Wonderful osteria!
Fantastic osteria. Tucked into a small courtyard with outdoor tables under the trees just off a main piazza. Beautiful food in presentation and tastes. Fabulous pesce-antipastas, most highly recommended. We followed with a wonderful vedura gnocchi. And vegetarian panna cotta, almost unheard of, so we had two.

Historic tavern of which I am very fond. Here you feel at home and find the true tradition of the Langhe. Quality and courtesy are not lacking.
Be the first to ReplyGood discovery.....in Alba....
More than a tavern, I believe it is a restaurant in all respects. Beautiful venue and majestic display and wine list. Triptych of good starters and sublime asparagus/pea and cheese gnocchi. Glasses of wine at fair prices for the area. The only discordant note (but it can happen).... glass of water with a bad smell of freshness. Prices normal....

Very nice restaurant, prepared dining room staff, never intrusive. High level cuisine. Interesting menu, tradition but not only. High quality raw materials. The wine list is beautiful.
Be the first to Replyexcellent prices for a Michelin
Don't be scared by the Michelin star because although starred it has an excellent quality/price ratio. A glass of Dolcetto at 3.50 Euros is absolutely a reasonable cost (in any other less "prestigious" restaurant it is usually 5 Euros). The portions are also adequate and obviously of excellent quality. I wasn't crazy about the veal with tuna sauce which I would have expected to be tastier but the Russian salad was truly fabulous! Room furnished like a real tavern with wooden tables and chairs like in the past. Beautiful wine cellar! Staff not empathetic but professional. The location is central, under the portico of the square now named after Michele Ferrero.

Wonderful evening with friends in this beautiful venue located in the center of Alba. Excellent food; effective mise en place; Very competent and kind waiters. Chef truly in love with the art of cooking. Compliments.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent tavern.
Typical Piedmontese tavern in the center of Alba. The dishes taken were really of an excellent standard (tortelloni stuffed with capon and really super Langhe snails). Really excellent desserts and appreciated by our entire table (very good bunet) Excellent wine list and prices in line with the quality offered. Courteous staff. The only flaw is the portions, too small for a restaurant, we're not crazy about it. Otherwise it would deserve all 5 stars.
Be the first to ReplyAlways A Guarantee
Always a Guarantee Every year we come to the Alba Truffle Festival and have dinner at this restaurant. He has never disappointed us. My favorite dish: cardoons with fondue and truffles. The truffle is always fresh and of excellent quality. Fast and attentive service

Excellent trattoria, very popular with local and non-tourist customers. Traditional Piedmontese dishes. The agnolotti and fondue ravioli are especially excellent. Quick and friendly service, truly excellent!
Be the first to ReplyTop tagliolini
Nice restaurant in the center of Alba, right in Piazza Michele Ferrero. We went with the little girl and the dog. The service is fast. We took the trio of Piedmontese starters and the veal with tuna sauce was truly a spectacle, the raw meat was also good, the Russian salad was average. First we took the plin, good ones, the tagliolini with ragù and the tagliolini with white truffle (40 euros). I have to say the pasta was excellent as was the sauce. Really good. We then had some excellent desserts: apple pie and tiramisu. Although I have to say I would have preferred reheated apple pie. The only flaw of the evening was the wine: we took a bottle of arneis which was served to us very cold and we had to wait about ten minutes to appreciate it at an acceptable temperature. When I pointed this out at the cash desk the lady shrugged and said that they keep the wine in the fridge... I'm sorry, but as a place that wants to be of a high standard, this is fine for me. Total price 126 euros.

Be the first to ReplyYummy, authentic food
I really enjoyed this restaurant because the food was yummy and the menu was interesting. It was recommended by the front desk at our hotel and seemed to be authentic piedmont food. Worth a visit!
