Irish lunch spot near 9/11 memorial with good burgers.
Traditional Irish lunch spot honoring the 9/11 first responders. Huge burgers prepared to your liking, and cold beer. Prompt service with the manager on top of the action.
Be the first to ReplyA temple dedicated to honor!
We spent 3 good times having a drink in this atypical establishment where honor is given to Police Officers and Firefighters from around the world. Firefighters from “Ladder 10” right next door who paid a heavy price during 9/11 I was able to chat with the very friendly boss to whom I proudly left my cap. Thanks for this place. Strength and honor. (Buy a t-shirt at the bar and at Ladder 10 in support)
Be the first to ReplyA Place to go especially after visiting the 911 memorial.
Our 911 tour guide recommended this place to go after our tour. We did see walls and walls of New York’s and all over the US firefighters patches. It is the closet station and the first to respond to after 911. Very moving place right next to the fire station. Our burgers and fries were top notch.
Be the first to ReplyCozy Pub Charm
O'Hara's Restaurant & Pub is a cozy gem. With authentic Irish cuisine, lively ambiance, and top-notch service, it's a must-visit. Perfect for a hearty meal or a pint of Guinness with friends.
Be the first to ReplyGreat pub with a lot of history
Visiting O’Haras was for me, a must visit after visiting the 911 Memorials. The staff were friendly and the food tasty and unpretentious. We raised a glass to those who have served and paid the ultimate price. Thank you all for your service, you will not be forgotten🍺

Very good food and great service! Went there with three colleagues. Everyone was very pleased with the quality of the food and the hospitality of the waitstaff.

A very busy bar, thank you for allowing us to see the scrap book and for taking the time to introduce us to local beers. Loving the blue point toasted lager.
Be the first to ReplyA brilliant experience!
Being in the area for an upcoming tour, we had spotted O’Hara’s after some research into the area and of course, its link to 9/11. Even before midday, the place was bustling and filled with customers and of course the iconic badges of emergency services from around the world . We were asked to wait for fifteen minutes, which gave us an opportunity to have a drink at the bar. We ended up talking to the manager who is a really funny and friendly person and helped flag down a server to take us to our table. We ordered a Philly cheese and a BBQ chicken sandwich, both of which were absolutely delicious and served in a bagel-style bread. An absolutely brilliant experience just for the sake of sitting down and soaking in the lively atmosphere and rock music.

I had already been last year and came back again with great pleasure!!! The staff is as exceptional as its meals and its beers! I recommend everyone to try something characteristically Irish from yesterday to New York today. Really fantastic!!!

The best possible way to end a very emoutionelle day at Ground Zero Nice food, friendly service in the memory of heros and losses.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Local and Tourist Bar/Restaraunt.
After being ripped off in Tourist midtown Manhattan. It was nice to come to a bar restaraunt that accommodates both locals and tourists and makes you feel at home. Great choice of drinks, the food is good and the atmosphere is great. Ask the staff member to let you look through the 911 memoir photo book. If In New York for work or pleasure, please don’t miss out on the gem of a bar and restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyGreat pub with great atmosphere and food, great staff!
Went here for dinner our first night in NYC and kept coming back every day for drinks or lunch etc. Great pub with great atmosphere, and be sure to ask to see their photo album.
Be the first to ReplyMust visit when in NYC!
History in real life. O’Hara s is located at the foot of the World Trade Center. A must when visiting the city. The decor is classic with the walls covered with fire and police patches from around the world. The staff is attentive and friendly. The crowd is great and the drinks are always cold. We didn’t eat this time around but the food has been very good on past visits.

Was a great pit stop for lunch, sitting at the bar having a couple of pints whilst revelling in the history and vibe of this special place. Food was filling and inexpensive. Was a highlight of our trip and a moving place to be
Be the first to ReplyFor those who get it .....
This place has a vibe only certain people will understand. Those people included are fun, kind, patient and not looking for something fancy. It has a warmth about it...and for those who complain ...look around and open your eyes. Your troubles of not getting that drink right away is nothing compared to what you see around you...look around.....and instead of complaining take a seat and have a laugh with the person next to you and just maybe you will look around instead and figure it all out.
Be the first to ReplyGo for experience, not the food
The bar being at ground zero is covered in badges from around the US from police and fire. The scrapbook is cool to see. The beer is good and the onion rings were solid. The shepherds pie was dry and flavorless. The burger was just okay. I'd suggest getting a drink here - but eating elsewhere.

Having read about this place I really wanted to like it. Sadly, while the bar and the memorabilia are fascinating, one member of staff was extremely unfriendly. We went in the first day, there was a nice atmosphere and the barman was friendly. We just had one drink as we were on our way to our hotel a short walk away. We decided to go back in the following day and sat in another area with a different barman. We'd heard him being extremely rude with another customer, she was just asking a question about the menu. Again with another lady asking if she could take photos. Then he was the same with a few others. We asked about moving seats and again, a very cold and blunt response, there really was no need. As we sat, it seemed that the people who appeared to be regulars were treated with open arms, the rest of us, not so. The waiter who kept bringing our drinks however, was excellent, everything brought with a smile and a friendly attitude. The food was ok, nothing special, stopped us being hungry for a while. Its an interesting place, I knew about it's history and would have loved a wander round. Instead, I stayed seated, feeling like I would be frowned upon and in the way. Really disappointed, sad to say. And a shame for the other staff members we encountered as they seemed lovely

Great pub food & beer. We had a burger and a philly roll, both were served with fries. The atmosphere is really good and all the staff were really pleasant. Great selection of beers, something for everyone.
Be the first to ReplyFavourite Pub in NYC
Awesome little pub in an historic part of New York. Really friendly welcome and service from all the staff who clearly take immense pride in the pub and rightly so. We had a few drinks and the atmosphere made you feel like you were in a locals bar in a small town not in the heart of downtown Manhattan. We were given the memorial book to look through which was moving and heart warming and showed the integral part this pub had in helping to rebuild. Will be on the list for a pit stop every time we are in New York and will make sure to try some pub grub next time as the food looked very good.
Be the first to ReplyDefinitely recommend!!
We just left the National 9/11 Museum and needed to eat somewhere close. This place came up on our list. AMAZING food and the service was just outstanding!! We sat at the bar and our bartenders were so informative! They even shared their 9/11 scrapbook!! Great service and food!! Must go!!
Be the first to ReplyGreat welcoming place
Really friendly staff. Great food and local beer served quick and cold. We were recommended this place by a friend and was not disappointed. I had the grilled chicken Caesar salad and my husband had the burgers and fries. We were particularly instead in the badges and were lucky enough to find Northumberland fire service as my husband works for them Lovely place
Be the first to ReplyGood experience.
Busy bar. Service was prompt . Ambience very good. Lots of people coming and going out. Has two tables by the road also . Relished chilled beer and o hare’s classic burger . Near perfect .
Be the first to ReplyNice pub
Stopped here twice and enjoyed it both times. Lively atmosphere, good music, super friendly staff, fair prices. The food was good, huge portions, we couldn't finish everything on the plate on neither visit. Really tasty Irish stew, though the Shepherd's pie could use a bit more sauce.
Be the first to ReplyBest We Found in the City
My wife and I had come over for St. Patrick's Day and stayed for another 5 days. We found O'Hara's the day we visited the One World and 911 Museum. This is a crackin' pub, great atmosphere, great service and the Guinness wasn't bad either. The pub serves as a meeting place for Fire Fighters, Police Officers and Soldiers from all sides of the globe, the walls are festooned with their patches.
The food is pretty good too - we both had the 10 House burgers, named after the Fire House on the corner. Pretty good.
The staff are attentive, polite and offer great service. If I'm ever back in NYC I'll be sure to return and would recommend this pub/restaurant to anyone visiting. Go on catch the E train downtown and do yourself a favour!
