Amazing!
We booked a window table for dinner at Peak. The views were amazing. The food, wine and service were all excellent. A perfect and incredibly memorable way to celebrate my birthday!
Be the first to ReplyGreat value, great view, very good food! But be careful what table you get...
TL:DR - We had a phenomenal Time and it's worth every penny. The food was superb! Seriously, many of our friends kept asking if it was "worth it" e.g. we all were assuming you pay more for view then for food quality: well, Not so! My wife's lobster-dish was over the top succulent. And I have to rate The Peak's Foie Gras appetizer as one of the best I've eaten in a long time. Service was very good: our server was very cool and supportive and everyone very attentive. Great staff. Lastly: our table (we got lucky, it was an "end unit” of sorts, e.g. 3 seater table for a couple) was very very nice, not squished into between two other tables and we BOTH could enjoy the view. However, now that we're aware of seating arrangement, here’s one advice: IF you sit at the window and you get a "real" 2 seater table e.g. squished in between two other 2-seaters, I now realize: that's a raw deal! One person sit's with the back to the window! Only one person gets to see the view. I get it that The Peak wants to maximize occupancy but.. had we been gotten that squished 2 seater at the window, we'd be bitter disappointed: The neighbors are very close, you can overhear every word on each side, and you better like the other couple(s) since you borderline make elbow contact. And did I mention: one person would not get the view. And one more thing: don't stress arriving before sunset, the sunset is "on the other side" e.g. you wouldn't see any sunset. You do get a nice dusk-night effect with lights "coming on". Overall: Great view, great food, great value, we def. would like to visit again!

Wonderful Dinner with our lovely family, elevated menu, a ,perfect service, the choose of the ingredients 5 stars, incredible view in the 101 floor
Be the first to ReplyGreat even for a tourist spot
First time visiting Peak restaurant and it was a great experience for a delayed valentine's night by about 6 days. The views were outstanding on a rainy, cloudy, foggy night but that soon passed as a reason to dine here. The best part was the staff as everyone on the staff was friendly, helpful and professional. They offered comments on what choices on and added to the menu were loved by other customers. They offered to take photos for us. The food choices were outstanding I had the Filet which was buttery and cooked to perfection for my medium request and my girlfriend loved the Halibut entree both the main and grilled sides. We had 2 apps the East Coast oyster which were fresh, juicy and had a nice saltiness to them. And the heritage carrots which were surprisingly better then the oysters, Grilled just right with great sauce and soft texture. We shared the chocolate hazelnut dessert which was a great finish. The cocktails throughout the evening were different and unlike a lot of places now days had strong favors so good. Can highly recommend and we will be returning for our next special night out. So would like to call out our main server Jose on a tuesday night he recommend some great choices, gave us time to enjoy the night and was there to replace plates and utensils immediately.
Be the first to ReplyMade it hard for us just to be seated appropriately
Poor service, wrong order. On seating us the front of house made us feel like dirt and seated our party of 3 on a table for 2. A waiter did give us another table but we still got bad service. The views are great though
Be the first to Replya perfect meal and service
You couldn't ask for more service was impeccable very knowledgeable about there food and wine , lovely welcome, we booked a table with a view being 100 stories up i expected a beautiful view however the weather decided different but didnt make our experience any less wonderful, however the 'Karen' on the table next to us rather annoyed us ....
Be the first to ReplyGreat service at the bar. Limited menu for pescatarian, dairy free person.
The service was outstanding at the bar. Limited menu in my opinion for pescatarian dairy free options. I had the tuna appetizer which was good. The drink was good. Dry January for me.

Peak is the definition of high-end NYC dining! High, as the food is great and you are also on the 101st floor! You can actually feel the building slightly swaying in the wind. Service here is top notch, and the wine was equally delicious! TIP: The elevator's interiors are covered with cool computer panels that display a wireline version of NYC as you rise to the restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyMemorable Dining Experience
Dined here for our Anniverssary Memorable experience. 101st floor ride in an amazing 3D experience lift. We were well greated , had to wait a while at the bar as our table was not ready , there was a DJ at the bar , less louder at the restaurant area. Food definately Michelin quality, very very good , great kitchen ! Acceptable wine choices, Service could be abit coordinated , improved and better trained. We appreciate the extra mini cake and that our request for a window table was considered Reserve in advance, dress to impress and expect a $$$$$ bill.
Be the first to ReplyA birthday party that finished at the odontologist
It was a birthday party but i finished at the odontologist We were a party of 4, i asked for an appetizer of hiramasa fish, a sort of sashimi…..full of fishbones….and one of them hurt my mouth. A great lack of professionalism and they did not even apologize….

The Peak restaurant hoovers 101 stories up 30 Hudson Yards with jaw-smashing 360 views over Lower Manhattan and New Jersey. As far as the decor......it's all about the views.......and as a solo patron I had to force a window table. I wondered if I came for the views or the food. To that end I surveyed the modern American menu noticing succulent apps like 'smoked lamb bellies', 'squid ink chittara' and delectable entrees like 'pork duo' and 'Maine lobster' .........certainly not your food truck fare. I am a fiend for fish so I choose the 'seared tuna set in herbal oil with broccoli'..... a delightful dish. The extensive wine list reads like a NYC telephone book, with prices skewed on the heavy side. I treated my sweet tooth to the dessert 'egg (coconut mousse, carrot & orange)'...the Easter bunny would be proud. When you pair spectacular views with culinary delights, it makes for a memorable dining experience. This is my take on the Peak restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyThe BEST drinks
We wandered up here after going to the Edge observatory for a drink. The views are absolutely spectacular - truly do not get better than it! We sat at the bar and had the BEST bee's knees drink. Hands down the best drink we have had in our lives. The service is impeccable. Will definitely return to eat dinner for a special occasion. It is a fancy, formal, expensive restaurant. Our one complaint was with the hostess, who seated another party without a reservation before us (she was slightly dismissive towards us).
Be the first to ReplyA wonderful experience for all who go.
The service. The food. The decor. The views. The elevator ride up. There are no complaints to be found here. Communicate ahead of time for great seating and special moment upgrades like birthdays and anniversaries. All of the staff are friendly and professional.
Be the first to ReplyVery average and bland.
We were so excited by the view but let down by the food. The food was very average and some of it down right bad. Only treat was the bread. It was great. The rest was just blah. It was certainly over priced for the quality. The ambience and view was great. If you go there for good food, this isn’t the spot. Very tourist trappy!
Be the first to ReplyGreat view - great food
Next time you are in NYC be sure to book a dinner at the Peak. The restaurant is beautiful and the food was amazing. I had the salt-baked sweet potato (vegetarian) main course and could not believe what the chef could do with such a seemingly simple fare. Please try this! In addition to the views, you get access to the Edge.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing classy restaurant
Amazed and excited… two words I can say as I walked through the entrance … to the elevator and through the bright restaurant!
Be the first to ReplyHow can I rate this higher than a FIVE?
Spent the weekend in NYC with my teenage daughter to celebrate our May Birthdays. I heard from a friend that the Edge observatory is the best observatory in NYC, so as I was researching The Edge, I learned about Peak Restaurant, and that dining at Peak would allow access to the Edge Observatory. I debated whether to book a reservation, and I am so glad I did!!
Everything was exceptional - the service was superb. The food was all delicious, and the view was outstanding! I will always remember that view! We did a late lunch, with my daughter ordering the Waygu burger and I had the Seared Tuna - both terrific.
We ordered a dessert to share, and within a minute of receiving it, our server acknowledged our birthdays and brought over individual desserts for us, so we ended up with quiet a bit of dessert!
There is a time limit for 90 minutes for lunch, which was plenty of time. We then went down one level to the Edge observatory, which was very crowded and I actually found the lines and crowds at The Edge slightly annoying, since we had just enjoyed that same view (one level higher) for the past 90 minutes in a peaceful setting.
This is not the type of place you would go regularly, rather, for a special occasion. I’m sure the sunset dinner time slots full up quickly but are likely the best.
I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a special place to dine and who is also thinking of going to the Edge.
Great view!
We went here to celebrate our honeymoon and were given complimentary dessert, which was a nice touch (although our waiter was rather quiet, even cold). The view is unbeatable, though, and you can go out onto the Edge platform after a fabulous, upscale lunch or dinner. It's not cheap, but you pay for the location.

Would have given 10 Stars!
What an experience! first of all the view is amazing I believe 110 floors high the building is based inHudson Square so when the sun sets on a clear day which we were lucky enough stunning! The staff will always be memorable they could not do enough for us the food was exceptional first course was yellowfin tuna and main was lobster gorgeous ! along with the champagne and wine if I ever visit New York again I will definitely visit the Peak again !
Peaks is a wonderful addtion to the NYC dining experience!
Peaks is a wonderful addition to the NYC dining experience! It is a wonderful restaurant with the best views in the city. Usually when a restaurant offers a highlight like a view, the food suffers. However, The Peak offers both the view and surprisingly High Quality, great tasting food!
At the start, the Ahi Tuna was amazingly fresh and tasty. It was as good as anything, if not better, at your high end sushi spots. The Milk bread came out piping hot and soft tasting as decadent as any dessert! The Wagyu Burger was tender, tasty and perfectly prepared! The fries were crispy and had we not gourged our Milk Bread, we probably would have ordered dessert.
As incredible as the food was, the views were even better. Floor to ceiling windows offered some of the best vantage points in the city! However, enjoy the food as this restaurant has direct access to the Edge, the highest outdoor deck in the Western Hemisphere!
I can't stress how great this restaurant is! Terrific food, great views, Steps to the Edge and a few feet from the entrance to the High Line!
Excellent food and experience
Amazing setting, food was delicious, beef tartare and seared tuna. Only negative was very slow service and took absolutely ages to pay our bill.
Be the first to ReplyExceptional view great food
This was an exceptional experience, the evening view over the city is unique and the food was surprisingly wonderful and beautiful.
The waiting staff was super friendly and efficient.
The only note was that could spend some time tending the bathrooms, they were not worthy of a restaurant of that caliber.
It was not easy getting a table, rather obtuse booking system.
Shout out to Alfonso
I recently dined here to celebrate my birthday. I was a little concerned ahead of time because of the mixed reviews but we had a great evening. It is very busy and obviously on the higher end but I think it’s worth it to enjoy the view on a special occasion! Our server Alfonso was very attentive despite also training another member of staff at the same time. Everyone made an effort to wish me a happy birthday which was very sweet. We enjoyed all of the food although I did find it a little rich for my liking. Overall a great evening and would recommend if you are looking for a special dinner.
