The hotel is nice. It was clean and we only found 2 hairs in the shower. I stayed at the Marquis for one night after a night at the Conrad NY Downtown. There are no frills with this place, no robes, no slippers just a bed. They have refillable dispensers for shampoo and soap. Also the front desk is very comfortable not accommodating requests and saying NO or making you feel as though you inconvenienced them. All while not being good at their job. They desk agent asked for lots of info while not accurately noting my Bonvoy info so I had to spend time following up to resolve the matter. The good: Ample outlets at the desk station for you to plug up all of the equipment you may travel with if you’re teleworking. The room is spacious and you are able to spread out. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom is modern. The hotel is in the middle of Times Square and convenient to the theatre district. I did not hear any street noise in my room on the 23rd floor and the entrance wasn’t crowded with people. The bad: Marriott doesn’t recognize domestic partnerships. I made the reservation for our trip using my Bonvoy number and my partner (a titanium elite) was coming in later. They wouldn’t allow me to use his benefits until he arrived. Marriott should consider having the option of adding names to an account.
