Had a fun time with my friends !!! We got there when it was empty so it was a little slow at first but once it got late enough the vibes were there and there was a line to get in ! Our bartender Harkin was soooo sweet and made the best drinks but my fav was the espresso martini !! Would def come back to get another one and stay longer !
Be the first to ReplyDo not come here.
We waited 30min at the front of the line and the bouncer kept taking bribes. So unprofessional. Would never come back.

The bar and entrance are cute but it's been overrun by so many early twenties guys that it is literally not fun as a woman to be here anymore. I have been going out in Los Angeles for a while now and I have never experienced a man shoving me as hard as he could with both hands on purpose because he felt like I was "cutting at the bar". And security did nothing. This is a place for children. I was genuinely disgusted. Also the DJ is usually pretty ass but it fits the clientele I suppose. Don't think I'll come back or introduce anymore people to this spot.

Loved the speakeasy vibes and the bouncers were actually nice lol. It really felt like you were at a house party/frat party and there was plenty of space to dance/hangout in. I would give it 5 stars if the DJ last night was better. He's probably the DJ with one of the strangest playlist I've heard while clubbing. Esp on a Saturday night?? If it wasn't for the rain and us actually paying to get in (and other places charging $60 for cover?!), we would have left almost immediately. How do you go from Unwritten to B* Better Have My Money to Love In This Club to WAP to Don't Stop Believin?? I feel like most clubs play Don't Stop Believin at the end of the night just for lols and to kind of tell ppl it's the last song of the night.. but it was 1:20!! My friend even said "are they trying to push people out orrr??" Lmao. ANYWAY, besides all of that, it's still a cool place to go to and another friend who have been there a few times said the music is great usually so would prob end up here again one day

I just went for drinking and music, i loved the place and the Dj's selection, i'm a girl so i didn't wait that much but they still have priorities and maybe that's okay. The mini show in the entrace was soo cool
Be the first to ReplyI would give 5 stars if it wasn't for the bouncers.
Can be very difficult to get in if your not friends with the bouncer and/or not an attractive female, multiple times have had to wait over an hour. The place is great if you can get in.
Be the first to Replyso much fun at this hidden door speak easy kinda place.
It's like the victorian in santa monica, but better. better crowd. they have a small dance floor inside and a patio outside to talk and it's just a really cool big house.

It's a good club to create unforgettable memories with friends and have a truly enjoyable time. Each visit has been a pleasure, and I look forward to making more great memories on the dance floor!

An aesthetic, speakeasy-type bar tucked away near Hollywood Boulevard! It has a mysterious but casual ambiance that is super unique - I haven't seen else like it. When you first enter the venue, you go up the stairs into a room with a burlesque-dressed lady who sits on a bed. From there, you enter a secret passageway that leads to the bar and a garden out back! The drinks themselves weren't anything special and were slightly on the pricier side. Nonetheless, my friends and I had a great time and we'll be coming back again for the vibes!

It's like going to a frat party behind Hollywood Blvd but there's a gimmicky secret room to go through with a hidden staircase that no fraternity would ever have the money for. Early in the night, it was actually great: cool outdoor space and the bartenders were fantastic both with old classics and improvisational fruity things for my indecisive date. We found a spot to sit easily and after an hour or two melted away in our glasses, this place was packed to the gills, with a DJ running through a Spotify playlist of early 2000s hits, and then a brief burlesque show out on the patio (which while cringe-inducingly soundtracked by Lady Marmalade, was--I'm ashamed to admit--kind of fun.

Such a fun hidden place! It took me a second to figure out where it was lol, but it was totally worth it. Definitely a highlight of my Hollywood bar hop!
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely the heck not.
Never again in my life.My friend and I came here on a whim one Friday night after a magic show next door. We probably got in in the nick of time since it was a pretty short line and the bouncer let us and a couple of other girls in all at once. The "secret entrance" way was kinda fun, kinda gimmicky. (Ladies, if you're wearing high heels, be careful going down those stairs!) But it led us to a fairly large set of rooms with a lot of seating against the walls and then the outdoor space with more seating. It was pretty mild when we got in there so we ordered a few drinks and wandered around before a table opened up and we sat down at a tall table near a corner. That was our mistake because not even 20 minutes later, I see something move out of the corner of my eye.... Bruh, tell me why I turn to the wall and I see a effing cockroach the size of an index finger right next to my face?? Not going to lie, I screamed a little and abandoned my drink and my friend at the table. (Look, if the cockroach wanted my drink and it could lift my glass (which I am sure it could), I would absolutely let it. Free drink for the cockroach, no problem, lol.)I quickly came back to my senses tho and I went back to grab my drink and my friend who was staring at me in confusion. I took her away about 10 feet before I pointed out the behemoth of an insect slowly crawling its way up the wall and out of hell. She gasped in horror before we both looked at each other and placed our drinks back on the bar top and left to go sit in the car silently for 10 minutes. Needless to say, we went home after to shower and scrub that incident from our mind. Also, the photo booth was not working when we were there and when we left, there was a massive line waiting to get in. (I assume cockroaches get a free pass to the front. )But yeah, all in all, I absolutely will not be returning. Thank you, but no thank you.

Been coming here since 2018 and fell in love with this place! Whenever we were back in Cali with different friends who had never been we made sure we took them here. Went Jan of 2023. I've never been so disappointed. It felt like a college frat party. The DJ the people such a shame what it's became. Bring back the exclusivity, dark, burlesque shows speakeasy it was. The super young crowd and whoever allowed this place to become so mainstream and no longer a speakeasy suck. A speakeasy is for a certain crowd and this was the beauty of no vacancy. Hoping one day it returns to what it was.

Such a fun speakeasy!! No photos during the entrance and no other spoilers but this is the place where you enter a room and there's a burlesque-dressed lady that sits on a bed. There's a nice outdoor area that's amazing when the weathers nice out, and a dancing indoor area. However, someone stole a friends black blazer that was on one of the couches, so don't leave anything unattended!!

Great atmosphere, DJ is hit or miss, never coming back here because of the bouncers. Both times I went here I waited 45 min in line (one time getting a table, and still waiting over people that did not get a table), and people that had just come would get in. The last time we went we waited 1 hour and the people in our group said "we just got here!". come here if you want to wait and waste your time
Be the first to ReplyWell, okay.
I heard of this place, but never been until a connection decided to have their Xmas party here. Parking is already hell in this area, so I knew to prepare ahead of time. After paying at a meter for an hour, I walked from Whitley onto Hudson, where No Vacancy is hidden behind a green gate. When I first drove by, this was locked but since it was after 6p (specifically for this event), the gate was open about 4 feet so I could squeeze through. After getting past the doorman, I was instructed to go upstairs, where I encountered three doors on the left side. I could tell the girl who was behind me never been there either, so I had to explain the door situation to her (one of the three would be open on any given night). This was an interesting, but fun way to get to a bar for sure. There was a 'hostess' who greeted you once you selected the correct door and the bed she was sitting on retreated, revealing a staircase. My heels weren't too crazy about this, but it was the only way down. Although it's fairly large on the main floor, it was freezing due to how chilly it's been, and the doors were wide open entering the back-or was it front-patio where there was another enclosed bar and outdoor seating. This is where the live performances are if there are any. The photographs hung on the wall outside the restrooms were cool to check out as I waited for some time to pass so I could get out of there. I made my appearance, management saw me, had my tacos from the taco truck (this was only for an event, not a regular thing) so it was time to go. As I was leaving through the gate, some cars were starting to park there and I overheard a guy telling the driver it was $30. I don't feel too ripped off now spending $3 for an hour at a meter when I was only there less than 20 minutes. If this is your thing, you'll probably love it for what it is, as for me, I'm glad I visited No Vacancy, but I'm in no rush to return.

Coolest speakeasy yet! Highly recommended when your in the area. Very dark tho, drinks are ok. Service was good.
Be the first to ReplyOne of the better spots in Hollywood to enjoy cocktails.
Between 8pm-10:00pm for dates or chilling with friends.10:00pm and beyond for partying. Parking is a bit rough in this area of Hollywood though, so expect to pay $20-$30 and possibly a walk a block.

Almost every time I come to LA, I come here!So definitely haven't reviewed / checked in as often as I've actually come hereI love this spot. Came fairly late and lucked out in getting in, but my friends didn't. Wish there was a more organized way to get in. Got one drink and left, so short stay this timeDrinks we got were made by this bartender I'd meet a year ago! Super friendly and great mixologist! We gave him our presence and got 2 great drinks out of it.As always, I'll be back
Be the first to ReplyWow! What an amazing venue and so unsuspecting.
I'm an LA native and No Vacancy has been over my head until now. Originally home to Charlie Chaplin just north of Hollywood Boulevard, NV is a converted Victorian home tucked away adjacent to the valet parking in front of it. Going by here before, I thought the red, neon sign "No Vacancy" meant just that! But as an invited guest from a local, nonprofit radio station I help support for an acoustic set, I was all over it. Valet is $20 (convenience, baby). We walked right in, I gave my name and was set to explore a bit before the set. Topo Chico was complimentary at the bar but the bar was flowing and the lines were crazy long! The space was low lit, moody and dramatic yet felt like a "real home." The garden out back a real yard - it just included built in red booths around the perimeter of the yard facing a patio stage with cafe lights to make the mood glow. The yard was packed for the show. Standing room only to see the stage (don't get me wrong - guests still sat at the booths, but couldn't see). The sound was fantastic and makes you forget you're in the heart of Hollywood. I'd love to come back or even have an event here myself one day! Suffice to say, No Vacancy is on my radar!
