Great Brunch
Excellent brunch at Parc. Cheerful, friendly reception and service throughout. Our server was really great- easily and without blinking accommodated several special requests. Food was outstanding and I saw several other things on the menu I would have liked as well. Well made drinks. Price to value ratio good. Highly recommended for brunch, I look forward to trying dinner
Be the first to ReplyFrench style and American pizazz
We booked but arrived a few minutes early. They seated us without fuss and we enjoyed a very good meal. The tuna carpaccio was beautifully delicate and the salade niçoise was excellent. There was a good choice of French wines (though we chose a Californian Zinfandel). Service was prompt and friendly. The place isn’t sure if it’s a brasserie or a bistro. I’d say probably the former. It’s too informal (on our experience) to be a bistro. It’s probably best to describe it as an American take on a brasserie. It was busy and buzzy. The bar looked to be well stocked, though we didn’t sample it very much.

Beautuful decor in classic old style. Awesome bar with awesome bartenders. Drinks were exceptional. Dinner was ok, except we were time-limited because we didn't have a reservation. We sat at 6PM and place was jammed by 645. Mushroom tart was large, but not hot and rather heavy. Beef bourguignon was tasty, but again, not served warm enough . Half chicken was juicy, but again, not hot. Pureed pomme were very tasty, but not hot. Extensive wine list is a bit pricy. Our time constraint prevented us from sending our food back to be warmed, but we'd give it another chance because the service was excellent and the place is just that gorgeous.
Be the first to Reply"Good experience - expensive wine"
The cost of the wine spoilt our evening!!! On arrival we were told that the table would be 40 minutes so we waited next to the bar area. I asked the bar tender for a bottle of Haut Rian from the menu, as it was the cheapest by glass, and he said he would transfer the bill to our table. I made a mistake by not asking him the price of the bottle!!! We were served a lovely meal, two steaks (76$), Lobster Risotto (45$) and Duck (39$) plus side of mashed potatoes, the food was excellent. However the duck was small and they could have added another piece of duck breast to the plate (photo attached). When we received the bill I noticed the bottle of wine was not included, and being honest I told the waiter. He returned with a new bill and the wine was 75$, I was disappointed as the wine is mediocre and costs around 20$ outside. I don't mind a 50% mark up in a restaurant but this is far too much. I was going to argue the price, as the whole bill was now 281.22$. The staff were friendly and atmosphere very good, so I would return but not buy the wine. Its a pity as it ruined the evening, lesson learned, ask for the price of the wine, if not on a wine list/menu.

Wonderful atmosphere with fantastic views of Rittenhouse Square. Tamia provided service with a smile. My son and I enjoyed our fruity Greek yogurt and fluffy pancakes. And check out the bathroom: I’ve never heard such great audio - classical music at full blast. Then again, the restaurant is across the street from the Curtis Institute.

We’ve been to Parc several times, and have had lovely experiences. Unfortunately last night was not one of those, steak was actually cold when it arrived to table (as in the butter on top was not even slightly melted!) in fairness, it was a busy night, and when pointed out to our server she did sent it back, but by the time my dinner arrived everyone else was finished theirs - disappointing and pricy evening. that said, the beet salad was outstanding as was the bread!

Had a chance to have dinner here with some friends and had a wonderful experience. In the past, I will come here for brunch, but this time I was lucky enough to come for dinner. The restaurant itself is a true bistro experience and you do feel like you’re in Paris. The food is fantastic from appetizers to dessert. Very attentive staff. Highly recommended!

Lovely breakfast in a charming French cafe. French toast was lovely and so was the omelette. My partner says this was one of the best omelettes he’s had anywhere and the breakfast potatoes were sensational.
Be the first to ReplyGreat place in a very good restaurant area
My first visit. Went with my family who lives in the area. I have eaten at many of the restaurants in the area over the years and there are several very good ones. The Parc rates right up there at the top on quality of food, service and atmosphere. I had their veal, and it was excellent. Definitely one of the preferred places into area to go. I'll definitely return next time I visit.
Be the first to ReplyA Philly Classic
I had a lovely evening at Parc. It was recommended in every restaurant guide I came across prior to my trip - something of a Philly institution - a well loved & long established part of the city dining fabric. It’s a huge enterprise, with a spacious buzzy Parisian brasserie styled interior, plus an array of pavement tables, including a covered section of outdoor seating. The location near Rittenhouse Square is ideal, & the restaurant oozes buzz & atmosphere. Despite the rush, service was efficient & friendly, as was the greeting. Food was also very good, the menu full of french bistro crowd pleasers like onion soup & moules & frites. Loved it!!

Wow, what an amazing brunch! The moment you walk into this place you really feel like you’re in a Parisian brasserie. Everything about this restaurant was fantastic. The baked goods are out of this world. Service was FANTASTIC! Can’t wait to go back.
Be the first to ReplyMoules Not Stored Properly????
Beautiful restaurant but I'll get to the chase. on Thursday March 2 my mother ordered moules frites and subsequently went home and threw them up 2 hours later. I don't know for sure that the moules was the reason but it is the only thing that she ate that I did not eat that day. And we all know how perishable moules can be. Just saying.... It's a stunning, fun, restaurant with a great vibe. We arrive around 6:30PM and it was packed so we had to wait a bit for a table but not too long. Service was just ok. I think the waitress was not happy that we just ordered one main course each, no drinks, and we two took up a table for four. Served promptly. Bread was outrageous. We bot a loaf of raison, nut for $10 to take home; also available baguette for $5. Yes, I would return and this time make a reservation. But wouldn't chance the moules again.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was lively. Our only complaint was that it was quite loud. We would definitely return.
Be the first to ReplyParc Brasserie Never Dissapoints
We had the pleasure to eat at Parc Brasserie 3 times on our last visit to Philly. Stopped in for a drink and mid afternoon snack, Friday night dinner and Monday afternoon lunch. Each visit we were warmly greeted and seated quickly. The staff was both professional and friendly. The drinks from the bar were excellent and bread basket is a must! The moules et frites were fabulous and I would highly recommend them to everyone. If you are visiting Philly please take the time to visit Rittenhouse Square. And there is no better spot to enjoy the scenery and people watch than Park Brasserie with an outside table.

Fun brasserie on Rittenhouse Square. The duck a l'orange and moules et frites were outstanding. The place is very busy and makes for fun people-watching.

Great spot in Philly! My favorite place. The bar in itself is amazing and they offer you a bread basket because the place is always packed. Make reservations early!
Be the first to ReplyPleasant afternoon experience
My friend and I stopped at Parc for midday cocktails. To start, our server, Talbert, was exceptional. In fact, he made the entire experience for us. Attentive, friendly and accommodating. Our cocktails were tasty and well prepared. The bread was delicious. We sat outside on a mild January day and were kept sufficiently warm by the heaters. We look forward to going back for a meal.
Be the first to ReplyFrench brasserie in Rittenhouse Square
Excellent restaurant in the middle of Rittenhouse Square. We ate here on arts weekend in Philadelphia. The food was very good. The hangar steak frites and the beef Bourguignon were super, just what we needed on a cold January night. Desserts we’re terrific. We had the pot de crème and profiteroles and enjoyed them thoroughly. Service was very good. The restaurant is within walking distance from all of the major hotels including the Kimpton, Sofitel and Westin.

Loved the funky mid-century modern atmosphere. Service was excellent; food very, very good. Had a great lunch on a fun day in Philly.
Be the first to ReplyNot bad but not very good either
I’d like to start by saying I leave a number of reviews here and hate to leave negative ones, but I call them as I see them, YMMV (your mileage may vary). This place isn’t bad but I wouldn’t call it very good either. I’ve been to a number of other Starr restaurants before and agree with those that said this is overrated. Took my family there for a last minute getaway. In general felt the food was overpriced for what it was and what I had was a bit salty. I had the NY Strip steak and asked for fries instead of the garlic spinach. Was happy they accommodated and the fries weren’t bad, but definitely on the salty side (as other reviewers had commented). But I felt the strip was a better steak than the hangar steak so went with that. Was the strip good? Wasn’t bad but also not feeling it was worth the $40 (I know they are pricier at a nice steakhouse but just wasn’t feeling it). Overall the steak was lead and had a decent flavor, but the outside charred seasoning definitely was a salt lick. Took away from the experience in my opinion (and I’m someone who is usually generously salting my steak). French onion soup was excellent though. Wife and son had the Salmon Tartare appetizer and it was so-so (we usually go for Tuna Tartare apps and this was on the just ok end). 11 year old has the cheeseburger and fries and liked it (and you should like a cheeseburger that cost $24…again a bit much for what it was . 8 year old has the spaghetti bolognese. He liked it (but he’s 8). My wife tried it and said it just wasn’t a very good bolognese. Wife’s Rose pours were a bit on the small side for wine and my Nicoise Martini was just ok. On the small side and didn’t feel that strong for $16. The free bread though was excellent. So there you have it. Just okay food in a nice location. Inside on the energetic lively side (aka noisy). 4 entrees, 2 apps, 1 cocktail and 3 glasses of wine came to just under $300 with tip. I think for same price in city you can do better. I think if they offered a children’s menu with lower priced offerings for kids would have been a little more palatable…but again, YMMV.
