Had the most amazing time at Nobu with my girls! We sat outside on the patio and the service was very fast and friendly. This was my first time at Nobu so i waited til a special occasion (my birthday)!! All the food was delicious, my favorites were the lobster and spicy tuna crispy rice! We ordered a large variety of items to share - which i personally think is the way to go! Our waiters were very attentive and even brought out two free birthday desserts for me. Thanks for the great celebration Nobu! We will be back again once our wallets recover.

3/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Patrick S. on 09/16/2025

TLDR: don't try the omakase I want to start that I had the omakase experience and will provide a review for that and for the overall experience at the restaurant. I would not recommend this experience or place to a friend or family. I have had sushi from several restaurants, A5 Wagyu, and Japanese desserts, and I have to say I left disappointed. Not only was the food mediocre, I sometimes felt I had to finish it to justify the price. Now for the price, the $200 omakase is not cheap by most standards. I felt like I could have received quality items from other restaurants for a lot less. Meaning at this point I am paying for the brand and experience. Unlike other omakase, there was no interaction with the chef, nor sufficient detail of the ingredients and why they were chosen for this experience. Fine, I guess I can at least enjoy the ambiance. I had outdoor seating next to the garden which was really nice. I enjoyed the feeling and beauty of the garden and I felt it added to the meal. However I probably could have had the same view for a lot less. Save your 200, enjoy a local sushi shop and eat to your hearts content, or at least 200 dollars worth of food. You can walk by the restaurant to see the beautiful garden if you must. I will be trying the Malibu location to get a different feel, perhaps the DC location as well. Staff was very professional and on top of all the ingredients in regard to allergies, they provided prompt service and am overall happy with them.

Went to Nobu but was quiet disappointed.

2/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Hope A. on 09/15/2025

The restaurant is not Japanese! The staff including the chefs were 98 percent Chinese. The food was nothing fantasy. It was mediocre at best. They charge an arm and a leg for just a normal bite. The quality of the food was not outstanding and therefore the prices were outrages. For someone who has eaten in Japan I was quiet dismayed. The staff are mostly rude. We got a gift card for this restaurant and decided to make a reservation for 3 adults and a kid. The restaurant gave us a 1:45 PM reservation. They also need a credit card and if you don't show they will charge it. They told us that the kitchen would close at 2:30 PM. That would have given us enough time to eat! I called to see if we could go earlier but was rudely told they could not accommodate it. We showed up earlier anyway and they finally agreed to sit us. The waiter was rude and impatient. The ambiance was very average. Nothing extraordinary. It cost us $600 with no alcohol. Would not eat there again. I guess the only reason they charge these exorbitant prices with just average food and a lot of attitude is because they are a lot of newly rich people in the Bay Area. They go there to show off and don't really care about the quality of the food or service.

Came here for a summer dinner with some friends.

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Ruby Z. on 09/08/2025

Nice location close to downtown Palo Alto, with indoor, outdoor, and garden seating. We were on the patio this time, but I came another time with friends and we were sat in their garden - it's lovely! We asked our server for some recommendations and he suggested a few apps to share and the main special - the bone in ribeye. It was cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious. The yellowtail app was also one of my favorites, elevating the usual yellowtail jalapeno you get at other restaurants. Kylie was also one of the assistants helping our table and she was super efficient and friendly! The desserts were fun and perfect for summer. Overall, a great visit, but definitely a splurge! Worth it if you're looking for some truly fresh, delicious sashimi and fun inventive twists on Japanese cuisine.

Giving Nobu 3 stars.

3/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Kaitlyn B. on 09/08/2025

The atmosphere was great, our food came out quickly, and our server was genuinely kind and attentive, which made the experience pleasant overall. That said, I was disappointed with a couple of things. The rock shrimp tempura, which is usually a favorite, came out cold. For a restaurant with Nobu's reputation, I expected it to be hot and crisp. I also asked about lobster tempura, but they didn't have it, which was a letdown. While nothing was terrible, I felt the quality didn't fully match the price point. Nobu is known for excellence, and I was hoping for a bit more consistency.

The restaurant is attached to a hotel so it's definitely a different vibe than the other Nobu locations we've been to. My only complaint was that the restaurant is extremely small so the tables are very close together. We met a lot of nice people while waiting for our table! Our server was friendly and knew a ton about the different food options.

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Tom H. on 08/20/2025

Dinner at Nobu Palo Alto was everything I hoped for and more. From start to finish, the experience felt polished but never pretentious. The space is sleek and calming and the service was genuinely warm and attentive without trying too hard. We started with the Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeรฑo which is a classic for good reason. The fish was fresh and delicate and the thin slice of jalapeรฑo added just the right amount of heat and brightness. A strong opener. Next was the Whitefish with Arugula and Jalapeรฑo Dressing which might have been the sleeper hit of the night. The peppery arugula paired beautifully with the clean whitefish and the dressing tied everything together with a spicy citrus punch. Light but full of flavor. The King Crab Tacos were fun and satisfying. Each bite had that perfect contrast between the crisp taco shell and the soft sweet crab inside. Definitely easy to devour. Of course we had to try the Black Cod with Miso. It was silky buttery and deeply savory. This dish always lives up to its reputation and it did not disappoint here. We also had the Lobster with Spicy Garlic Sauce which brought some bold flavor to the table. The lobster was perfectly cooked and the sauce had a rich garlicky heat that made every bite craveable. For dessert we shared the Bento Box which came with matcha gelato a warm chocolate soufflรฉ and fresh berries. It was rich comforting and balanced by the earthy coolness of the gelato. The Zen Garden Panna Cotta was beautifully plated and surprisingly refreshing with a smooth creamy texture and subtle flavors that let the meal end on a light elegant note. Overall this was a five star experience. The food is refined but exciting and the service was exactly what you want at a restaurant like this.

1/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Firuze F. on 08/18/2025

We went to Nobu Palo Alto last Friday to celebrate our daughter 21st birthday since Nobu is my daughter's favorite restaurant. We have dined at this location many times and a few times at SoCal locations. We always have had a great experience dining in any Nobu locations. This time a very nice host sat us in our table and we waited for our waiter to show up. Gill, our waiter showed up after 10 minutes, with a drink menu on his hands and started introducing Nobu's special drinks without introducing himself and welcoming us just like a robot. We ordered our drinks followed by our appetizers and our food. Each dish came to our table with different servers and barely we could see him around. My daughter is gluten sensitive so she asked if they have Gluten free batter for shrimp tempura as they have it in Nobu Malibu location and our waiter said yes. after latterly 10 minutes Gill came back to our table and he informed us they didn't have gluten free batter in this location which is understandable. But what we did not understand was It took 10 minutes to check with the kitchen. He did not even bring the menu back for my daughter to replace another item. All the food came and we all finished eating but still my daughter's main dish which was sizzling tofu, did not show up on our table. Meanwhile, my husband asked for his drink refill, and a menu to order another item. over 10 minutes passed by, and no refill for drink and no menu. Every time Gill came to our table, he gave us a feeling that he is doing us a favor serving us. By the time he brought our daughter's food, she was full and she had no appetite to eat. When he brought our daughter food, my husband told him where is my drink, and where is the menu that I asked you 10 minutes ago? Instead of apologizing with a very rude tone he said "do you still want the menu"? and HE DID NOT OPEN HIS MOUTH TO APPLOLOGIZE AT ALL. My husband who was now so mad for his attitude, got up from the table to find the manager. Meanwhile my husband was talking with the manger on the other side of the restaurant, he brought my husband's drink and smack it on the table. He was the rudest waiter I have ever seen in my life at an almost 5 star restaurant. Forget about my daughter 21st special birthday, he made us so uncomfortable from the beginning till the end. My husband came back to the table with the manager and the manager calmly said okay I will go and talk to him. He said he is bringing dessert for my daughter. Are you kidding me? your staff smacked the cup on the table and you are talking about dessert? I asked him to bring the check since I couldn't even breathe on that restaurant. He made us all so uncomfortable. I insisted for the check to just pay and get out of there. He brought the check and said he discounted 50% and he did not count the drinks. We were not there for discount and this was not our first time dining there. We picked Nobu because we wanted celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday there. We expected them to make our daughter feeling special. Not that they did not make my daughter feel special, they made her and us so very uncomfortable and feeling unwelcome. I am writing this review with a broken heart because we all love the food there and Nobu was the place for our family to celebrate most of our happy times. I guess not anymore.

Luxury Price, Motel Curtains

2/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Andy W on 06/17/2025

I had high expectations for NOBU, but was very disappointed by a basic design flaw in the room: the drapes donโ€™t fully cover the windows, leaving a large gap between the drapes and the wall. As a result, the room was flooded with light by 6 AM every morning. For a hotel at this price point, proper blackout functionality should be standard. Unfortunately, this made restful sleep impossible. Would not recommend for light-sensitive travelers.

Nobu should not be in the hotel business

1/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @peggy b on 06/01/2025

I realize that it is an American/California issue more than anything. For the price, the hotel and the service is -1 star at best. The hotel lobbies and elevator smell like fish from the sushi; the gym is not a gym for people who like to do non-cardio workouts; the breakfast service was mediocre-took 35 minutes for a capaccino (the breakfast itself was good) and the staff was lacking; the room service breakfast was missing the coffees because the staff couldn't be bothered to turn the door order form over-and then the "manager" delivered (40 minutes later) cold incorrect drinks and made a point to say "complimentary"; the room provides an espresso machine but for a Japanese themed hotel, I would have expected a green tea offering; No pool and a very small "garden" area with no umbrellas; the maid service never came till we called at 2 PM and the turn down never showed up; and last but not least, no bell service to help with our many bags and the car took an hour to arrive for our departure....In summary, skip it, you can do better.

Very relaxing Stay

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @MsHellfire on 11/02/2024

I was only in a basic category room but still felt like I was getting a luxury experience. Breakfast was painstakingly slow even though there were very few guests at any one time. I also think the hotel needs to put up a sign at the host stand inviting guests into the restaurant at breakfast time as too many end up standing outside unnecessarily thinking that the host is away and they'll be tended too soon enough when in fact there isn't a host coming at the breakfast period. I was disappointed that there wasn't a spa to better foster my relaxing experience and would suggest offering massages at the minimum as something to consider. I thought the food overall was pretty decent at the in-house restaurant however bar staff in particular at both the restaurant and the separate bar area need to be conscious of the appropriateness of the content of their conversations that are within earshot of patrons.

3/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Sharon C. on 07/22/2024

Don't come with the expectations of being full as the portions of Nobu are what is expected for a high class Japanese restaurant. They do offer an excellent dining experience with amazing presentations to their food. We went for dinner and we got the earliest reservations as I saw that they have slots for the hour. One thing they mention when you do go, is that they will need the table back an hour and 45 mins for the next slot of reservations. The food was very good but portions are smaller than regular sized food. The price is also similar to what you would expect for a sophisticated restaurant. Definitely a place for special occasion as the atmosphere was very elegant and sophisticated, while most were dressed for the occasion. The food that we ordered: Tai Agave (5/5): very fresh and great pairings with garnish they place on tip Brussel Sprouts (3/5): sauce was overpowering as the taste could get a little heavy Rock Shrimp Ceviche (4/5): great appetizer to start with as it has bursting citrus flavors Wagyu Tacos (3/5): meat was very tender and juicy but for the price to size I would not order again NY Steak (5/5): cooked rare medium, sauce was amazing and the portion was great! Toro & Scallion Roll (3/5): nothing really too special, a bit overpriced if you ask me Bento Box Dessert (4/5): from pictures it looked a little bland but the matcha gelato was to die for! Xurro (3/5): I didn't really like it as the strawberry filling was a bit too sweet for me

We got the yellowtail sashimi jalapeno, wagyu tacos, rockshrimp tempura, soft shell crab roll, and house special roll. Everything was super fresh. Wagyu melted in the mouth and was my favorite. Both sushi rolls looked beautiful and you could taste the simplicity and freshness of the ingredients. Rockshrimp tempura was crispy and not overly oily. Room was super comfortable and quiet with cool shades and settings to get the right lighting. Internet was fast. Only complaint was the sub par (and overheated) gym - minor but they could do better. Restaurant was great too. I'd throw in a few sparkling waters for free for the price as a suggestion - annoying to get charged at the minibar after paying over 800 a night.

Had a chance to visit Nobu for a friend's birthday and overall it was an okay experience. Given how famous Nobu is I was excited to try it, and worth trying once if you want the experience. This place is certainly fancy and ambiance was nice. Service was also top notch and folks did come back to check in on us multiple times. Once we were seated of course I was excited to try the food. We tried: * yellowtail sashimi - this was delicious and buttery, you could tell the fish was really fresh *Salmon sashimi - this came with a really yummy sauce that I really enjoyed *mushroom soup - this was light and refreshing but nothing spectacular * rock shrimp tempura with aioli sauce - this was yummy and the quality of shrimp was good. However nothing I haven't had before * miso cod - this was really yummy and well made, everyone enjoyed this * seabass tacos - these were extremely small but they were tasty, but I wouldn't say worth $10/taco * strip steak with veggies - this was really yummy and well made, our group gobbled this up! * brussel sprouts - this was yummy and enjoyed how crispy they were *shrimp tempura roll - this was yummy and standard, enjoyed this though *chocolate cake with matcha ice cream - this was yummy and there was gooey chocolate coming out of the cake which made it fun. Matcha ice cream had strong flavor so get if you enjoy matcha Overall decent experience!

I was referred to Nobu in Las Vegas.

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Dom N. on 03/05/2024

I just never went, until now. The original Iron Chef Japan, Masaharu Morimoto was an apprentice in New York under Nobu Matsuhisa. And I know Morimoto is currently at Morimoto Napa right now. I'm aware, that some people out there from New Jersey flew to Vegas for a week to be at Morimoto Las Vegas. I liked some of the movies from Robert De Niro. Everybody knows about the Nobu at Caesars Palace. Since I'm catching up on a lot of work here, I wanted to get a reservation in Palo Alto. I didn't know reservations required a bank card or credit card and a charge incur for no-shows. I used a debit card this time, and it went through. There's nothing inexpensive about this business lunch. It's on another echelon. I always wanted to be here. I wouldn't take just anybody here. I must say the neighborhood is quite good. I didn't think some angel investors would frequent here, but they do. This is my first time here. It was somewhat tight in there again. I know omakase is the newest trend, but I like to choose my selection. I started out with their famous Black Cod with Miso. Then I went in with the nigiri. Bigeye Tuna, Fluke, Snapper, Ikura, and Tamago. The Tamago was like a cloud, perfectly executed. Now this is a sushi spread. Can't forget about dessert. Bento Box. Valrhona Dark Chocolate Souffle Cake, Imperial Matcha Gelato, and Fresh Berries. That Souffle was the best Souffle I ever had. I also knew I had to get the Black Orchid Tea, it had a very distinct floral note. Everything was spectacular. This definitely not going to be my last time here.

I've always wanted to try Nobu and I finally decided to try

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Nena M. on 02/26/2024

I've always wanted to try Nobu and I finally decided to try it for my birthday dinner. The service was beyond perfect. Andy was our waiter and he was very attentive the entire night and wow the presentation of the menu on his behalf was impressive especially because it was our first visit here. Marcos was also very attentive with removing plates and making room for other dishes, our water glasses were never empty! I do have to say that I am very thankful for Curtis for making my birthday night extra special with the amazing drinks! Thank you Nobu Palo Alto, we will definitely be back again! Can't wait to rave about you to fam and friends! Lyz

Phenomenal experience at Nobu Palo Alto! Fantastic FOH team.

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Hunter O. on 02/25/2024

Really wish I remembered our servers name. He was amazing! As were the runners and gal who reset the table after a few courses had come through. Very accommodating after making a mistake on my part thinking my reservation was at 5:30 and arriving at 5:35, found out they were for 5pm. Thank you and sorry to the foh manager on that night that accepted us still! Lychee elderflower Martini! Not a martini guy. But this right here was amazing! Big shout out to the kitchen team! Chef Ryan, Marcus, Rahul, and John! This place is a wonderfully run operation from the curb to the foh and boh teams. You can really sense a special camaraderie happening here, be it you catch them before a service is due to begin to a fully packed floor , this whole team works with such beautiful chemistry and to watch that flow and see their success is something special everyone should experience at least once in a lifetime. Cheers to you Nobu Palo Alto! And here's to many more times we will spend together!

Back to the four seasons !!!

2/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Santa Monica advisor on 09/21/2023

Not as good as the restaurant! Check in they had the wrong room class. And the wrong length of stay. Waited two hours for them to fix. Then, no electric plugs near the bed. I have a sleep apnea machine that needs a plug! So have to ask for an extension cord. Wait for that. Then install it. It will run from the far side of the room to power the sleep machine. Hope I donโ€™t trip on it in the night! NOT a premium place. Although the staff are very nice.

they ignore โ€œdo not disturbโ€ sign

1/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @cobra_commander on 08/24/2023

i got a late checkout extended and stuck โ€œdo not disturbโ€ sign on the door. 30 minutes after normal checkout time, housekeeper knocks loudly, opens the door, and asks me what time i am checking out right in the middle of my zoom meeting. wtf? this hotel does not deserve such great reviews when they cannot even observe a simple โ€œdo not disturbโ€ sign.

Very disappointing.

1/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Bat on 08/08/2023

Stayed in the Zen Suite. The carpeting was totally stained. Quite disgusting. Our door to the patio wouldnโ€™t close all the way. There were hardly any drawers to put your clothes in. The bathroom was very small. This was an expensive suite. I could go on, but I think Iโ€™ve said enough.

Service really really sucks

1/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Noom Dara on 06/19/2023

The supposed 5 stars hotel did not provide laundry service. The concierge just stated that the contracted laundry shop closed down and so no service. No back up plans at all. Had lunch at their Nobu restaurant. A pot of tea took 40 minutes. No water service provided. Tea came after repeated complaints to the waiter. Food was even slower - ordered a few sushi dishes and a wagu beef rice dish. After 40+ minutes of waiting I asked to speak to the manager. The staffs all ignored my request. I had to spot him out and asked if he was the restaurant manager to complain. First and last time staying here ever. Donโ€™t recommend anyone to stay here. Expensive and very poor service.

Awful Experience - Avoid if you want what you booked, appreciate honesty and customer service, and like Wifi

2/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @SheSheTraveler on 06/12/2023

Avoid if possible. First, Wifi isn't working. It's a known problem. I'm on a business trip and need to use my phone as a hotspot for any work I need to do. I booked a king room. Walked into 2 doubles. When I called down, I was told it's what I booked. I looked at my email reservation - I did in fact book a king. When I called again I was told they oversold tonight so they put me into a double. So I guess the first time the lied and tried to pretend it was my mistake. When I asked to be switched the next day, they said I can talk to someone tomorrow (while I'm at work?) and see what happens. What was I offered for this issue? Nothing. Barely an apology. A gaslight and then an unwillingness to remedy in any way. When I pointed out they were still booking King beds for the night online direct through their site, they said those people would be put in double rooms. When I explained that if they know that it's misrepresentation and false advertising, they did not seem to care. I won't make this mistake again - plenty of nice hotels around here.

Great hotel in downtown Palo Alto

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Tour530236 on 05/11/2023

We considered staying at the Four Seasons, but I then noticed that Nobu Hotel was half the price. I would venture to say that it rivals the Four Seasons in every way. The finishes and Japanese touches were incredible. I grew up in Japan and it made me feel very reminiscent! Lots of little things that make a big difference - fabulous location, comfy bed, nice towels, ukata (bathrobe) and slippers, amazing fancy toilet, sliding doors to balcony that you can open and get fresh air, good in room coffee, etc. Also the fantastic Nobu restaurant right downstairs. If youโ€™re looking to stay in Palo Alto, look no further than Nobu Hotel.

Great Customer Service

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Suzanne on 04/17/2023

An executive assistant here and book this hotel for my executives. Other hotels around Palo Alto are in desperate need of upgrades and can often be disappointing at the price point. Nobu is clean, modern design, busy hotel bar and great staff. The customer service has always been top notch. DJ Jordan, especially, at the front desk goes above and beyond. DJ helped me in last minute requests such as change/extend reservations, email past folio receipts and answer questions. All done with professionalism, kindness and attention to detail. Cant thank DJ enough and highly recommend this hotel!

An overdue review for.

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Mallory W. on 03/25/2023

.. My favorite restaurant ever! We celebrated my boyfriend's birthday here (it was his first time going) and we went all out. Yes, the bill is hefty--but we were celebrating! We spent (with tip): $491.99, so hopefully everyone knows what they're getting themselves into. As you can tell from the business name--yes it is attached to a Nobu hotel. The ambiance is out of this world! To fit with the Silicon Valley feel, it is where Japanese art meets modern, and the space feels very open, modern, and overall very clean. I know I have to stay at the hotel at some point, but the restaurant is the main focus--always! The server asked if there were any allergies at the table, and my boyfriend is actually allergic to most fish except salmon. Despite this, our server was super accommodating and there's still a wide variety of options if you have a fish allergy! However, if I come here again without my boyfriend--I have to have the black cod with miso again. So yummy! What we ordered: Rock Shrimp tempura with Creamy Spicy Sauce, Jidori Chicken Donburi, some type of salmon roll (special order; recommendation from the server), A5 wagyu, Malibu burgers, Lobster Ceviche, Wagyu tacos, some type of Salmon Sashimi, Lychee & Elderflower Martini, and some other alcoholic drink (my boyfriend got it, I cannot remember for the life of me, sorry!) What we won't get again: Jidori Chicken Donburi and Lobster Ceviche. Hard pass! The donburi dish was mostly a huge bed of rice, not quite worth the cost. The lobster ceviche was very small, and came with a whole cherry tomato and raw onions which aren't my favorite. I felt like I wasn't getting my money's worth on these items. They were decent, but maybe not for my tastebuds or wallet. What we will get again: EVERYTHING ELSE! (Hopefully + the black cod miso, but only for me! LOL) Holy cow! You really cannot go wrong with the Rock Shrimp Tempura, and the A5 Wagyu show with the flame is such a treat. Perfectly cooked, and you don't need a huge portion of meat to really savor it. Even the A5 wagyu tacos--they're tiny, but oh so good! I feel like the attention to the flavors and portions makes for such a wonderful experience. This being my second time here, I leave feeling perfectly full and not overly stuffed. The craziest part about this restaurant? You almost don't want to eat anything afterwards because the meal is so good and satisfying here. I feel like there is something on the menu for everyone, which makes this place very special. In fact, I saw Grandparents with their grandchildren here--and they looked like they were enjoying everything. Nobu, you are truly a special restaurant! I need to be back here. I love the area and the overall vibe this restaurant has to offer.

It pains me to write this review, but after 3 visits that

1/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Pepper P. on 03/23/2023

It pains me to write this review, but after 3 visits that failed to meet expectations, I feel I must. Not to warn other diners of the many mishaps that occurred, but to send a wake up call to the management at Nobu Palo Alto. We have dined at Nobu restaurants from Malibu to Chicago with each visit meeting or exceeding expectations. Sadly, tonight was our third failed attempt after many wonderful meals there. It was the "let's try it again" visit with hopes of things being improved, you know, the one that would have us coming back for more. Sadly, this may be our last. One of our family members has a very specific allergy and one does not eat raw. Because of these dietary issues, we order separately and are unable to dine Nobu family style. In the past, this has never been a problem at any Nobu location. The past two visits, the non raw eater has had to wait up to 20 additional minutes for his meal to arrive while the rest of our party sits there and waits. Tonight, the non raw eater again had to wait 25 minutes for his beef dish. Once the beef entree was brought to the table, the dish was cold and over cooked. The temperature requested for the beef dish was medium. The beef was cooked through, barely was it even pink. Tonight was actually a quiet birthday celebration, I did not complain about my very expensive uni from Hokkaido Japan arriving at the table at an undesirable temperature, soggy seaweed wrap, and congealed. This was rather disappointing as it is usually worth the high price. While it seems things are not quite right in the kitchen, it is management who may be at the root of the problem in Palo Alto. Two visits ago, we had to call a manager in for very similar issues. After a brief discussion, he realized the problem and credited us for the items that were sub-par. Tonight, the manager came to our table and I tired to explain to him that this was not our first or second visit, it was closer to our 20th visit. This manager was off putting and simply did not care about the diners sitting in his restaurant. We wanted to have a nice meal to celebrate a milestone birthday and decided to give Nobu another chance. Again, we were disappointed. WIth so many excellent sushi restaurants in the Bay Area, we will likely save our Nobu visits for Malibu or other out of town destination. Terribly disappointing...

Connect with users posting reservations for Nobu Palo Alto

AppointmentTrader is a community-driven platform where users can exchange their reservations or leverage their personal relationships with Nobu Palo Alto. Buyers can make informed decisions using automated seller ratings, which reflect past transactions and reliability.

Read More on How Seller Track Record and the Bid Process Works Read More Action Icon

Each posting on AppointmentTrader shows you which user submitted it and along with that provides a trackrecord of that user which indicates how much experience the user has and how many percent of their transactions resulted in them issuing a refund.

If there is no user posting that fits your schedule, you can bid on your preferred time.

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Nobu Palo Alto at 6 PM the same day.

He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Nobu Palo Alto page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.

That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.

Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.

Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.

2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* ElaborateHouse74, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* ElaborateHouse74 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to ElaborateHouse74 for any questions Peter may have as ElaborateHouse74 user fills the bid.

3.) Finding the Reservation
* ElaborateHouse74 now uses their connections at Nobu Palo Alto to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If ElaborateHouse74 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.

4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, ElaborateHouse74 receives the $200 reward which is credited to ElaborateHouse74's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Nobu Palo Alto!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
