The most superb customer service experience that I've had
The most superb customer service experience that I've had in the last year has to be Park Hyatt. I stayed over New Year's eve for a couple of nights and they consistently provided fast and immediate service upon every request. The pool was always clean, and the help was open to answering any questions regarding hours and even went out of their way to providing extra towels/toiletries. The cherry on top was that I left my bag after brunch and the staff came running after me to make sure I got my bag. Overall ambiance of the hotel was 5/5, staff customer service was 5/5, and cleanliness was 5/5. Would definitely go back!

Prefer Park Hyatt over Baccarat and Equinox Hotel. Le Labo toiletries are an awesome perk.Staff are very attentive and turndown service was great.Showers are huge with great pressure and the water temp actually gets hot.Convenient location in midtown. Liquor store right beside the hotel. Bluebottle a few blocks away, 5th Ave a few blocks away. The building itself is somewhat short. I think only 25 or 25 floors (don't quote me on that.) Despite the lack of height, the high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows are incredible. Spa and pool in the hotel is AWESOME. Highly recommend.Check out the nearby Italian restaurant Felice. Their pesto gnocchi was chefs kiss. Biggest piece of feedback is that they need a complete renovation and redesign of the bar area. Every time I've walked by, it's been dead and it also closes really easy. Baccarat gets the vote on this one, having a gorgeous bar/lounge in the hotel that attracts more than just the guests.
Be the first to ReplyWe had a nice time here for Christmas.
It was so cold during our stay, so we just canceled our dinner and had room service- it was also lovely! The location is awesome, and the fitness is also in excellent condition. We didn't try their pool, but it looks cool too.

Beautiful hotel, elegant, clean rooms, pleasant and attentive staff. The location was perfect for our needs. It was close to shops, restaurants, and Central Park. It was easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go. We had been on a red eye flight and landed early in the morning. They let us check in early and that was a godsend!

I just had a fabulous four days day at the park Hyatt, New York. Very elegant, sophisticated vibe, & minimalist approach. What stands out to me the most, is how incredible the staff is at the hotel. Starting from the doorman, to the Bellman, the restaurant, staff, front desk, concierge, and housekeeping, everyone works together and they are there to give you the absolute best experience possible. The rooms are very well appointed. Nice bedding, great towels, & water pressure is amazing in the showers. I also absolutely love the spa with the incredible sweeping views of central park. The "living room" restaurant was delicious, I enjoyed every meal, and highly recommend the Park Hyatt, New York. Also, I needed the concierge to send a Messenger out to pick up some things, and they did it so quickly and efficiently. It's all these tiny details, including making reservations for us last minute, that mean the most to me.

Finally got to stay at what many consider to be the flagship property in the Hyatt network. We were here for the US open and it was an incredibly busy weekend. Still they upgraded us from standard suite to a one bedroom residential suite that was 1100 sq ft (incredible by NYC standards and larger than my apartment at home) and went for a cash rate of almost 4 grand per night. The pool and gym and were small but well appointed. I enjoyed using the steam room and jacuzzi as well. I recommend taking breakfast down in the Living Room instead of room service. We found the room service portions to be small and quality just ok. The New York breakfast turned out to just be your standard smoked salmon bagel.

Super disappointed for the price and for the non-attempts to fix basic problems ("sorry about that, we can charge you more to move to a different room without that problem"). I only complain when things are REALLY wrong and at a certain point you kind of just give up vs complain about every single major issue. This is one of those places where that happened to us, I'm done complaining -- shame on me for staying here. Won't do it again.1. We got two connecting rooms...one was a "1 bedroom suite" but was a studio (just one big room with the bedroom in the middle). I asked if we got the right room and the answer was "it's the same size" -- but it wasn't the floor plan, it wasn't what we paid for, and I was told I could switch to a different room for $250/night. Uh, no. 2. I wrote the reservation office about this, they found another set of two rooms for us to switch to, so we packed everything up and moved...only to find that the blinds don't work in the double studio. These are automatic blinds with no way of closing manually. And it's a "sloped" room so lots of light gets in. I complained, asked them to fix, and...still no fix. 3. Good luck calling the front desk -- nobody ever picks up. 4. The breakfast was so bad on the first day that we decided to skip the free breakfast and pay for *anything* anywhere else. Bread was stale, service terrible, etc. Save your money and go elsewhere.
Be the first to ReplyAs a globalist, this place is amazing.
The room service breakfast was really good and complimentary for globalist. Meanwhile, the selection of breakfast at their restaurant in the lobby is far from excellent. You get pastry and sauces and such at the restaurant. Room service has steak, omelette and others. It is way better. Price is not cheap if you have to pay. But if you are staying at Park Hyatt, I hope that shouldn't be an issue. Room is amazing. I mean. Heated bathroom floor? Not many hotels do that. High end shampoo and soap. Nice decoration. Very comfortable bed. Bathroom had everything you need. Wife was in loveTheir indoor salt water heated pool is one of the best I have seen. Very clean. Very well maintained. Life guarded. Has water, towel and everything. And its beautiful! Its not getting 5 stars from me because service was almost non-existent. Took forever to get find someone to vallet us or get our car from vallet. They also need to do a better job at room upgrade for globalist.

A clean and well-maintained hotel in a wonderful area! It was a short and pleasant stay at the Park Hyatt and I definitely would not hesitate to stay here again. The concierge was fast and friendly and they even gave us drink vouchers to enjoy at the hotel bar, Sweetbriar. And speaking of Sweetbriar, it was fab. There was a live band playing and this was the perfect spot to end the night.Rooms are as spacious as they can be for Manhattan. Most importantly, beds and pillows were super comfortable. Not much else to say because it was a very short stay, but really you can't go wrong. I'm only knocking off a star because no water bottles were included, and that always frustrates me at hotels. Especially when the nightly rate can be so high. I often stay at the Giraffe up the street for work, and there you can find unlimited water bottles, snacks and breakfast. Regardless I'd still stay again because of cleanliness and location.

Perfectly located in Central Park south, close to fifth ave shopping and the met and just a few blocks from the subway. Park Hyatt shows hospitality. Rooms were large for New York City standards. The soaking tub in the bathroom was such a nice way to warm up after walking around in 12° weather. Only downsides was we were having issues with our door where it wouldn't read our keys and couldn't get back into our room multiple times. Turns out the reader needed the batteries replaced. Other than that - the stay in Park Hyatt was one for the books.
Be the first to ReplyI recently stayed at the Park Hyatt in New York City for
I recently stayed at the Park Hyatt in New York City for two nights, and it's probably the best hotel experience I've had in NYC. I chose Park Hyatt over St. Regis for their modern, minimalist aesthetic. First off, the hotel is located in a fantastic location, close to many points of interest: Central Park, Columbus Circle, 5th Ave, etc.The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, especially for NYC. We got upgraded to a one-bedroom suite and had plenty of space to work. We actually had two bathrooms and two closets in the suite. The rooms are relatively high-tech: motorized shades/blinds, heated floors, toto toilets, etc. I found the bed to be very comfortable and slept well.I took advantage of the amenities like the gym and pool/hot tub. I'll never forget the experience of soaking in the hot tub after a hard workout while relishing in the city views. If you stay here, be sure to take advantage of all the amenities.A couple of things to note:I booked a studio suite with a view and got upgraded to a more expensive, larger, one-bedroom suite without a view. I regret not asking about the view because that was one of the selling points of the initial room that I booked. So, if they try to upgrade you, ask about the views! The room service items are insanely expensive. Something like $46 for lox bagel, if I remember correctly. I was so offended by the prices that I didn't order anything from room service during my stay. I get it, NY is expensive. Park Hyatt is expensive. But $46 for a lox bagel? No, thanks.
Be the first to ReplyRecently did a 3 night stint here over NYE.
This hotel has the best hard product I've ever enjoyed and top notch service. It was an absolute killer redemption for WoH points during a holiday that had outrageous cash rates. TL;DR: Amazing hard product, great service, oozes luxury, but could use a little work here and there for what you expect from a Park Hyatt. As with many NYC hotels, you have to take an elevator and a few turns and twist to get to the lobby. The lobby is bright, modern, and inviting. Checked in a little over an hour prior to official check in, but they found a room for me with a slight upgrade to a Deluxe room (better view). The Good:The hard product is where PHNYC stands out. The rooms are massive by NYC comparisons. Overall a modern and sleek feel...a bit moody, very James Bond like (darker than the lobby). Accent/mood lighting behind all of the furniture really made everything pop.A lot of tech and automation in the room: nightlights in the bathroom, shades, blackout curtains, etc. Ipad in the room displaying different services, menus, and amenities offered. There's an actual hallway as an entrance that leads to a giant leather trolley that houses a safe, laundry, and shoe shine station. Two massive closets, one with drawers, allowed for 2 people to fully unpack and hang all our clothes. The bathroom is more like a mini spa. The toilet and shower have their own doors within the bathroom. The rainfall shower water pressure was a bit overwhelming, but I really enjoyed it. The tub is deep and large. I was able to watch a football game while soaking in the tub as the bathroom mirror had a TV with remote. The Le Labo bathroom amenities were amazing, bath salts included. Don't forget the heated tile floors. The mini bar isn't so mini and opens up into this slick standing chest of goodies. Complimentary bottled water, nespresso, and tea were continually restocked throughout the stay. Be prepared for $40 split bottles of wine and $12 beers though. The 25th floor houses the spa, pool, hot tub, steam room, and gym. One night the pool and hot tub was completely packed with no seats. Another day I was the only person in there. The gym is extremely nice with about every type of machine and free weights you could ask for. A nice touch to the steam room was a giant rainfall shower that you could quickly cool down with cold water or even hot. The staff at the front desk and concierge were extremely helpful. I asked for a few recommendations in the area and they provided stores in the area with names of people to ask for. The Service from housekeeping and turn down service was AMAZING. They did a really nice job cleaning during the day and then quietly tidying everything up in the evening while we were out. Fresh flowers in the bathroom and slippers on a linen bedside was a nice touch during turndown. These type of small details is what really sets the PHNYC apart from other places. The Bad:The lobby restaraunt leaves a bit to be desired. Breakfast was a disaster. Service was incredibly slow and we were constantly looking around for server. Wrong items brought to table. I got double charged on a few items, 10-15 minutes to correct it without any apology. Then I notice instead of the 18% mandatory tip/service charge, it was actually doubled into 36%. So my breakfast tab went from $126 originally to $86, big difference. When I asked my server about the service charge being double he said he had no idea and would call the manager. The manager comes and "fixes it", server just drops the tab in front of me and walks off. No one explains what happened or even says a word. Walking back to my room the front desk asked how my day was going and I gave them a brief not so great. They made sure the Culinary Director came and talked to me. He ended up comping my breakfast and one of my other room service charges, so kudos for making it right and making a guest feel heard. The nitpicky:Some service was slow. 15-20 minutes for bellman to bring up bags but us in a bit of rush for dinner plans. I'm fine with no ice machines available to the public, but waiting 20-30 minutes for someone to bring ice everytime is a bit inconvenient. Don't expect amazing views from the hotel. Most of the floors closer to the ground, we were on 16, so it just looked directly into another building. Overall, this is an absolutely amazing hotel. It was a bucket list stay for me and did not dissapoint. I always ask myself at the end of my stay...would I return? Absolutely! TL;DR: Amazing hard product, great service, oozes luxury, but could use a little work here and there for what you expect from a Park Hyatt.

My wife and I came to NYC to shop and visit the Christmas markets. The Park Hyatt is super luxe and the service was what you would expect at such a fine hotel. Our room was incredible with a very comfortable bed, a large tub, a luxurious shower, television in the bathroom mirror, and well appointed room. The hotel is a short walk to Central Park and Columbus Circle. We look forward to a return visit soon.
Be the first to ReplyPark Hyatt truly embodies what a 5 star hotel should be.
Room service is 24 hours, Fitness Center is 24 hours, and the pool is open late until 9 PM. The front desk is friendly and really try their hardest to ensure you have a nice stay. Staying here is quite expensive, I think it's the most expensive hotel in this area as the room was around $1600 starting. I was able to reserve a room with my AAA discount, so if you have AAA use it, saves you like a few bucks. I had an issue with my room as my original room faced an ugly building. The city view is the view that you want. Don't get anything else or else you will be looking at old creepy buildings and roof tops. They tried really hard and accommodated our special request and got us a room upgrade for very little money (got a suite). The room is very high tech, there is motion sensor lights, lights are computer controlled, blinds were computer controlled, there is a bidet, there were 3 TVs, one in the bedroom, one in the mirror and one in the living room. I had issues with the blinds in my unit as they weren't rolling up and down smoothly. The TV ergonomic in the bedroom needs some work as it's too low when you lay in bed.The bathrooms were nice. The bathtub is very deep but it fills very slow. The shower is amazing, there are two shower heads but you can use both at the same time! The water flow is amazing from the rain shower and it feels like it's flooding you. Poor ergonomics on the door though as when you open and close the door, it pushes/drags the floor towel. The toilet is very nice, it's a bidet toilet and it's heated. Paper products aren't the highest quality, toilet paper feels and rough and the tissues are also thin and rough. The bed is comfy, it feels like a spring mattress with a memory foam pad. The bedding is on the softer side and is less rough. There aren't any USB charging ports on the nightstand though so you need to use your normal brick, there is USB charging ports next to the desk, however it charges really slow. The room service is great, it's 24 hours and the breakfast is fantastic. Definitely worth the money. Dinner is very light, not much of a real dinner on the menu. Lunch is legit food. The amenities are nice, the hot tub and pool are indoors and the hot tub is nice and hot. There is also a sauna in there as well. The pool is indoors but not heated. There are towels and water bottles. I recommend just wearing your robe from the room into the pool area. Mine unfortunately was dirty in the room with stains. Disgusting. Overall, this hotel is really nice. You need to ensure that you have a nice view. One down fall is that the hotel isn't that tall. It only goes up to 24 floors for rooms and 25th floor is the pool and fitness center. So you don't want to be looking at other peoples roof tops or an old building, you want the city view. If you are paying this much money, you want the view. There were some issues with my room and things like my dirty robe which doesn't score it 5/5. Requesting things were really slow from the front desk, had to call twice. I even had to wait for my room to be ready which lead to the lobby filling up.
Be the first to ReplyEnjoyed my stay while in New York.
It will run you $1000 a night because of its location. It's worth the price when im there for business. Hot Tub is nice if you want to simply relax. When searching for an upscale Hotel look no further...this Hotel is Perfect
Be the first to ReplyWe stayed 3 nights and it was the perfect getaway.
The location was ideal for being close to Central Park and Broadway. Everything we needed was within walking distance. Every staff member we encountered were awesome. We had a great view of Carnegie Hall. The room was great and relaxing. We loved the bathroom and shower (heated floors). We can't wait to stay here again.
