Parish Cafe & Bar Boston Reviews from The Last Year
Boston day trip with family and friends.
After doing a bunch of tours we were looking for somewhere to eat an early dinner before leaving the city. We walked up to the restaurant and it seemed very nice so decided to try it out. The service, cocktails and meals were above our expectations. I had the Boylston bowl with steak and it was the best meal I had all week. Friends had the smash burger, calamari, pork belly sandwich and some appys. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area.
Zuni Roll Delicious
We came upon this place on Boyleston Street on way to Boston Common right down the street. Outdoor seating is available. The menu is very eclectic and has some things you may have never tried. Its chock full of different chefs' specialties. Trust me, try something different than standard cafe food. We got the Zuni roll which was absolutely delicious. Wait staff very attentive. Give it a try. The Zuni Roll from CHEF NORMA GILLESPIE - sliced turkey, crispy bacon, chopped scallions, dill havarti cheese, cranberry chipotle sauce, on a warm flour tortilla, served with potato salad

I visited here with a friend for lunch on a busy weekend, and was happy to be seated almost immediately. This restaurant is so close to the Boston Common, so it's an ideal place to stop and eat if you're in the downtown or Back Bay area. I always had this restaurant on my "must try" list since I've heard great things - and although I think it was good, it's definitely a bit overrated in my opinion. Their sandwich selection here is HUGE and consists of a lot of unique flavors and varieties. However, these sandwiches are also incredibly expensive.... like, $20 minimum. After much deliberation, I ordered "The Fox" sandwich which came with a side of chips. The meat and veggies were fresh and tasty, but I was surprised how overwhelming the "chili relish" spread was. I feel like I'm pretty tolerant of spice, but this spread was so spicy that I almost couldn't even finish the food. I'm not sure if they put more on than usual or something, but I really wouldn't order this again. Besides this, it was still good but definitely not worth the $25 it cost me.
Visiting Boston on business.
My group and I went here for lunch and it was stellar. I had the Zuni Roll and I wish I could get another. The onion ring apps were very tasty. The beer selection is pretty good and the staff recommendations were spot on. Staff was great as well and attentive. Highly recommend.
3/20/24 Wednesday I ordered my food about 40 mins ago.
Parish can you please make sure you give the delivery person everything that the customer PAID FOR? Order #767325620915069 I Ordered PARISH SMASH BURGER Burger $27.08 and Saratoga Sparkling Water $5.90 YOU DIDN'T RECEIVE my water that I paid $6 bucks for! I like your food but I will not be ordering again from this place! This is messed up that I was ROBBED of my beverage I paid for but didn't GET!!

We went here because it looks crowded so we thought it meant it would be great, the issue is with the crowd came a wait. It seemed like they were understaffed, people were running around but we still had long waits and no one came to clean our table or refill our drinks. The food was good, we got the fox, it was large enough to share. The bread made the sandwich!

For some reason, Parish Cafe never entered my radar as a place to try, even though I had walked past it dozens of times. At the suggestion of a friend who had been before, however, I tried it out to great & welcome surprise. Their simple chicken entree seemed cooked to perfection. The breaded chicken cutlet had just the right amount of breading to soak up the savory, buttery pan sauce without overwhelming the dish. The addition of capers and vibrant tomatoes added a delightful contrast of flavors, making every bite irresistible. Their Peanut Butter Cocktail actually tasted like peanut butter in the best possible way. Smooth, creamy, and utterly delicious. Their sandwiches arrive on quality bread. One that I tried arrived on focaccia rosemary bread, which puts other focaccias to shame. Each bite proved more aromatic than the last, but somehow without overwhelming the other ingredients in the sandwhich.
This is one of my all time favorite lunch spots.
I've had the lamb sandwich, eggplant Milanese, chicken Shwarma, and the chicken wings. A little pricey but worth it.
Tasty sandwiches and huge beer selection
Amazing light supper in Boston. Incredible Parish chicken sandwich was delicious. Beautifully cooked chicken with an amazing combination of flavors.... best chicken sandwich I have ever had, Huge beer selection for the aficionado. My wife enjoyed "Rachel's Hot Sister". Prices were reasonable and service excellent.
A hit every time.
BIG sandwiches with generous sides... but don't miss the onion rings either. Beer selection is great, service is great. Ambience is pub-ish but I find a variety of people of all ages here. Vegetarians should note that substitutions for sandwiches are the best way to get a good combo. Don't settle for anything, and keep in mind both the exceptional truffle and exceptional saffron aiolis. Bon apetit! I can't wait to go back.
Nice Lunch Choice
This is a casual restaurant in Back Bay. We had a very good lunch. The menu has decent variety, and my tomato bisque was quite good. The Bowl of Rings is worth having for the table too.

Have been to Parish a handful of times over the last ten years, and so glad we made a more recent visit! My partner and I ordered the Fox and Le Mistral sandwiches, plus taquitos - TASTE: 5/5 - the Fox was phenomenal. The combo of pickled onions, apple, chili relish, and lemon vinaigrette: chef's kiss for amazing balance! Le Mistral was just as comforting as I remembered w its savory beef and truffle aioli. Enjoyed the melted, sharp cheddar cheese of the taquitos and the side of salsa, w cilantro and tomatoes, was addicting TEXTURE: 4/5 - appreciated the tender focaccia and breaded pork in the Fox, and the taquitos were well fried and crisp PRICE: 4/5 - prices have definitely gone up since we last visited, but the concept of sandwiches created by local chefs comes through in the food and makes it worth it SERVING SIZE: 5/5 - we were looking for a light lunch, and definitely left full w leftovers to take home too lol SERVICE: 5/5 - walked in at noon on a Sunday and Parish filled up quickly. The owner's wife was super friendly and took the time to chat w us about the menu and restaurant itself. We've never felt so welcome in a space before! ATMOSPHERE: 4/5 - narrow and busy spot w fun touches in the decor and bar PARKING: 4/5 - as always, parking can be tough on Newbury St and the Copley area. We got a street spot on St James Ave x Berkeley St and walked the few blocks over
foods too good.
Service is fantastic. it feels like you're in heaven. BEST PLACE EVER!!!!!!!!! can't wait to come back
Nice place for a quick lunch.
They have a great selection of sandwiches and wraps. We had the turkey wrap and it was delicious, the meat was soft and the other ingredients were fresh. The service is quick and friendly.

Prepaid Reservation Fee

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
