Memorable evening!
My husband and I had an exquisite dining experience at Oria. We had the traditional tasting menu, and every dish was artfully presented and absolutely delicious. The service met the standards of a Michelin star restaurant, and we especially felt cared for by Wendy and Orlangy. The sommelier provided an outstanding wine pairing that complemented the food, and we appreciated his thoughtful explanations of each wine. Thank you to Oria for a memorable evening.

I am an executive chef in San Francisco and my husband and I came to Oria for lunch. We travel quite a bit (often based around food) and we both agreed this was one of the better tasting menus we’ve had anywhere. We had around 18 dishes/small bites and every dish was good, more than a handful were exceptional, and the wine pairings were incredible (all local). They showcased local products in an elevated way without sacrificing flavor, the service was highly attentive without being invasive and we felt the price was reasonable for the quality of the dishes and ingredients. I’ve often been disappointed or felt ripped off at Michelin starred restaurants, but at Oria we left feeling that it really was worth the star and price tag. I question the previous negative reviews - we usually have quite high standards for meals and this was wonderful from beginning to end.

Very good service, nice minimalist atmosphere, and a very good tasting menu too. The price is the usual Michelin star price. I just don't know 5 stars because Barcelona has so many extraordinary options for a more affordable price, which would be being dishonest with the other places we dined.

Dined here to celebrate the 30th Birthday of my Fiancé. We had a great meal here. A real Michelin Star adventure of culinary excellence and presentation that can only be defined as art. We walked out completely full. I'm allergic to certain seafood, which they took no trouble to swap out for other items or re-incarnations to avoid allergens. Total bill cost was around 460 Euros for 2 people, a couple of glasses of wine, two set menus and service. Very memorable!

We had a lovely dining experience at Oria. My wife and I usually end our holiday travels with a "bang-up" meal and Oria did not disappoint. The staff was on point, the sommelier personable, and the doorman helpful in getting a taxi. The food was edible art and creative. If you want to treat yourself to a special evening make a reservation at Oria.
Be the first to ReplyA shame
The food was excellent, the service was 10, in this sense we would give 5 stars without hesitation. But there was one very unpleasant detail that left a bad taste in our mouths and that we want to share here as constructive criticism. When we were finalizing the menu and we had the last sip of coffee in our mouths, a lady (Laura) approached and without having asked her yet, she placed the bill on the table and the dataphone in front of our faces. Let's face it, we are quite agile at eating and in no case did we intend to prolong our stay longer than necessary, but the feeling was that they were kicking us out. It doesn't end there. When we handed over the card, the lady put a screen in front of our faces again so that we could leave a tip, establishing percentages that were in no way voluntary. We tend to be generous with tips and even more so when we have been comfortable, but we had never found ourselves in a situation where we were "required" to leave a tip and also establishing certain percentages without leaving it to the diner's discretion. Anyway...we won't be back. Barcelona has an excellent gastronomic offer and it is not necessary to go through these unpleasant situations to enjoy a good dinner. A shame, really.

We tried the pre fixe menu with the wine/drink pairing. It was wonderful!!! Beautiful presentations, impeccable service, unique and delicious bites! In the top three of Michelin star restaurants we have visited.

This is the single worst restaurant experience I have ever had. We made and cancelled a reservation when we realised our flight would not arrive in time. We were charged 480 EUROS for a 'no show' fee despite having EVIDENCE of our cancellation. The monster at reception claimed because we made the original booking, we could 'clearly afford it' and refused to refund the fee.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful gastronomical dinner in a Martin Berasategui restaurant!
Oria is a restaurant with a Michelin Star located in the Monument Hotel, in the center of Barcelona. It is one of the restaurants of Martin Berasategui, a very known Basque chef. The place is very comfortable, really a fantastic modern place. The staff was very friendly, they were perfect in each moment. Also, the gastronomical menu was excellent and we could taste some dishes of the chef like some modern starters, scallop with hollandaise sauce, hake cocochas (cheeks) or pork meat with truffled onion, and some desserts. And we drank a very good Basque white wine. Really a wonderful dinner in a fantastic place!

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal! We tried the Lunch tasting menu and everything was truly delicious. Starting with the beautiful presentation of each course, and the careful description of the ingredients by the servers, through to the first bites. This was a meal to eat slowly and capture the complexity of the flavours. One could tell careful attention to local ingredients were the star of the dishes. We were not rushed, and found this meal a highlight of our time in Barcelona. Definitely a pricey lunch but worth every penny. Highly recommend.

Taste: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 Presentation: 5/5 Overall the best Michelin one star restaurant we visited in Europe. Went for the 85€ lunch set menu which was generous. Waiters were professional, spoke good English and not too intrusive. Food was overall great, especially the truffle sandwich appetiser. Watch out for the beef and pork if you don’t like medium rare - rare food. 总体来说特别好的米其林一星,午餐一人85欧吃的很饱。服务员态度好会说英文。黑松茸的三明治特别好吃。如果不喜欢吃比较生的肉,别点牛肉和猪肉。
Be the first to ReplyOverwhelming Disappointing
I don’t like to leave bad reviews but don’t feel I have a choice. I was trying to be open minded as this was my first Michelin star experience outside of the UK, where I have visited several. This is the worst service I’ve ever had in a Michelin star restaurant and don’t even think it was passable for a fancy restaurant at all. Food was ok but a bit too rich for my liking and I feel like the ingredients of caviar and foie gras should be explicit on the menu as I do not wish to eat them for ethical reasons. Overall underwhelming other than the desserts and petit fours which were excellent, along with the bread and butter. The meal would’ve been much more enjoyable if the ambience and service was at the level I’d except. Upon my arrival I was asked to take a seat in bar. Was not offered a drink. When it got to 15 mins after my reservation (I’d been there 25 mins at that point) I had to flag someone down who then took me to my table. Wasn’t offered a wine list. I had a glass of wine that I had to just ask him to recommend for me. Don’t appear to do drinks other than wine. I then had a bottle of cava. After them topping my glass up once, they removed it from the table and I had to ask them to bring my drink back. Did not top my water up often enough. Would’ve preferred to have it left on the table so I can do it myself. Shouldn’t be sat there without a drink for so long in a Michelin star restaurant. Staff seemed disinterested and had no warmth about them. Tried to overcharge me on the bill and didn’t seem happy about me pointing it out. My most expensive Michelin star meal to date, and by far my worst experience .
Be the first to ReplyGood food but expensive drink
We tasted the menú Tradiciones and the food and the elaborations were good. We drank a bottle of cava during the lunch, and 2 single cava glasses as an aperitive. The bottle was as expensive as you can expect in a Michelin star restaurant, but for the the both single cava glass we paid 14€ each. That was crazy, honestly.
