I visited here with a friend for lunch on a busy weekend, and was happy to be seated almost immediately. This restaurant is so close to the Boston Common, so it's an ideal place to stop and eat if you're in the downtown or Back Bay area. I always had this restaurant on my "must try" list since I've heard great things - and although I think it was good, it's definitely a bit overrated in my opinion. Their sandwich selection here is HUGE and consists of a lot of unique flavors and varieties. However, these sandwiches are also incredibly expensive.... like, $20 minimum. After much deliberation, I ordered "The Fox" sandwich which came with a side of chips. The meat and veggies were fresh and tasty, but I was surprised how overwhelming the "chili relish" spread was. I feel like I'm pretty tolerant of spice, but this spread was so spicy that I almost couldn't even finish the food. I'm not sure if they put more on than usual or something, but I really wouldn't order this again. Besides this, it was still good but definitely not worth the $25 it cost me.

My group and I went here for lunch and it was stellar. I had the Zuni Roll and I wish I could get another. The onion ring apps were very tasty. The beer selection is pretty good and the staff recommendations were spot on. Staff was great as well and attentive. Highly recommend.

Parish can you please make sure you give the delivery person everything that the customer PAID FOR? Order #767325620915069 I Ordered PARISH SMASH BURGER Burger $27.08 and Saratoga Sparkling Water $5.90 YOU DIDN'T RECEIVE my water that I paid $6 bucks for! I like your food but I will not be ordering again from this place! This is messed up that I was ROBBED of my beverage I paid for but didn't GET!!

We went here because it looks crowded so we thought it meant it would be great, the issue is with the crowd came a wait. It seemed like they were understaffed, people were running around but we still had long waits and no one came to clean our table or refill our drinks. The food was good, we got the fox, it was large enough to share. The bread made the sandwich!

For some reason, Parish Cafe never entered my radar as a place to try, even though I had walked past it dozens of times. At the suggestion of a friend who had been before, however, I tried it out to great & welcome surprise. Their simple chicken entree seemed cooked to perfection. The breaded chicken cutlet had just the right amount of breading to soak up the savory, buttery pan sauce without overwhelming the dish. The addition of capers and vibrant tomatoes added a delightful contrast of flavors, making every bite irresistible. Their Peanut Butter Cocktail actually tasted like peanut butter in the best possible way. Smooth, creamy, and utterly delicious. Their sandwiches arrive on quality bread. One that I tried arrived on focaccia rosemary bread, which puts other focaccias to shame. Each bite proved more aromatic than the last, but somehow without overwhelming the other ingredients in the sandwhich.
Be the first to ReplyThis is one of my all time favorite lunch spots.
I've had the lamb sandwich, eggplant Milanese, chicken Shwarma, and the chicken wings. A little pricey but worth it.

BIG sandwiches with generous sides... but don't miss the onion rings either. Beer selection is great, service is great. Ambience is pub-ish but I find a variety of people of all ages here. Vegetarians should note that substitutions for sandwiches are the best way to get a good combo. Don't settle for anything, and keep in mind both the exceptional truffle and exceptional saffron aiolis. Bon apetit! I can't wait to go back.

Have been to Parish a handful of times over the last ten years, and so glad we made a more recent visit! My partner and I ordered the Fox and Le Mistral sandwiches, plus taquitos - TASTE: 5/5 - the Fox was phenomenal. The combo of pickled onions, apple, chili relish, and lemon vinaigrette: chef's kiss for amazing balance! Le Mistral was just as comforting as I remembered w its savory beef and truffle aioli. Enjoyed the melted, sharp cheddar cheese of the taquitos and the side of salsa, w cilantro and tomatoes, was addicting TEXTURE: 4/5 - appreciated the tender focaccia and breaded pork in the Fox, and the taquitos were well fried and crisp PRICE: 4/5 - prices have definitely gone up since we last visited, but the concept of sandwiches created by local chefs comes through in the food and makes it worth it SERVING SIZE: 5/5 - we were looking for a light lunch, and definitely left full w leftovers to take home too lol SERVICE: 5/5 - walked in at noon on a Sunday and Parish filled up quickly. The owner's wife was super friendly and took the time to chat w us about the menu and restaurant itself. We've never felt so welcome in a space before! ATMOSPHERE: 4/5 - narrow and busy spot w fun touches in the decor and bar PARKING: 4/5 - as always, parking can be tough on Newbury St and the Copley area. We got a street spot on St James Ave x Berkeley St and walked the few blocks over

Stumbled into this restaurant on a Saturday night, and was amazed at how good the food was. Kids had chicken fingers and Mac & cheese & raved about the flavor. I had the hot and cold chicken salad and the dressing was amazing - I ate the whole thing! Husband had the Zuni roll and couldn't get over how tasty the cranberry sauce was. A little pricey but definitely worth it. All the staff was wonderful, great vibe, nice and clean.

Be the first to ReplyYum! A popular spot that meets the hype.
I had the Bristol and it was excellent! It was a great balance of the grilled chicken and aioli without being too heavy. The potato leek soup also really hit the spot! Prices are a bit on the high side for just a sandwich, but probably appropriately priced for bring Back Bay. We came for an early lunch around 11:30 on a Saturday and were seated immediately. Once we left closer to 1, there was a long line of people waiting. If you're craving a good sandwich in the area, Parish Cafe is an excellent choice!

Be the first to ReplyI've gotten pretty much everything on the menu by now and
I've gotten pretty much everything on the menu by now and so far a fan of everything. The last few things I got were a tuna burger, a noodle dish, and now my favorite is the Genesis (essentially a fried chicken burger with habanero bbq & slaw). The appetizers are also on point, usually go with hummus or the reggae wings.Ambiance is good, it's a decent size for the area and feels like a high quality place. What makes the place even better is the folks who work there. The service is great--everyone from servers, hosts, and bartenders. They do have TVs going on usually with sports if you're into that. During warm days the patio can get packed because it's on a busy street but it's good to know there's that option of sitting there and taking all of Boston in. Aside from their amazing food & service another thing that this place got right is their beer selection, holy smokes! My friends and I are very much into the beer scene and whoever is in charge of the beers here clearly knows their stuff! They have sours, tons of IPAs, stouts and just about everything in between. Not much of a hard alcohol drinker but I was convinced to try some of their mixed drinks and I even enjoyed those. A fantastic place to become a regular and attempt to become a part of their mug club!
