Pammy's Cambridge Reviews from The Last Year

Wonderful menu, super cool staff, a culinary adventure on the "choose your own adventure" menu with wine pairing. Definitely the best Boston restaurant experience in years.

Came for dinner and overall the food was pretty good but the portion sizes were very small. We were disappointed with how small the duck breast was - we expected it to about half of a duck breast but it was probably 1/6 of a duck breast. Overall the food we good, we had- squid, tuna tartare with caviar, mushrooms, and duck breast
A friend recommended this restaurant so we gave it a try.
We made a reservation for Wednesday night at dinner time. Warning: If you make a reservation, they asked to put a credit card in file (can cancel up to the day before, but if you don't show, you will pay. For 2, I think it was around 140 or 150). With this, we made a point of showing up. The restaurant was a little hard to find. There wasn't a big sign outside of it, but with a little help from my GPS, I was able to find it. The decor was very simple yet sophisticated. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by the staff and sat at our table. We sat at a very large table, and throughout the night, other parties joined the table. With the reservation, we knew that we'd have a fixed menu, and we'd be able to pick three items from it. It was a little unclear if drinks were included in that price and dessert was not. The food was tasty. However, the salmon was slightly undercooked for my taste and incredible salty. With the other food dishes and dessert, I definitely felt satisfied when I left. Our waitress wasn't the friendlist. She was kind of abrupt at times and seemed annoyed that we got caught up in conversation instead of looking at the menu. Furthermore, the restaurant wasn't very busy (it was before a holiday) and we stayed after our meal to talk. It was almost closing time, and there were other patrons in the restaurant still eating when they asked us to leave. However, it was a little abrupt and not the friendlist. It wasn't like we were holding up others from being sat, and our bill was paid. But I also get that the staff might want to go home too
If I lived nearby, I'd be a regular.
you would think that recommending "asparagus" and "carrots" would be mundane. Both of these dishes were fantastic. My daughter had the carrots and I had the asparagus. I love the bolognese. I didn't need a main course third dish, so when I go back I'm going to select two light dishes and one main. The wine by the glass selection is good. Service great. Lovely flowers. It's an A+.

Adore this place! Been here many times - the menu has never disappointed. Warm, inviting, lively - this space is reinvigorating. Service has always been spectacular. Attentiveness and recommendations have always been 10/10 and whether seated at a bistro table or the communal table, I've always had a lovely experience. The Gochujang Lumache - I'll get it every time. Comfort food perfection. The wine pairing is entirely worth it as well.
Came here for our Anniversary.
The place is pretty unassuming. Small simple marble tables. The decor consisted of painted brickwork. The natural light was nice not being too bright but still well lit. We started with the fresh baked bread, which had great flavor paired with a simple olive oil. We got drinks with good recommendations. I had the Mainstay which was a nice chilled lightly fruity gin drink. From there we were treated to a novel take on Italian cuisine. For me the standout was the Mafaldine with Stripe and spicy oil. The textures in the flavors matched what I've come to expect from a nicer prix fixe menu. The real stand out at Pammy's is the wait staff. They are pleasant, knowledgeable about the food and although we liked our waiter Casey, they worked together well and we had a few passing interactions with the other staff too. One of them agreed how ludicrous some of the plates were 'this shouldn't work, but it does!' You should go see the magic of what shouldn't work.

4.5 starts 79 bucks for 3 courses ( on the expensive side for size of dishes, but the quality and flavor of ingredients are a fair trade off) Cool vibe inside. Outside patio youre right on mass ave so enjoy the crack heads talking to to you. I recommend to just eat inside and enjoy the AC and cool vibe. Did 3 courses Dishes: 1)BRANZINO- 5/5 unique flavors and very tender fish. Turnip cake was so good and the fermented element really added to the dish. Highly recommended! 2)LUMACHE: 5/5 very pasta was very dense and has the perfect chew. The sauce was so savory. Highly recommended! 3)PORCELET 4/5 pork was cooked perfectly with crispy skin, but was oversalted. Flavor wise there was no real pop with the other components. It was good. Just nothing to write home about. Worth trying/ but I wouldn't get it again. I will prob come here once a month and work my way through the entire menu. Highly recommended.
This place is so delicious.
While we did have to wait over an hour for a table, the food did not disappoint. I got the octopus and lumache. The lumache is was out of this world, one of the best pastas I've ever tasted. So fresh and homemade. The octopus was good as well but literally the smallest portion ever so a bit underwhelming. I loved the sourdough bread that they give for free, it was so good. I would definitely come back but just stick to the pasta.

Pretty good! We enjoyed the lumache and porcelet, and the drinks were outstanding. Quibbles: a) C O N S T A N T server reaching over our plates of food (put things in the center then work your way out, don't put plates down close to you and then reach over them with the next one), b) after explaining an anaphylactic allergy, a dish we didn't order was brought to our table *containing* the allergen, left for a moment and then whisked away to the correct table -- I hope our plates weren't left to rest unsupervised with strangers before we received them, c) the "counter" is actually a giant noisy communal table in the middle of the restaurant (wasn't clear from the reservation), d) hostess clarified our reservation by guessing our surname (ask the guest the surname, don't throw out information like that), e) there's no need to constantly say "safe for a [blank] allergy" when you drop each dish -- I told you the allergy and you acknowledged it, I'll trust you to do your job, f) very very noisy. It's a 3.5 star place but the quantity of male arms hovering over our food was a bit gross, so rounded down to 3.
Delicious food and drinks in a cozy and dimly lit
Delicious food and drinks in a cozy and dimly lit restaurant! Reservations are only for the pre fix menu so we did walk in on a weekday evening and had about a 20-25 min wait. The food was delicious - tried the lumache (gochujang bolognese) which was unique but our FAVORITE was the wild mushroom lasagne over spring onion chutney! The Szechuan peppercorn spiced drinks are interesting - recommend trying since they are unique! Tried the bread pudding and it was yummy - the bread is soaked in the equivalent of melted vanilla ice cream and had almost a mochi texture. The bread used in the dessert is the same bread given at the beginning which is house made and so fluffy
Came here for dinner and sat at their communal table.
I thought all of the food I ordered was delicious, but quite expensive for the amount of food given. The service was great and they were very attentive to only give one entree at a time and waited until you finished before bringing out the next one. The communal table was a bit of a squeeze, but the place must be super popular since we had to reserve a couple weeks in advance!
Be sure to call to confirm your table type when making
Be sure to call to confirm your table type when making reservations via apps. Pammy's plays games with seating and think an extremely tight communal table is what you want when putting in a 2top reservation. Interior is extremely cramped with servers bumping up against you constantly. Definitely would not go back after this experience.
Pammy's was probably the most special dining experience
Pammy's was probably the most special dining experience I've ever had in my life. I'm rarely moved to write a review but after visiting Pammy's, I'm compelled to shed light on the lovely evening we had! From the moment we walked in, I could tell this restaurant was filled with people who have a very deep passion for dining and curating special experiences. The decor was stunning but not pretentious at all. The vibe was so warm, cozy, but also sleek. The staff went way above and beyond to make my husband and I feel special and well cared for. These were seriously professional people who know exactly how to care for guests, but in the coolest and humble way possible. They believe deeply in their menu and dining experience, and it really shows. Everything was just always taken care of! The food was so outstanding; my writing will barely due it justice! The tasting menu is superbly well crafted and just also has a fun selection of dishes to choose. I ordered the octopus for the appetizer, fusilli for the first course, and branzino for the entree. We chose the bread pudding with banana ice cream for dessert. Each bite was a delight, and the presentation just blew us away. Everything was so beautiful but again, not pretentious at all. The flavors were so unique. From appetizers to desserts, this restaurant exceeded all our expectations! Thank you so much, Pammy's, for the sweetest, coziest, delicious, and special meal

Upscale restaurant with high prices but fantastic food and service! Parking is a bit hard to find but usually can find street parking walking distance away from restaurant. The ambiance and mood is really nice during the summer because before sunset, naturally lighting floods in and when the sun is down, dim lighting helps set the mood. The server recommended us various dishes and cocktails! we made a reservation so the menus were fixed; each of us chose 3 dishes and shared. The portion sizes seemed small but 6 plates between two people was a good amount of food and their dessert was delicious (some chocolate torta)! The duck dish was my favorite dish it was so tender and the congee paired so well with it. It melted in your mouth! The bolognese and mushroom pastas were soo good and the bolognese had just the right amount of kick w the gochujang sauce they used. Pork chops were a little tougher but still good and the veal was cooked really well and very tender. Octopus is really hard to do but they did it well as it was extremely juicy and tender. The portion sizes are small for what I'm paying but would go back again once in a while on special occasions!
Really delicious food and drinks! The staff bringing out
Really delicious food and drinks! The staff bringing out our food were great and described every plate well. I would say the food is worth the price given how intricate and thought out each dish is. The octopus was amazing as well as the duck! Also the coat check was very appreciated. However, our main waitress was a bit rude. At one point, she put in a drink order incorrectly and then argued me that I had ordered it that way when I asked to send it back. My entire table had to back me up because they heard my order. After they chimed in, she stopped arguing with me but looked visibly annoyed and then apologized through gritted teeth before storming off... Overall still a really fun experience and most of the staff were incredible and very polite. Just bummed I was spoken to that way.
