mushrooms and we didn't expect it to taste as good.
Be the first to ReplyVery good Japanese if you want Ramen
Very good Japanese restaurant with ramen. Very friendly welcome, the waitress took the time to advise us. Excellent value. Note at lunchtime, a menu at a reasonable price. Wide variety of sakes. You can go there with confidence.
Be the first to ReplyFascinating place
The place was packed out, which was a great indication of the meal we were about to have. The starters and ramen were great, with strong flavours and rounded spices. A little surprised that there was no hot sake on offer but we assumed that may not be a โthingโ in NYC. No big deal really. Bench seating shared with others and a swell of conversations around us, all added to make the place feel โhomelyโ. A nice evening.

We went for Lunch and had Ramen Noodles. Very delicious, good atmosphere and friendly staff. Very good special on cold days to have that warm mildly spicy soup!
Be the first to ReplyRich and spicy
A highly recommended place in NYC for both quality and price. We liked the quality of the dishes. The ramen was exquisite and if you ask for it spicy, it's very spicy. Quite a pleasure. On another trip to NY I would return to this place. The treatment of the staff has been friendly but if you reserve everything will be easier

Crazy Ramen, fast and impeccable service. Be wary of anyone who says otherwise. My partner and I had to return 3 times in the space of a week, it became home for us.

My friends and I found this restaurant by complete chance and we were so glad we did! The food and service were both excellent!
Be the first to ReplyGreat place for ramen
I love to go to Momosan every time I am visiting the neighborhood. The ramen is one of my favorites. Fast and friendly service. The baoโs are delicious. A wonderful place for a quick bite or even hangout with some friends.

This had been my frequent lunch spot since its opening until the pandemic. I went back and it was still as good. In the photo is Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen with extra egg and crushed garlic (I always order them).
Be the first to ReplyBig disappointment!
Great sake choices (carafe = 3 glasses, $24), delicious sticky ribs ( 2 ribs, $11. a la carte) but all three of us were so disappointed in our ramen soups. Four bite size pieces of chicken thigh meat in the chicken ramen (($25 for app and soup, or $18. for soup). The Tan tan and another Ramen soup were spicy but otherwise unremarkable. The worst part of the entire evening was the music that was being played. It was so loud that we couldnโt even hear each other speak, and the worst part of all was that it was heavy metal. Awful! It was enough to make us never want to return again.

Had a great 10 days in New York with my husband, we visited Momosan twice because we enjoyed our first meal so much. The food was amazing and all the staff were friendly and very welcoming. Would highly recommend the pork gyoza, the soft shell crab bao, spicy tonkotzu and chashu bap. Wish we had more time, we'd probably go back again!!โบ๏ธ๐๐

Amazing place and food. Visiting NY, my wife and I had dinner here multiple times. We were always pleased with amazing plates and the great service from the friendly staff!

Great ramen, drinks and nibbles. We had the karaage chicken, duck taco, and ramen. Good food and good service (which is not a given in NY). Definitely recommend.

Very nice place where to eat something delicious. I had ramen and it was very close to what I eaten in Japan some yearsvago. Also yakisoba was very tasty. Price right.

The ramen both my friend and I had was delicious. I didn't care for the Sake but just because I'm not much if a drinker. The reason for my mediocre rating was my experience when I first arrived. I was treating my friend out for her birthday. I planned a Japanese-themed evening and after our dinner there, we were on our way to see Madame Butterfly at Lincoln Center. So, we were dressed rather elegantly and arrived a few minutes before the restaurant opened at 5 p.m. in order to not have to rush our meal and still make the 7:00 p.m. performance. We were only the third group of people to enter and I asked for a booth. The hostess who met us at the door was not very nice when she said we couldn't have one "because we just opened." She said you can sit at the bar. I said it will be difficult for me to sit at the bar in the dress and heels I was wearing. Then she said our other option was the communal table, and to add insult to injury, we had to sit next to each other and not across, which would have made conversation easier. If it weren't for the fact that it was too late to go some place else I would have. I've been to other ramen restaurants and sat at communal tables and not told that we had to sit side by side. I didn't want to make a scene and put a pallor on my friend's birthday, so we did as instructed. My friend also didn't understand why we couldn't sit at a booth as there were so few people. A party of three got to sit in a booth. Why weren't they told to sit at a communal table. This hostess was white, with very long, dark haur and overweight. She just seemed to take a dislike to me upon entering the restaurant. The waitress that waited on us was very pleasant.

Great food and great service.
Portion sizes were good and prices well.
Between us we had sushi, ramen and ribs.
Can't fault any of it.
Service was fantastic too.

Being a ramen lover decided to try this place out upon good reviews, but unfortunately this place was such a let down.
First, right when we entered the restaurant no greeting no warm welcome.
Second, asked the older server lady what was most popular and if she had any recommendations. she was not the nicest and responded in an irritated tone.
Third, decided to try the shoyu food came out the chicken topping was cold! told the server chicken was cold and she says it's suppose to be cold just warm it up in the soup, but soup was also room temperature...
i guess it was an off day? overall it wasn't a good experience
Best Ramen hands down ๐๐ฝ
Best spot in NYC! The service, the food, the drinks were amazing! We had the full stop with sake sangria, bao, pork dumplings, tonkotsu, and tan-tan ramen and from start to finish the food was superb. The service was quick and very friendly. I would recommend this place every time ๐๐ฝ

Very rude host. Would not come back. I call on my way and because we arrived 3 min late they wonโt seat us. Unfortunately because place was almost empty.

Be the first to ReplyA Memorable Bao
When restaurants in the Big Apple were closed during the โpauseโ memories of different meals I had enjoyed made those months bearable. Often I would think of a place where I had savored something delicious recreating the experience in my mind. One such restaurant was Morimoto-sanโs Momosan Ramen & Sake where I had lunch with Aaron during my week-long birthday celebration in February. We ate baos and ramen. The ramen was warm and flavorful, but the Kakuni bao was spectacular. Looking at the picture I took of that little masterpiece, I could imagine myself savoring each bite. The plump yeast steamed bun encased a glistening slice of pork belly and a leaf of lettuce dabbed with a touch of Dijon mayonnaise. Simple and mouth-watering. I like to take my time at the table so I can etch it in my memory. Thus I was able to think about that Bao during the pause, knowing that one day I would be able to enjoy it again.
