Nobelhart & Schmutzig Berlin Reviews
The definition of Farm to Table
Had an excellent meal and wine. This restaurant is the true definition of farm to table. They only use ingredients from nearby, thus no olive oil, lemon or chocolate because they are not grown in Germany. Highly recommend it for your one great meal i
A Unique and Quirky Dining Experience
This restaurant offers a truly distinctive and memorable experience. From the outside, it’s easy to overlook — the façade resembles a boutique or lingerie shop rather than a place to dine. The entrance is locked, and guests are required to ring
All story no substance, how does this soulless place have a Michelin star?!
I am quite frankly confused and feeling robbed of 600 Euro. Firstly, when we arrived outside the ‘trendy political’ front window, we had no clue it was a restaurant, you couldn’t see inside, no lights were on, the front door was locked and ther
An impressive restaurant atmosphere
It was a dining experience in an impressive restaurant atmosphere. The food was tasty and delicious. The service was excellent and the staff was professional.
Wonderful Dinner
My wife and I selected the restaurant in part on it sourcing local foods. Everything at the restaurant was fabulous. All the dishes and wine pairings were explained by the staff. The food was amazing. We especially loved the Barley/Beech Nuts/Basil d
Top Notch funky restaurant in Berlin
Concept of the N&S is great - they dishes are really good, but not "overprepared", rather interpretations are dynamic and funky. Staff was friendly, almost all had an opportunity to have a chat w me and talk about food and drinks. And I

Touristic trap, shame of our lovely Berlin, parody on Michelin-style restaurant, the lowest price-to-value experience in my whole life. You should be banned from practice cooking. 1. We've informed about gluten-free preference of my wife. You m
My original intent had been to dine at nearby Tim Raue.
As a party of one, I was hoping I could squeeze in without a reservation. No joy there. I asked them where to go and was told that Nobelhart & Schmutzig was a "one star" around the corner. Following Google maps I was confused as there
If you read some of the reviews on TripAdvisor or even
If you read some of the reviews on TripAdvisor or even yelp, they are brutal. People didn't like the food, nor the service. My experience was completely different. I am doing this review as I eat to properly document my experience. If you thin
Don’t buy into the hype: You can get a better (Michelin) bang for the buck elsewhere in Berlin
Yes, Nobelhart & Schmutzig is one of the (many) Michelin star restaurants in Berlin. And yes, it somehow made its way into the “top 50 restaurants” of the planet. However, after a six course dinner there, I wasn’t convinced that this place
Amazing food 5*, lacklustre service 3*
I once read an article in Vanity Fair about fine dining titled ‘Who are they cooking for?’, they being the owners of the hailed restaurants in the big western cities. That title sprung to mind immediately when visiting N&S. The food was abs
That there are other star restaurants
I found the ambience with the open kitchen very pleasant and it contributes to good service, as there is always someone there to serve guests. The regional concept is consistently followed and the visit is an overall result. The fatty schnitzel is re
A relaxing evening focused on tastes and aromas
We had dinner at the counter of this interesting restaurant which by choice offers cuisine that is as simple as it is refined, using exclusively Brandenburg products. The atmosphere is convivial and welcoming, maintaining a very high level of attenti
Pedestrian meal
We were looking for a Michelin star restaurant in Berlin to have a special dinner and we were greatly disappointed with the dishes served that evening. It was very pedestrian. The best part of the meal was the bread and butter. Main course was a chic
Not classy, not harsh, but fortunately not dirty either. Not worth a visit.
Luckily, I was an invited guest and didn't have to shell out the excessively high bill. It all started well: On the outside door there was a notice saying that AfD members were not welcome, and the welcome letter asked us to refrain from using our
Thoroughly Disappointing
The first surprise after entering was that a Michelin starred restaurant was only 30% occupied on a Friday night with what appeared to be exclusively tourists; but we would soon find out why. The place consists of a large windowless room with dim li

45 best restaurant on The World's 50 Best List, and a Michelin Guide Michelin Star restaurant. The only photos I took during the entire meal, which was a first for me. They have an old school photo ban. You're not allowed to take photos during serv
insanely expensive and very poor products
We visited on February 9th, dinner was very long and terrible! They fed us delicious bread and that’s it, the rest is simple village food and not worth that kind of money... We took the set for 225 euros - it turned out to be a serving of tiny port
Expectations were high, and so was disappointment....
A lot promised, price/performance ratio completely unacceptable, own microcosm, drink prices not transparent We travel a lot around the world and have rarely experienced something like this. You're happy to spend a little more money on good food, but
Don’t bother
Rarely post. Feel the need to do so. Average food. Poor service. Grossly overpriced. Will never recommend. Not to mention go back (obviously).
Amazing food relaxed environment
While tricky to find, once we had found the restaurant we were greeted by our host who was amazing throughout. Very friendly and approachable and went well and beyond to find a wine to my partners taste. The restaurant is split into two seating area
High price, low performance
Apart from the duck as the main course, everything was vegetarian. No fish, no meat, but expensive. You don't have to have it.
It's a gag but it's not funny
Completely agree with Murphy10000. It's a joke. The food is very ordinary but it is presented to you as if it were exceptional. The wine list is extensive and the sommelier is not bad. But the prices are totally overrated for poor quality food and w
The food is very good and very traditional.
The butter is absolutely incredible and the service is great. They can offer you great suggestions on wine parings as well. It's a very cool vibe.
Disappointing
Ridiculous = Aufgeblasen This restaurant has good food but has not grasped the concept of the customer being king. The wine list is bizarre. Organised by a madman it has no reference or stock to the great wines of the world and some of the wines it st
What a disaster
This is an easy review: everything was bad and disappointing. I would call it a total rip-off. And you feel they know it, feel proud about it and ridicule you if you try to address whatever topic that is bothering you. Food. 200€ set menu per pers
Very disappointing
Oh dear, where to start... Nice room, with a little over 20 covers all seated at a chef's table counter so you feel special already with your view straight into the kitchen. We were almost immediately told off for not reading the wine list in adv
Over-rated, over-priced and overall bad experience
Ate at this place with some friends. Food is interesting but not exciting, and one wonders how the Michelin star was acquired. Quite pricey for the 90% vegetarian meal. Service was good at the start, but not consistent throughout and was abrupt. The
You must eat here.
The end. Jk not the end! We sat at the long u-shaped counter and had an incredible experience and by the end of the night my friend and I were best friends with the three groups next to us (a couple and two solo ladies). FUN. The guy in charge has su

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Nobelhart & Schmutzig Berlin at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Nobelhart & Schmutzig Berlin page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
    1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* CandidReceipt32, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's $200 bid.
* CandidReceipt32 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to CandidReceipt32 for any questions Peter may have as CandidReceipt32 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* CandidReceipt32 now uses their connections at Nobelhart & Schmutzig Berlin to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If CandidReceipt32 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, CandidReceipt32 receives the $200 reward which is credited to CandidReceipt32's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Nobelhart & Schmutzig Berlin!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
