Not disappointedโฆ
We dined here twiceโฆ 1st time we were seated outdoors and was recommended we try the tasting/pairing menu. We had very good service although a little slowโฆ but we were enjoying the ambiance, so each course came at kitchenโs pace. The second night we were more casual and elected to dine at sushi barโฆ the freshest sushi in yearsโฆ I donโt eat sushi unless I can see the ocean. Miso soup outstanding!! Not to missโฆ

Food presentation was quite appealing; fish was incredibly fresh; servers engaging and answered all our questions accurately about the food options, portions, etc. The setting is beautiful and everything was clean - absolutely perfect.

All fineโฆbut not great. Dining space fineโฆnot special. Service goodโฆnot great. Host stand could not seat us earlyโฆdespite only 3 other diners at that time. Very odd. Unsweetened iced tea was โfunkyโ- either old pitcher or unclean dispenser. Delicious lobster salad! Professional bartender!

Nobu is outstanding, excellent service and impeccable , very professional. Food was amazing. Of course the view, the ambiance, you are in a place quite being in the tropic, outdoor experience. Must eat toro sushi, and toro tartare. If you have time eat in the counter. Love it.

As always with Nobuโs around the world, the quality of the ingredients was phenomenal. What differentiates Nobu locations from each other is ambiance, service and execution. The service was friendly and professional. The food was excellent. The views were great. It was a little warm but thereโs only so much you can control that with a restaurant that is outdoors.
Be the first to ReplyEnd your day on a private island with NoBu. It does not get better than this. Love it!
Lanai is already a special place with the beautiful Four Seasons Manale Bay hotel. The gorgeous views. The dolphins. The beach. The pool. And then you top off your day at NoBu. It really does not get better than this. We went three nights and went through most everything on the menu. Most favorite spot in hawaii

Cecilia was our server for a dinner during a 4 day stay at the Four Seasons. The food was spectacular to look at as well as to eat! She shared every single detail about every single ingredient and steered us in great directions when we couldn't decide. The restaurant, really the whole lobby/property was so quiet which was a delightful change from mainland restaurants.
Be the first to ReplySolid resort dining experience
For a fine Japanese dining establishment, this place was acceptable. The food was good and interesting, and the staff was friendly, but it lacked the wow factor to get a 5-star review.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent place for a lovely breakfast in beautifuly surroundings
The food for breakfast was very good, very fresh and very plentiful. And the views out the windows (floor to ceiling) are just beautiful!
Be the first to ReplyDelicious fresh meals
The food was outstanding and fresh! The atmosphere was pretty good the seating could have been a little more comfortable. The staff wasn't overly friendly a little too stiff for me... I prefer some personality in wait staff. Over all TERRIFIC!
Be the first to ReplyYou could go back every night. Food is Amazing
Nobu Beach. I recommend sit at the bar. Meet new friends. Have a drink. And order food from Nobu. Such as the bar b q ribs. Waguy sliders. And edamame. Itโs really a beautiful blend of cuisine. Smiles. And incredible views.
Be the first to ReplyLoud, poor service, formulaic food
Dined earlier this week, and very disappointed. Service was poor (wait staff not well trained, clearly instructed to recommend patrons order way too much food, charged us for wrong bottle of wine then took 3 tries and 20 minutes to straighten it out), very loud thumping music was perhaps suitable for Las Vegas but not Lanai, food is formulaic and much of it is pre-prepared, extremely disjointed and confusing menu, sushi was good but super expensive and not as good as my neighborhood sushi places at home). Told hostess and waiter we were celebrating two birthdays, yet they did nothing to acknowledge that.

We were, and still are, guests at the Four Seasons Lanai over the Christmas and New Yearโs holidays 2021 into 2022. Tonight, I sit eating my Nobu dinner in the hotel lobby with literally deafening music coming from an upstairs restaurant. Unable to have a conversation. I am sure the food will be tasty but there is no ambiance and paying Nobu prices. Not what I expected of either Four Seasons or Nobu. I am already dreading New Years Eve dinner.

What a special evening! we loved the selection of fine meat and fish. An amazing dinner experience! Looking forward to our next Nobu encounter...
Be the first to ReplyWARNING: DO NOT TRUST NOBU @ THE FOUR SEASONS!!
TLDR: Booked a trip to Lana'i just to go to Nobu and they canceled our reservation the day before our dinner. Girlfriend's birthday was effectively ruined. Do not trust them, they will not honor your reservations nor try to rectify the problem. Here's the full story - I have been dating my girlfriend for about a year, and I wanted to celebrate her birthday with her in a special way for our first time together. Her favorite restaurant is Nobu. We also had picked out a few travel destinations, and Hawaii was on that list. Perfect. Let's go to the one in Lana'i. I made the reservation at Nobu and called to confirm it was good before even booking the tickets to Hawaii (we live in California). I even called the restaurant a week before our flight took off to confirm our reservation was good. We were "all set". Lana'i is a nice island, but certainly unless you're going to the Four Seasons (and I'm not operating on that budget), it probably doesn't make sense to stay for more than a day. We stayed there three nights with the belief that our Nobu reservation was on a Friday night, and then we'd leave on the ferry the next morning to go Maui. Upon arrival in Lana'i, our shuttle driver informed us that only people staying at the Four Seasons were permitted on their grounds (and since Nobu is on Four Seasons turf, no one could go there). We called now for the THIRD TIME to confirm, and the day before our dinner, they said they would be canceling our reservation. The reason was for the past 3-4 weeks, they had changed their policy to only have Four Seasons guests on campus. That's fine, but why didn't anyone tell me in advance? We could have made other accommodations, and certainly staying in Lana'i for 3 nights would have been the principal one of them. Given enough advance notice, we may have chosen a different travel destination completely. With only a day in advance of the first birthday of hers we were sharing together, my girlfriend and I were now limited to about 4 restaurants in downtown Lana'i (most of which were already at capacity for the night). I asked what they could do to correct their error. They had no idea. I then followed up with them asking for a dinner at Nobu to be taken care of by Four Seasons. They countered by offering a bottle of champagne, and then later offering a dinner at the Four Seasons (no alcohol). Both of those I refused, because again, my girlfriend was looking to go to Nobu, NOT the Four Seasons. I have followed up multiple times with multiple people and have not received a response for weeks. Just flat out ignored. So much for their famous "customer service".
