First of all, FANCY!!! The ambiance made me feel like I was
First of all, FANCY!!! The ambiance made me feel like I was an assassin waiting for my target, very nice and beautiful. All the service was fantastic. They were kind enough to ignore the fact that we looked like underage homeless tourists with 3 cents to our name. That really stuck out to me, they didn't treat us any different because we were young. The dessert was AMAZING. 18$ spent but it was worth it. The Chocolate Namelaka was fantastic. We devoured it. The rest of the food was great as well. The crispy rice was good but not something I would get again. The beef toban yaki was quite good though, and the sauce that it was marinated in was delicious. Sadly this place only gets 4 stars because the portion sizes were small. While I expect this from a upper class restaurant, I do wish that I didn't end up going home hungry. I would go again if I had more money to spend.
Be the first to ReplyFirst time to Nobu and for a birthday celebration.
The atmosphere and service was a 10/10. It is the perfect place for a special evening. However, the food knocks it down a star. I will say that the Japanese eel nigiri and salmon nigiri is probably the best I've ever had - no joke. The crispy tuna was also great. However, the shrimp tempura roll and rock shrimp were average at best. And the "mocktail" was straight mango juice - you'd think a mocktail at Nobu would at least have some flair. At Nobu, you go for the clout and the atmosphere and the food is just a bonus. A solid 4 stars.
Be the first to ReplyDon't let the prices fool you.
Nobu Fifty Seven is a tourist destination for sticky, sweet, saucy, pretend Japanese food battered and deep fried in dirty frier oil. The presentation is reminiscent of the Y2K "tapas" trend as is the overall ambiance of the place which screams "midtown"'! $44 for two wagyu tacos the size of 50 cents? Maybe I could've gotten into it if it were a mall restaurant in the Midwest w/ an extra seat for my Victoria Secret shopping bag but even then the cosmos wouldn't be strong enough.

Nobu was good! I loved the sushi more than the main entrees so I would highly recommend getting sushi and apps here! But overall great experience and great ambience!

I went for my 21st birthday a couple weeks ago and I loved this place. The food was delicious and the ambiance was really nice. I definitely plan on coming to Nobu more often. The service was also great. This place is exactly what you expect it to be. 10/10
Be the first to ReplyI had an exquisite dining experience at Nobu Fifty Seven!
I had an exquisite dining experience at Nobu Fifty Seven! The yellowtail was irresistibly delicious, showcasing the exceptional freshness of their fish. The service was both friendly and prompt, contributing to a perfect evening in our private section, shielded from the noise. The low lighting added to the intimate ambiance, and the selection of wines complemented the perfection of every dish. Highly recommend for a delightful culinary escape!
Be the first to Replythis hands down was the best food i've ever had.
the restaurant was dim and quiet. I went for my birthday and i can't imagine a better night. our server was kind and gave good suggestions.
Be the first to ReplyDon't park at Laz across the street, they damaged my car
Don't park at Laz across the street, they damaged my car and said they didn't. Came for lunch and enjoyed every minute! The service was on point, the presentation was spectacular, the taste was amazing. We had the lunch special which was so full of flavor and different textures it was more like a food adventure. First time here and would recommend to anyone looking for something different.
Be the first to ReplyNobu is best suited for business dinners or for
Nobu is best suited for business dinners or for celebrations, as the service and ambiance are phenomenal and luxurious, but the food leaves much to be desired. We came for a friend's birthday with a reservation for 4 people for dinner, and we were seated promptly. Drink orders were taken quickly and served just as fast, and the waitress offered suggestions for the number of dishes recommended for our party. Food-wise, the black cod with miso is a popular dish here so we had to try it. The texture was flaky, and flavor mild and pleasant. The squid "pasta" was also creative, with the squid cut and scored to the shape of pasta. The raw dishes, however, were lackluster (coming from an avid sushi eater). The tuna tartare was a textural nightmare. It was mush, and drowned in the wasabi/soy "sauce". It could have benefitted from being paired with some type of chip to add some texture to this baby food-esque mess. The toro & scallion roll ended our meal. There was nothing particularly wrong with it, but for $22, I've had toro rolls that were more fresh.
Be the first to ReplyThis isn't Nobu Malibu; not even close.
Even though the name is the same, the quality falls short. I don't get the hype around mediocre sushi. New Yorkers, you are getting conned. If you want to try real sushi, come to LA and make sure to visit Masa...
Be the first to ReplyI visited Nobu as part of a group corporate event for lunch.
It was funny because around lunchtime, it seemed like everyone was there for a corporate event! I got the signature bento box (~$85) and really appreciated the wide variety of food, which included their famous miso black cod. The sashimi was very fresh, and the fish was cooked well, still soft and succulent. I honestly did not finish the full bento because there was a lot of food. The service was fast and attentive. While I could definitely see myself coming here to celebrate a special occasion, it would be an understatement to say it would be hard to come here regularly given upscale pricing :)
Be the first to ReplyService is great! Stopped in for a quick bite.
The options are a bit limited so we tried a couple of different things on the menu. The food was good but there were too many flies. If you didn't eat quickly, it would get attacked by little flies. Kinda disappointing. Overall a good visit.
Be the first to ReplyThis place holds a very special place in my heart.
We have celebrated a number of special occasions here including birthdays, out of town visits from parents / siblings. As soon as you enter you are welcomed with smiling faces and friendly voices. The food is second to none. Absolutely love the black cold, crispy rice with avocado, yellowtail sashimi, vegetable tacos and lobster salad to name a few. The ambiance is always perfect and the crowd pleasant.
Be the first to Replyfood was so buss would fs recomend miso soup lol!!!
food was so buss would fs recomend miso soup lol!!! waiters are also superrrrr nice like the guy that opened the door love him anywyas kinda pricey but like it's nobu babes so pay up
Be the first to ReplyThis place is good but it's always packed so I don't think
This place is good but it's always packed so I don't think they try as hard as the one downtown, which is the one I usually go to... Always fresh food. Always good but when i order chef selection of sushi and sashimi platter, downtown really makes a beautiful presentation and garnishes and add cool things to the top like different row, and sauces. 67 just kind of gives some nicely presented fish, soy is your only option.
Be the first to ReplyEh... overall, I'd have to say the overall vibe at this
Eh... overall, I'd have to say the overall vibe at this Nobu is mid. Sorry not sorry. You hear all these great things about it, and while it seems like it feels special to be there because you hear of these celebrities having been... it wasn't it for me. The sushi is nothing special. It's delicious, yes, but you're paying for the brand and not the quality. There are definitely more places now that do crispy rice better. The ribeye was also just okay. Bento box? Get dessert at Spot, lolService is also a solid 3/5 for me. It feels like we didn't have a real server? More like a runner who told someone else to input the orders. At first, the drinks and crispy rice came out pretty quickly, then the sushi and ribeye, and even getting a small bowl of rice was like pulling teeth (we had to ask for rice 3x). Please do better!
Be the first to ReplyVery good, but very crowded.
Excellent service. Recommend yellowtail jalapeรฑo and black cod with miso.
Be the first to ReplyMy coworkers and I did a happy hour at Nobu since its right
My coworkers and I did a happy hour at Nobu since its right by our officeWe made a reservation and arrived at the time of it and were able to make it to the reservation in good time and had no issues. we were seated in the upstairs area. we immediately got to ordering drinks and were served our lychee martinis pretty quickly. for food we shared a bunch of things: edamame, crispy tuna, and sushi (fatty tuna and salmon and crab and vegetarian). per usual the nobu quality was so good and presentation was there. the brussel sprouts were one of my favorites. sushi was so fresh i could taste the qualityive been to this nobu and downtown and i gotta say i like downtown more. this nobu i felt like they were rushing people in and our we were asked to order food quickly so they could turnover our table - rude! but still would return to this nobu since im a sushi lover
Be the first to ReplyAmazing and yummy.

Be the first to ReplyThe expectation going to nobu is basically high end pf
The expectation going to nobu is basically high end pf chang but Japanese, but even that low bar was too much to hurdle here. FoodEvery appetizer sat half-submerged in a sticky suspension of some variety of yuzu ponzu soy concoction of course, but at the very least I expected the dishes themselves to be well-balanced. The sushi was probably the best part of the meal, and while the fish was relatively good, the rice was not. The hot dishes were also severe let-downs, overbattered, oversaturated, oversweetened, overdone. Even the vegetable tempura was disturbingly heavy and... Not flaky, lightly crispy, and aromatic. The best part of dinner was dessert, which is always depressing. The soba cha bar was legitimately outstanding though. ServiceThere were literally swarms of servers on the floor, and yet our server was extremely inconsistent. At times overbearing and incessantly interrupting us, at other times completely absent when we wanted him the most, this was an unnecessarily frustrating experience. At any given time the restaurant had at least one conglomeration of employees having a group pow wow chattering away, as nearby tables grew increasingly annoyed by the lack of attention and care. Too many idle staff results in a kind of aimless chaos all on its own in a sprawling restaurant space lit by 20 paltry candles. AmbienceLike the callous and overdressed dishes being served, the restaurant was basically a 500 table shouting match of people trying to declare how important and entertained they were. The rowdy and borderline classless atmosphere only emphasized just how shallow the entire restaurant and its food is. 1/10 nothing like forcing pretend japanese food down your throat while being enveloped by pretend people belting forced laughter. +1 for the bombass dessert.
Be the first to Replygood food, the interior's nice asked for a table with
good food, the interior's nice asked for a table with brighter lighting because i couldn't see anything and the server nicely re-seated us.
Be the first to ReplyNobu has always been on my radar to try .
.. you hear about it all the time and we finally caved and made reservations. We were definitely happy with our decision. From the second you walk in the ambiance is perfect . You get greater by double hosts who radio in to the hosts on the upper lever to confirm your table is ready , then you walk up stairs to get greeted by another host who then brings you to your table . Our waiter was really nice and explained the menu to us since it was our first time . We got the edamame to start which had a perfect amount of sea salt .. and for our main course my husband got the A1 wagu steak 5 oz which arrived on a sizzling rock which you can continue to cook your meat if you like and I got the skirt steak with the honey truffle sauce. Everything was perfect. We were so happy . It's a bit expensive so be prepared but it's worth every penny.
Be the first to ReplyGray evening.
Have not been to this location. Great ambiance. Nice decor. Very noisy and we could hardly hear each other at a table for 4! Dinner consisted of a variety of dishes. All washed down with a nice Puile fuisse and a bourgogne Pinot (misdiagnosed at first and replaced...). Dinner was as follows Black cod - exceptional. Flaky fish. Perfectly cooked Sticky rice tuna - interesting presentation with squares for rice And tunaYellowtail jalapeรฑo - high quality in a ponzuTuna tartare - same Edamame - crunchy and delicious Peppers sishito - nice and spicy Rolls tuna avosalmon belly tuna - three rolls. Very fresh and tasty Lobster tempura. Terrific taste. Great presentation Rock Shrimp - nice tempura. Great taste. Overall a terrific night I recommend this place.
Be the first to ReplyThree of us had dinner at Nobu on 57th st.
It was a wonderful dining experience. We shared an order of Wagyu dumplings which were delicious, if pricey. My wife had the lobster tacos which she loved. I had the rock shrimp tempura with ponzu which was excellent, and lots of it. We also shared the yellow tail jalapeรฑo which was very tasty. The service was attentive but never rushed. My only complaint, minor and not really related to the restaurant, was that a person was seated next to us wearing gym shorts, a t-shirt with writing on the front and a baseball cap. I suppose I'm just an old man but you'd think you'd be embarrassed to go to a quality restaurant dressed like a slob.
