Good and pricey vegan option
We sat outdoors on a nice evening. Thoughtful menu has a number of good options. We thought the corn soup was great, cauliflower entree was good, and the vegan “crabcakes” were pretty good. Food is pricey though quality is good.

Best vegan restaurant anyone can ask for. Fantastic, flavorful cuisine. Our hostess, Liberty, was extraordinary friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Well done Oliver’s of Montecito!!!!
Be the first to ReplyExcellent vegan restaurant in Montecito
During a trip to LA and Santa Barbara, my husband and I ate dinner at Olivers two days in a row. We ate at the Crossroads Kitchen restaurant in LA a few days prior (again, on two subsequent days) and were looking forward to eating at another highly rated vegan restaurant, this time in Montecito. Our dinners at Olivers were excellent - I had the scallop buccatini and my husband had the braised mushroom ravioli. The next evening we had the heirloom tower and the pear and gorgonzola flatbread. Deserts on both nights were delicious as well. We loved every bite. We highly recommend Olivers and will certainly return again.
Be the first to ReplyGreat vegetarian food, a tad expensive.
Fantastic cocktails. Food could be tastier. I’d like to see authentic vegetarian Indian chefs on staff.Overall - good but high priced. Very nice setting.

4 of us dined at this restaurant recently after having not visited it prior to Covid and found it to be as good as before offering various vegan dishes with an array of seasonings that will placate most palates. We were greeted with respect by the hostess and seated at a table of our preference. The waitress was very prompt and courteous and attentive except for following through with 2 special requests for side dishes which did not occur and should have been monitored. The outside dining area is a little larger than the inside and both are comfortable options plus the inside also has a bar area. They have a decent wine list and a dedicated sommelier who is well informed.

We were really well looked after and welcomed warmly. The menu was great and we started with delicious cocktails. We shared starters and enjoyed our main courses. Great flavours. Service could have been a little slower to allow us to linger a little but it didn’t spoil our visit. A really nice atmosphere and nicely busy for a Sunday evening.
Be the first to ReplyBland Uninspired Food
Food was extremely uninspired and bland. I know it's difficult to try to recreate Pad Thai without fish sauce but it was really insipid goo that tasted nothing like Pad Thai.
Be the first to ReplyExpensive and delicious vegan
The mushroom ravioli was out of this world, as were the pepita peppers. The service attentive, The Roman Artichokes were fine. we don;t recommend the Bourbon of Paradise cocktail - too smoky. Very expensive.
Be the first to ReplyI use to love it here....
Saturday, 19 March, 7:30 PM reservation: I used to love this place. My husband and I have celebrated anniversaries, birthdays and special occasions here whenever we’re in town, and it has always been an amazing experience. We always leave with wonderful memories. We were in Santa Barbara to celebrate a birthday, so, of course, Oliver's was our first choice. Unfortunately, it was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. It started when we approached the hostess stand, and were “greeted” by a less than welcoming Manager. It had actually started to rain on our way to the restaurant, so we were concerned when he dismissively sat us at a table on the patio. Shortly thereafter it began to sprinkle. We asked our waiter if we could be moved inside, and he said that he would ask the Manager. Other guests began asking to be moved inside, as well, as it began to rain in earnest. When our waiter finally returned, he asked if the Manager had spoken to us yet, and then apologized when we told him that we had not seen the Manager since we had been seated. While we continued to wait, in the rain, I asked the hostess for another table, and she was totally dismissive and rude. This whole time our waiter continued to check on us and apologize for the Manager. At one point, to get out of the rain, we stood by a food-service station where the Manager passed us at least three times and still continued to ignore us. We finally decided to start looking up another restaurant when the Manager and our waiter came over and physically moved our dirty, and now soaked table indoors. I was very happy that the Manager took action, but from then on it was the most uncomfortable and embarrassing visit that I have ever had. The Manager never came back to apologize or check on us. The only saving grace was our wonderful waiter! He was apologetic for the whole situation, and thanked us for our patience. I believe his name was Jesus. (Yes, he got a well deserved tip) When we were finished with dinner, we ordered our dessert to go and wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible. The hostess did not even acknowledge us as we left, and we never saw the Manager again. We would not have stayed, but the birthday person had their heart set on eating here. Lesson learned, we will definitely not be returning.
Be the first to ReplyDinner at the Oliver's, Montecito,Santa Barbara
We pre-booked for dinner 10 days before and still got only the 9 pm slot at the Oliver's Restaurant, Montecito, Santa Barbara on 12 th March for three persons. It is a 100 percent Vegan restaurant with a large variety of food choices. The place was clean with well spread out seating. The outdoor seating was made comfortable with pedestal type gas heaters. Our menu consisted of Roman style Artichoke hearts , Kung pao cauliflower ,Shishto peppers and Jackfruit taco and flatbreads. All the items except the jackfruit taco were very tasty. We topped it up with good red wine from JCR Vineyard. Overall , it was a very good dinner.

The atmosphere was very romantic with all of the outdoor lighting and the heat lamps kept us warm. The salads, flatbreads, and mushroom ravioli were delicious. The desserts were ok! There were a lot of staff just hanging around trying to keep busy and the waitstaff treated tables who ordered drinks much better than those who didn’t. Overall a nice evening with good food.
Be the first to ReplyVery good food
Vegan or otherwise the food and flavors were delicious. The chop salad with cauliflower, dates, almonds, etc. was delicious. Also the jack fruit taco-great flavors. The only problem with the taco is I could not eat it as a taco because the tortilla was too full of juice that it broke with I picked it up. Too bad. It's not the same with a fork.
I also ordered an apple crumble served with coconut sorbet. Way too sweet. I ate 2 bites.
Non - vegans will like it too !
Whether you are a vegan or not , the food is delicious at Oliver’s! The ambience is lovely too. They have a nice outdoor space and a good bar. The service was attentive. I enjoyed their wine selection - lots of good options. There is a small parking lot behind the restaurant or across the street, there is also parking available. This is a good place to order several dishes or appetizers and then share so you can try different things. Also , don’t skip trying one of their desserts ! The chocolate cake is like fudge and goes really well with that last sip of red wine. 😀 We enjoyed everything about our evening at Oliver’s.

What a great spot for all foodies, not just vegetarians and vegans!
We sat on their fabulous patio for dinner recently while traveling through the area with friends.
Service was outstanding - attentive, informative, friendly. Food was wonderful. Fun selection of things to share. Some of our highlights were the brussels sprouts, artichoke crab cakes and apple salad.
Definitely would return if only we lived in the area!
Best Vegan
This place has the best vegan food we have had on the west coast!
We started with the classic artichoke cakes. The 2 small cakes had a delicious taste and the added corn and arugula gave it a nice touch. The sauce may be a tad spice for some, but we loved it.
For our entrees we had the ravioli, pad Thai, and the chopped salad. Had you not read the ravioli was vegan you would not know it. This was unbelievable! The Thai was full of veggies and rice noodles, but the sauce was made the meal. Both excellent recommendations.
For desert we split the maple apple crumble. This put an explanation point on the entire meal. My complements to the chef. Jesus our server was excellent and we wish could eat here everyday.
Always Amazing!
Chef Craig really knows his way around plant base cuisine...and to top it off, the GM Jeremy buzzes around the dining room making your visit top notch. What a duo.

You really dont need to be put off by this place if you love meat and fish, there really is nothing wrong with giving this place a go.
Food is excellent, great flavors, good selection.
Cocktails are great, and well created.
But the service stands out the best, Carly is the best
Stylish plant-based cuisine comes to Montecito
Tried out a range of items - the Wild Mushroom Tostada was by far the most flavorful and had a nice variety of creamy, crunchy, salty, savory type flavors. The fried cauliflower appetizer was very large, with a spicy sauce that filled us up quickly. Meh-wouldn't order the farro risotto again - bland and mushy in texture. Nice bar and great wine list by the glass.

We went to this vegan restaurant with family. We are from Boston and there are no upscale vegan restaurants there so we were very pleased to find this one. It did not disappoint! We tried a number of appetizers tapas style. The cauliflower was my favorite. The jackfruit tacos and hummus were also superb.
