Average sushi
Very average sushi at best. The place is a nice little building. The menu is not to crazy but the flavor is average. A bit pricy for the portions. Very attentive and friendly staff do their best! The ginger dressing is also unlike most other places, it is salty and very liquid. I would eat here again sure, but it would not be all the time.

The steamed pork gyoza and Thai spring rolls were delicious appetizers. So flavorful and tasty. The entrees included the habachi filet mignon with scallops and the habachi filet mignon with salmon were outstanding. The meat and fish were cooked perfectly with the sauce, browned rice, cooked vegetables and noodles were delicious.

We ordered several appetizers including the Thai spring rolls and Japanese crab Rangoon. We also shared several entrees including the shrimp and scallops hibachi and the filet mignon and salmon hibachi. So delicious and tasty.

This place is really easy to miss - it's tucked right behind (or in front of) Pitango bakery by the water. They have great outdoor seating overlooking the harbour, and cute indoor seating with traditional Japanese style tables. Food: - fried tofu for appetizer: this was really great and I would definitely get it the next time I'm back. - we tried a couple of their rolls (spicy tuna / sunshine etc). you get about 8 rolls per plate. I did think the price was reasonable - it all tasted really fresh and they don't overload the sushi with ingredients; the seafood still comes through very well. - yaki soba vegetable noodles: for $9 it's pretty decent. Would I go back? Yes!

If you like sushi, you’ll love this place! Small quaint atmosphere, nothing fancy. You had the option to take your shoes off and sit on cushions or sit at regular wooden tables/chairs.
The sushi is so fresh and tasty with so many choices. We got shrimp tempura and spicy crab! They also had other meat/fish options with noodle stir fry. Or a grilled option with white rice and vegetables.....and soups.
Overall, a very pleasant dining experience! Friendly staff with prompt service and fast delivery of food. If you go in the winter, layer up because it was a little cold in the restaurant (it sits right off the water)
A hidden gem!
Best sushi in Baltimore? Maybe...
Nanami is a small but choice sushi place. I've been many times, and had many wonderful dishes, especially on one occasion an entire fresh uni (sea urchin) served in a spectacular boat. The kitchen dishes are also good... some great tempura. But the sushi / sashimi is extra special.

As soon as I sat down I got a water and menu. The waitress was friendly polite and fast. The rolls were tasty and the iced green tea was awesome as well! And if you sit outside you’ll have a beautiful view.

This was our first visit to Nanami. We had a Groupon which made it very affordable. Small dining room & a little outside patio seating so reservations are a must. It is located right next door to Urban Pirates so we got to see a ship set sail (we have taken that tour & it's lots of fun). The restaurant is decorated with the different size sushi/sashimi boats up on a ledge on the wall. The tables are bare & have hard wood stools for seating. There are also a few Japanese style seats with cushions where you can sit cross legged or hang your feet down. Service was very prompt. Our order was presented with great pride & rightfully so as it was beautiful. We shared an avocado & shiitake roll ($6.00 for 8 pieces) which was delicious. Then I had the combo. tempura ($14.50) which came with 5 or 6 huge shrimp & more veggies than I could eat so I shared with spouse. The sweet potatoes were not sliced evenly so were a little undercooked at the thicker end. Spouse had the sushi sashimi combo. which arrived in a boat ($28). Prices are on par with the sushi restaurants near us. We would definitely visit again if in Fell's Pt. but we have good sushi restaurants closer to us.

Located in a historic neighborhood with cobblestone streets and many places to eat and drink. Touristy, congested and parking is usually not free. Service in this small place was exceptionally friendly and attentive. We found the maki that we ordered to be very good for the price. The hot items that we ordered (shrimp teriyaki and pork stir fry entrees) were good but not exceptional (especially for the price of the shrimp entree). We would return for the service and the maki.

Awesome choices of sushi and sashimi. Buckwheat noodles makes the stir fries that much better. Service was great and friendly.

This is a fantastic place for lunch in Fell's Point, with a lovely view of the water. We've had the sashimi lunch set quite a few times, and can't recommend it enough. The lunch sashimi combination is fresh, delicious and amazing value for money. Sit at the tatami tables by the windows to enjoy a view of the bay. We've not had any issues with the service, and definitely plan to return again very soon!

If I'm in town for more than a few hours, I start hatching schemes that enable me to eat lunch or dinner here. Their sushi is as good as sushi that I've paid literally twice as much for. If you are willing to order any of the platters where the chef makes the calls, you will be rewarded. I've eaten things that I had to ask what they were. And loved every bite. The dining room is pleasant, the service is attentive but not obtrusive, and the value is tremendous. I may eat at odd times but I've never been there and seen it crazy busy. And yet it's been around for a while. I'll keep coming back, that's for sure.

This is One of my favorite places. Great sushi, really fresh fish and the amazing dobin mushi soup. The shef's Sushi sashimi boat is perfect for sharing. The green tea and red bean Mochi ice cream are sooo good.
