If you want to feel like you're at a 5 star restaurant this is your place. It is expensive but worth every dollar. Our waiter Ramon provided great service but even better recommendations . Everything was awesome. My wife ordered the steak and I ordered the Sea Bass, best sea bass I have ever ordered. Appetizers were amazing , sides and deserts were equally great ( Ramon's recommendations ) Manager Steve came by to make sure everything was good, nice touch Look at the pictures online of the inside, great special occasion restaurant, once again it isn't cheap but we will go back for our anniversary

Fresh seafood. Definitely a go to place now. Also, their wine list is very extensive, cheaper than many restaurants like French laundry. Loved the dessert too. I do prefer to cooked seafood tower though. The seafood salad is also a must try.
My husband and I came here for his birthday to celebrate.
First time here and to say the least, we will definitely be back. Our server Alton recommended an AMAZING New York strip. Probably the best steak I've ever had. We fell in love with this place, not just for the food but the service and atmosphere. Friendly staff and great food recommendations. Can't wait to come back!

Went to Ocean 48 to celebrate my friend, had amazing time, service was great. Huge thank you to Jesse R. He was so nice to my guest and I. Had such a pleasant time speaking to him for a few mins. Hopefully the next time we come he will be the one serving us at this wonderful restaurant. Thanks to all the current staff and servers as well. Order the heirloom tomato + king crab App, so good. Forgot pics this time, was having too much fun.

The food here was absolutely outstanding -- truly worthy of praise. Every dish was expertly prepared, with flavors that were exceptional and memorable. The ambiance was equally impressive, creating the perfect setting for a flawless evening. The service itself was excellent -- warm, attentive, and professional -- but there was one major missed opportunity that stood out. Our host, a highly successful business owner from a well-established family, paid with an AMEX Centurion card -- often referred to as the "Black Card." Fewer than 200,000 people in the entire world have one. This card is more than just a payment method; it's a strong indicator of elite clientele and a chance for a restaurant to go above and beyond in creating a remarkable experience. Unfortunately, the staff and management didn't seem to recognize its significance. There was no acknowledgment from the manager, no extra touch to elevate the experience, and no effort to build a relationship with a potentially very loyal and influential guest. While the evening was wonderful overall, this was a major missed opportunity. I highly recommend that management train staff to recognize the AMEX Centurion card -- and similar signals of high-value clientele -- so that they can act accordingly, even if it's as simple as having a manager stop by to thank the guest personally and make a note for future visits. That level of attentiveness is what transforms an already excellent restaurant into a truly world-class destination.

I had a really bad experience at Ocean 48.
I ordered the raw tuna, and within hours I came down with severe food poisoning symptoms. It completely ruined my night and the following day. I understand that raw fish carries some risk, but I've eaten it many times elsewhere without issue. This felt careless on the restaurant's part. Just a heads-up to anyone considering ordering raw items here--be cautious.
The food, ambiance and service was impressive.
The bread, crispy shrimp and sautéed shrimp appetizers were mouthwatering, delicious and a good start to my meal. I loved the Chilean sea-bass with mushrooms and my partner enjoyed the filet mignon, shells and cheese, and mashed potatoes.

.. you are perfection and a gift to Orange County. We've been making the drive to Steak 48 only to find a more local sister restaurant that appears to have the steak 48 menu plus more seafood options. This restaurant is beautiful, classy, top notch and just impressive. We dined here for my husband's birthday and sat in a quiet room in the back right. I love the: -glass walls where you can see the kitchen -interior design -Japanese toilets We enjoy the hanging bacon, steak tartar, yummy bread (eat it hot), ribeye cap. I love the tree of beignets and the red velvet pudding. A worker here noticed that I was looking for the restroom, so he escorted me to the restroom and every time we crossed paths with someone he said "honorary guest coming through." Then there was a woman outside the restrooms directing me to which restroom to use. Such attention to the guest experience! The food came out quickly. I enjoyed their playlist! Our waitress was MIA in the beginning, slightly curt and had poor eye contact. She thanked us several times, probably more than needed. My husband saw her yelling at the bus boy because he didn't clear our table. He was so sad afterwards. That was the only hiccup in our experience. I hope this observation can be shared with the servers to treat their coworkers with respect. Waitress aside, I will be back!

* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FulfilledThread16, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* FulfilledThread16 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FulfilledThread16 for any questions Peter may have as FulfilledThread16 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* FulfilledThread16 now uses their connections at Ocean 48 Newport Beach to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FulfilledThread16 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FulfilledThread16 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FulfilledThread16's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Ocean 48 Newport Beach!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
