Gino’s level of service is absolutely top notch. He was helpful, prompt and professional in all of his interactions with us and other guests at the hotel. We traveled with a large group of girls, many of who had not been to Chicago or stayed at a Nobu hotel before.
Bachelorette party
Nobu hotel was amazing for our bachelorette trip! True luxury. Make sure you meet Gino! He was a huge help during our stay. Customer service was top tier and beds were super comfortable. Make sure to get some sushi while you are staying there!
Perfect for food, views and relaxing!
Chataun and Emily were so sweet! Got us checked in early and ensured we had an extra fan in the room when the sun beamed in and it got warm. Everything was so clean and the views of the city were everything I could ask for. Although I was not able to use the steam room, the gym was fully equipped and a dip into our bathtub afterwards was perfect. Breakfast was very fast, i recommend the Nobu Toast and mango chia pudding. Chataun was sweet enough to recommend places for both fun and food and she was spot on! Everything is within walking or short driving distance so the location is ideal. This was our second couples stay at Nobu Chicago and it’s safe to stay we will continue returning!
Great time at nobu!
My husband and I, needed a parent’s “staycation” with a 4 and 2, year old, it’s been way over due. We wanted a hotel, that can give us an experience, while also needing some overdue rest. Juan, did exactly that! He was always available for us. Treated us like family, and made us feel so welcomed. His friendly and personable attitude, carried our experience to another level! Juan, is exceptional, but I must say, the friendliness and welcoming atttitude, must be one of the pillars, for nobu staff! They were all great! When we checked out, Juan asked us, about our children and to bring them next time! I was shocked, I told him “nobu” is not a place for children, that’s when I learned, that I was wrong, and just how he was accommodating to my husband and I, they are much experienced and welcoming to children. The rooftop bar and restaurant was also 10/10! Thank you Juan!
Best Weekend
Absolutely gorgeous hotel and an even better staff. Everyone there was top tier in their customer service but Juan really stood out. He had some amazing recommendations for nearby restaurants and bars and he didn’t steer us wrong at all. Nobu was a phenomenal hotel and I would stay here again and again.
Staff at Nobu Hotel
My trip to Chicago was made by the staff of Nobu Hotel! Chataun and ALL the staff at this fabulous hotel were absolutely wonderful. They were so helpful, friendly, and kind. You can tell they love what they do. I can't praise this hotel enough!
10/10 stay, would recommend
Hotel exceeded our expectations! We went to the rooftop for a drink before dinner and it was a vibe! The lychee martini was delicious and the DJ was playing great jams! Gino was great at the door and was super helpful with recommendations. We will be back!

Outstanding hotel with amazing staff (at every level) and delicious cuisine!!!
I recently came to Chicago to attend a concert and visit friends. I was told by a friend that Nobu was the place to stay, so I booked a few nights at the hotel. It was in a hopping area of the south loop and was close to the United Center. The hotel was quaint and up-scale but still felt homey. The staff was outstanding! I interacted with so many people in the hotel that went way above and beyond - the housekeeper from Cameroon (whose name I wish that I could remember), Michelle (Reservations Supervisor), Juan (front desk) and Savannah (bartender)...and so many more. I strongly recommend the hotel, even for a solo traveler like me, as I felt safe, at home and taken care during my entire stay. And, I would be remiss if I didn't mention how outstanding the Nobu restaurant is...I had the most epic meal there! All around a fun long weekend, and I now have a favorite place to stay when visiting Chicago. :-)
Staycation success!
My stay at the Nobu hotel in Chicago began with a warm welcoming from Juan and Chataun at the front desk. The hotel itself has a compelling sultry and an alluring feel to it. Upon my husbands and my arrival, Abel generously provided thoughtful amenities for us in our room. Our room was spacious and Nobu Hotel Chicago delighted us with its sophistication. The location of the hotel provided an array of bars and restaurants surrounding it. I am very pleased with the opening of this hotel and I am definitely looking forward to my next stay!

The hotel has such a cool vibe, very relaxing, clean and the Nobu team were very friendly and very helpful from the minute I arrived, Gino escorted me to my room with all my luggage and showed me all the amenities. I went for a workout walk/run and when I came back they had a cold bottle of water ready for me at the front desk. My boyfriend wanted to send flowers during my stay and Juan arrange to have lovely flowers sent to my room on behalf of my boyfriend and he told me how great and helpful Juan was. The location of the hotel was awesome several restaurants and bars within walking distance. The sushi restaurant was so delicious if you like fresh outstanding sushi Nobu will not disappoint! My over-all stay I would give a five stars out of 5 for sure.👍🏻

Service was amazing. Best experience ive had at a hotel. Beds were very comfortable. Very beautiful room and we had an amazing view of the city. The rooftop was a great experience as well. Drinks were amazing and enjoyable. The vibe was great too. We enjoyed our time there very much.

One of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had. Emily and Ashley at the front desk made my stay one of a kind and truly were the most accommodating and kind staff. The room was clean, quiet and spacious. The location is so great for restaurants, shopping and easy transportation. Everything about my stay was perfect.

Heather in the Nobu bar was amazing! She was friendly and fun and had recommendations on things to do nearby and was like a friend in the hour we spent there! She was so much fun and We absolutely loved her and she took such good care of us! Juan at the front desk was friendly and fun as well and very personable! I haven't even checked in yet, and I am disappointed.
My wife and I received a night stay at NOBU Chicago on 1/1/24 as a Christmas gift from our daughter. NOBU has a 72hr cancellation/change policy. My wife came down with COVID within the 72hr period. I called to see if an exception was possible to move our reservation to 1/14. Juan R, the front desk clerk, who answered the phone was useless. Basically, repeating the 72hr policy again and again. I have traveled extensively and stayed in all classes of hotels, and never dealt with a hotel that was wholly inflexible. They're not fully booked today, nor on the day we wanted to reschedule. Basically, Juan said, he had no authority to make an exception and that anyone who could consider an exception was not working today. The gist of his response and attitude was "you read the policy so why are you wasting my time. We ended the call with him, in the most disingenuous tone, wishing me a Happy New Year. Yeah right.

Beyond the nice latte's available in the restaurant and the generally helpful and well-meaning staff, I struggle to find another thing to commend about Nobu Hotel Chicago. While trendy, dark and minimalist in design throughout (as are other Nobu's we've stayed at) the Chicago iteration of the concept falls flat in may ways that are important to guests who are looking for more than atmosphere. For example, the rooms are also very dark and minimalist, to the extent that there are so few lights that you can barely see to read in the main area or shave in the bathroom. In addition, there are ZERO drawers to get organized and put away your belongings. I doubt that I am the only one who does not like to stay at a 5-star hotel and have to live out of my suitcase. Our first room did not have hot (or even warm) water in the bathroom, and the "engineer had not shown up for work that day; we insisted on getting a new room which was accommodated but had all of the minimalist flaws though at least had hot water. Both rooms suffered from excessive noise from the nearby elevated train periodically streaking past. Can we get a legit physical newspaper? Both days we asked, our request was forgotten and then ultimately unsatisfied. We have liked other Nobu's, but cannot recommend Chicago.
I was in the Midwest for an event where I was going to have
I was in the Midwest for an event where I was going to have to spend 2 nights in a dorm. So before I headed there, I needed to treat myself. This was an amazing experience from start to finish. First, the staff at the front desk were so pleasant and helpful. The room design was sophisticated and minimalist but had everything you needed from Dyson hair appliances to the most amazing truffle chocolates. I made reservations at the rooftop restaurant, which was great and so convenient! I would certainly stay here again next time I'm in Chicago.

Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
