I went on a Saturday night with friends and the music was good. They had lots of beer and cider options on tap, and bartenders knew the selection well. I would recommend comings during the day when it's less crowded.
Be the first to ReplyI went to this restaurant last week.
The atmosphere was wonderful. The servers were wonderful. I got my food on time and fresh. The managers. Jamie and George were very helpful when it came to seating and making sure that I had everything that I needed. I would definitely go here again And would recommend it highly for people in the Chicagoland area. I gave this restaurant five stars because of the service and the food and the managers.

Great game day spot! Watched the Indiana Purdue basketball game and ordered the Mega Mule, waiter was great and food was yummy! Good spot to watch games with tons of TVs
Be the first to ReplyAmbiance is welcoming and the food and drinks are great.
We normally don't get dessert and this time we did. We had a really good experience. What was really the cherry on top of our time spent there was was our server #52 Jorge! The dude knows his beers and will help you make a confident decision on what ever your preference is.

I've been coming to this place for a couple years now and I love it! Their happy hour deals are amazing and the service is fantastic. Our server Mario is the absolute best! It's some of the best service we have ever had and the environment is great. Thanks Mario and Old Town Pour House!
Be the first to ReplyI received a handful of gift cards for Lettuce Entertain
I received a handful of gift cards for Lettuce Entertain You restaurants and RJ Grunts was at the top of my list. I brought a Friend, My Sister and Niece. It didn't seem like the place you'd need a reservation for, we were wrong. The woman who greeted us told us we'd have a table for 1 hour, and I considered it verbally to which she replied "you really don't have a choice" LOL (Well, I could leave) her response pretty much summed up the service of everyone else we came in contact with, we were kind of treated like we didn't matter. The food? I wasn't expecting much, because of the prices and my suspicions were right on. Very high cost, very low flavors. My sister and I both got a Bacon & Cheddar Burger, which was essentially a huge patty with two strips of bacon and a thin single layer of melted cheddar cheese. I was shocked when I recalled that the burger was suppose to come as it was (without additional toppings) because there was no flavor, glad I asked about that (the server didn't seem happy about it) LOL I had heard their wings were great, and they were relatively good, but very different, they were sweet, it was weird. The highlight of our order was the coffee which was great! The aesthetics, I'm assuming, is the main draw of this restaurant. But for me, that's about 10% of what matters.

I came with a group to Pourhouse on Saturday 12/17 to watch college basketball. What a disaster this place is.We sat at the bar initially. My girlfriend asked the bartender if espresso martinis are served to which she replied "hell nooooo". My girlfriend followed up saying she'd had some sort of coffee drink at Pourhouse, but the bartender insisted " hell noooooo".There were 4 tables that seat 8 people empty. The entire bar was maybe 20-30% full. The hostess refused to seat our group of 7 at the 8 person table for reasons that remain unknown. We asked her why seeing as the 8 seater tables were empty, as was the rest of the bar, but she said "when your full party is here you can let me know". Apparently this clown would rather watch us stand around twiddling our thumbs than have us buy food/drinks.We eventually got a group of 10 people at the table. Two people pulled up chairs from the sea of 50+ unoccupied chairs, but this same joke of a hostess darted over and said they could only sit in stools with no backs to them. In other words, she looked at two of our guests in regular chairs and swapped them out for stools. When asked why she said "because I said so". Fair to say I won't be watching college hoops here again. This place is a disgrace. And the fried pickles stink.

I was there for a private event unfortunately our host didn't want to complaint, but our bartender was on her phone while we were trying to get drinks and when we finally got them she had an attitude also, because we extended our stay like not wanting to be there and making faces.

I'm a beer guy and this place have unlimited beers you named it.. Luis was very helpful on recommending me the right beer for my food. I will definitely come back again.
Be the first to ReplyThis place is a nice spot to watch Sunday football.
There are a lot of selections of beers. Our server Nancy gave us great service, she was very helpful and caring towards my food allergies, and she went into detail about what foods I can order or Substitute. Thanks, Nancy!

Seriously a hidden gem for brunch!! Okay, not hidden but the brunch food was amazing!! The French toast with the baileys cream is a must!! We got their mimosa flight and I really appreciate that they have several drink options for the flight!
Be the first to ReplyHad brunch here and enjoyed dining outdoors on a sunny day.
We shared breakfast tacos and the giant cinnamon roll and both were super tasty. The cinnamon roll in particular was awesome! The cheesy potatoes were a little too cheesy for me, but not bad. Good service and surprisingly quiet for a weekend brunch!

Really want to like this place but the only thing it has going for it are the TVs on game days.. the food is average and the service horrible! The manager should take the entire staff down the street to The Vig see how services is down right.
Be the first to ReplySince trying Old Town in Naperville last week and loving
Since trying Old Town in Naperville last week and loving it, my friends and I decided to spontaneously try the Old Town in Chicago.....not the wisest choice. The interior was big and beautiful. Great vibes but the food just fell off the mark. First off, the menu was very limited. Since we loved the fish & chips in Naperville, we got two orders this time. It was still good, but the fish wasn't that fresh and the breading wasn't crispy. The Smokehouse burger was really good, sweet and tangy. The Scorpion burger was SICPY. We expected the spice, but wow! I would say, my favorite dish was the Southwest chicken salad. It was perfectly dressed and the crispy strips added a nice crunch. Overall, I think we will definitely go back to the Naperville location, but I don't know if we will be back to the Chicago one. If we do, it will probably be for the drinks and to watch games. (Also, there was a 3% surcharge to our final bill. After asking our server about it, she mentioned that it was optional and can be taken off?? So we took it off. It was just weird that there was a random surcharge and if we didn't check, no explanation would have been given).
Be the first to ReplyIt was a great low-key spot for a pretty fast Sunday Brunch
It was a great low-key spot for a pretty fast Sunday Brunch over Memorial Day weekend. It was surprisingly empty around 11AM, so we were able to snag a nice spot outside in front of the restaurant. Service was pretty fast and I ordered the carrot cake pancakes and the unique taste on avocado toast. It was perfect to split between two people and have something savory and sweet for breakfast. The carrot cake pancakes were delicious but the cream cheese topping was only one the top pancake, so it was hard to transfer the flavor to the other two pancakes. The Clash Smash avocado toast was really good and I like the corn and picked onion to add more citrus and texture to the toast. Overall a good dining experience and it's in a great area to walk around with plenty of restaurants and bars.

Parking is aittle tricky since it's all street parking, but this bar is great! Came here with some friends to watch the Bulls VS Bucks second Game. This place has great a great TV setup. They had built tvs behind the bar area and all around as well for everyone to see at all angles with was nice. The food was alright. We got the cheese curds, a side of fries and the Pour House burger. The food was just alright, could have been better. Drinks here were good though. Got a beer flight that consisted of pistachio cream ale, son of juice, lizard king, and strawberry basil here. Overall, great place for a sports game and drinks with friends and family. Would come back again!

Located in Old Town, this is a great place to go if you have a large group for brunch. Tons of seating and lots of menu options. We started with donut holes to share (these are phenomenal) and I got a Hot Blooded Bloody Mary. I wish the Bloody Mary was a little spicier, but it came with so much on top it was an appetizer all on its own! The breakfast sandwich I got for my meal was just okay, the biscuit it was on reminded me of something store bought and was a little dry. Overall, I like this place for the atmosphere and the ability to get seated quickly. It's a great place to come during March madness or football season because of all the TVs!

Wanting to catch the bulls bucks nba playoff game we came to this establishment. Got the pour burger with veggie patty and the 312 beer freshly brewed on tap. The burger came with fries which was seasoned nicely. Overall had a good experience and the service was fantastic.

Be the first to ReplyWent on a Friday night.
This place is fine for a party environment, but don't expect the staff to show you a sliver of respect. My friends and I started our night here. Respect is a two way street. It's understandable when dealing with drunk idiots to react accordingly, but we were not intoxicated. Simply put, we came here to enjoy our time together, enjoy the music/vibe, and dance. The first encounter with the staff was when dude saw my vape sitting on the table. I vape outside and when it's not in use it's very obvious, as it would be in my hand if it was. One of the staff members barked at me that i couldn't smoke it inside. I told him I was aware of that, given the fact that it was not in use. He just glared at me. Shortly after, we were standing to the side near a ledge that was very clearly built to set drinks on. We were told we couldn't stand in that area. Mind you, there were no open tables and the bar was at least 40 people deep, it looked like flies hovering over a corpse. Where else to stand you ask? Beats me. As we were doing as told and moving to a different spot, my hair clip fell off my belt loop. I bent down to pick it up. As I bent over, the dude with the long dreadlocks got right in my face and yelled YOU GOT TO LEAVE!!! ....to which I responded, I know. And then I was met with THEN GET THE F*CK OUT!!!! Excuse me? In what world is it okay to talk to a patron like that? Someone who didn't come to cause any problems and was doing as told. I'm sorry, I thought people came to establishments like this to have a good time? I can only imagine how he treats his girlfriend, if he even has one. He ALMOST killed the vibe, but small comfort is found in the fact that people who treat other people like that just can't be happy. The bartender looked stressed and as I got my drink I told him he was doing a great job, to which he just glared at me and shoved my drink in my face. Wow, the staff here are so unhappy, I can only imagine the shit show behind the scenes. Interesting experience to say the least. Probably won't be back.
Be the first to ReplyOld faithful.
Old Told Pour House hits the spot every single time. It's consistently yum and the service is always great. The atmosphere is pretty meh, nothing special to it. Classic American food. Quote from the table "I love this pace, it's so low key and simple. Everything we're not"
Be the first to ReplyEvery time I come here, I get reliable great quality
Every time I come here, I get reliable great quality service and food. The staff is incredibly kind, knowledgeable about the beers, are quick to get you what you need. Forgot our server's name this time around, but he was great to recommend beers during the Goose Island take over event and got us special condiments for our food too. The burger are super flavor lulu even using impossible meat, and the fries are executed great with the seasoning and from how crispy they are.
Be the first to ReplyDidn't have a great experience here, and couldn't recommend
Didn't have a great experience here, and couldn't recommend it with any confidence. Went to Pour House for a bar crawl. The venue itself is cool -- lots of neat lighting, tables, etc. They had a DJ, but they didn't take requests, which was a bummer. The music wasn't my cup of tea, but it wasn't bad. The worst part of the experience: my friend bought a red bull from the bar, and later in the night, an employee came and confiscated the red bull. They accused her of bringing in an outside drink, and claimed that Pour House doesn't sell it here. Thankfully, they realized their mistake a while later and brought my friend a red bull and apologized. Even still, that was incredibly frustrating and uncomfortable. I don't think I'd like to return here.
Be the first to ReplyI never have a bad time when I'm here.
There's plenty of room and lots of TVs playing every sporting event. It's a fun atmosphere to watch a game. The food is good. The cheese curds and pretzel bites are my favorite. The used to have these great flatbreads on the menu. I wish they would bring those back.
