Oma's Hideaway Portland Reviews from The Last Year
I'd hideaway with Oma any opportunity I get.
We had a late Friday night reservation for 5, everyone was so dang friendly and wore the coolest jumpsuits. The "outdoor" table back in the hideaway felt like an extension of the restaurant & the temp was perfect. The cocktails were on point, who knew you could make a drink taste exactly like bubblegum? And the lil mai tai sushi shots really spoke to my inner teen. The food was divine. They are small plates - so we ordered almost everything on the menu (we didn't get the turnip, the cabbage, or the burger) but we got 2 orders of rice. They were out of fried chicken, so we happily ordered a second char siu pork platter. Everything was so good! - I wish I could sleep on a bed of their roti every night. - The tempura fried green beans & the winter raita salad blew my expectations out of the water. - My friend thought the wonton mee was a bit too fishy. I mostly agree, and I think it was less spectacular in comparison to the other dishes. - The spicy katong laksa was fire. I mixed it in with some rice to absorb the spice & happily sniffled my way through it. All in all, we left with full bellies and happy hearts. I'd strongly recommend Oma's Hideaway. And if you can swing it, I recommend getting ~2 dishes/person + an extra rice, and sharing everything family style.

Thank you Oma's Hideaway for coming to the rescue on the eve of 1-13 during the snowstorm that shut down PDX for the weekend. Luckily we braved the elements and got a two-top for dinner at Oma's. We enjoyed slushie shots (DO NOT SKIP THIS), the spicy katong laksa ($22), fall raita salad ($15), a wonton mee ($26), and oma's corn fritters ($12). The portions were small and everything was yum, but the vibes (music) and service (soooo friendly) definitely made the experience. We would love to return and try lunch or brunch.
Went here with 2 others.
I thought it was pretty expensive for good food and left hungry. One friend is vegan and had to order twice as many dishes as the other two as her dishes were very small.

I just love this restaurant! Everytime I go there, I have an absolutley amazing meal. Their menu always changes up, so there have been new items to try each time. I took my daughter there tonight, it was her first time, so we probably didn't choose the most adventurous items, but dang they were good. We got the coconut rice, salted egg yolk curry fires, tempura fried green beans, and Indonesian fried chicken. Each dish was a marvel. I am a picky fried chicken eater, and this was one of the best I had. Not too fried, so had crunch, but not enough to cut up your mouth, and the accompaniments were fantastic. The dishes we ordered felt like comfort food, but elevated and unique. The cocktail menu was interesting, and we love the items we choose. The service was excellent, the waiter was competent, familiar with the menu, made suggestions, and providered excellent service. I have to say this is one of my favorite PDX restaurants, and I need to go more often!

We've lived nearby for over a year and only finally visited yesterday, and boy was it worth it. Delicious meals, well mixed drinks and very unique ambience. Our waiter walked us through the menu and pairings. We loved this experience.
I went on Tuesday with no reservation and was lucky.
I didn't know this place was such a hip spot. The 80s vibes inside were spectacular. I got carried away in conversation but everything we had was delicious. I got the fried chicken and that had a really crunch breading that was truly scrumptious. I covered it with the curry that came to the table. We ordered some pork and that was surprisingly fishy but in a very good way. I can't wait to come back. Our server was so sweet. They keep the menu fresh by rotating some things every month so you aren't bored.
Visiting from San Francisco, I love a good foodie scene.
Oma's did not disappoint! Incredible Salty Egg Yolk Curry Fries and Laksa
I would go here again just for the vibes and the roti.
This place was adorable and such a fun maximalist fever dream. My boyfriend and I went here on New Year's Eve and even on an insane night that's usually packed it had great service and we were able to get a reservation same day which tells me this is an under appreciated GEM. We went here on a friend's recommendation and she did not steer us wrong because this place was one of the best restaurants I've been to in Portland. 10/10.
Oma's has been on my list for quite some time.
Restaurant is dimly lit, perfect for a date night or outing with friends. Highly recommend coming with a group so that you can try multiple plates, as they are intended to be sharables. Opted for a booze-free evening, but the cocktails were fun and sounded delightful. Forgot to take pics, but went for Dumpling Week. Loved the addition of tofu with the dumplings, but sadly disappointed that the order only came with two (because they were SO good!). Our group also ordered the Roti, Turnip & Apple Curry, and the Sambal. The parsnip & squash curry sauce served with the roti should be bottled! I was seconds away from licking the dish dry LOL.
Some of the best food I've ever had.
Truly a treat and I highly recommend the pork and the curry + roti combination.
Do not go here
We went to Oma’s on august 11th as a party of 6. My partner and I had a bill that totaled just under $87 and included a fee for a large party and a 20% tip (both clearly denoted on the receipt). We rounded up to $88. Today, my credit card informed me that these jokers added a FOURTY FIVE DOLLAR TIP. 20% gratuity was included (and clearly stated on the freaking receipt) so we did not add additional tip and they had the audacity to illegally try and steal money from us. Do not go here, they are thieves. Also!!! We only ordered drinks!!! An absurd price for 4 drinks and a small appetizer. AVOID THIS PLACE.
Small dinner for a big price
Great innovative food but you will spending a lot and possibly come out hungry out of this place. The entrees look smaller than a standard snack and everything is about $20 or so. The taste is very good but the quantities of EVERYTHING is so small that it is almost less than having a snack so if u r hungry I recommend not going to this place.

That's what AT sponsorships are for - and you are only paying 25% in the first year and then less in year two and three.
I beliebe @EternalAnt36 was sponsored by @PerceptiveWash44 and is now doing $25k/mo.
You can write on the top sellers profiles (type 'Top 10' in the searchbar) and then tap request sponsorship button after you found the guy or gal like to work with!
