The highlight of our visit to San Francisco
Dominique Crenn is the first woman to get 3 Michelin Stars, well deserved! Her restaurant was our favorite this trip, refined food, excellent atmosphere!

The food, the wine and service were amazing. However my seat was squeegeeing and my glass was dirty. Nevertheless, despite these few little details, a great night.

My friend and I love to watch โChefs Tableโ on Netflix and really enjoyed the episode about Chef Dominique Crenn in San Francisco. The show profiled her 3 Michelin-starred restaurant Atelier Crenn in SF, but when I checked out the website I saw Petit Crenn (her second restaurant). This is less expensive and the food and service was excellent. I made a reservation on line and prepaid. You can add on wine, coffee, tea when you arrive and one of our dishes had an option to add caviar. You will pay for your add ons and the tip at the end of your meal. We had a 7 course tasting menu that was seafood forward. I enjoyed every single dish. My friend and I sat at the counter as we wanted to watch the chefs. Keep in mind that It is pretty hot since you are close to the range and dress accordingly. If you have more than two in your party and want to talk to each other I would stick with a table. I will go back for sure. The neighborhood is nice too so itโs fun to walk around when youโre done.

During a very enjoyable evening we had some interesting and ok as well ass some outstanding dishes. As always in such dining establishments, after some of hge hype is it difficult to measure up to the expectations. I would deffinitely recommend it for an out of th eordinary dining experience.

On 10/26/19 I had a lovely dinner and wine pairing at Petit Crenn where I could compare their divine food with equally enjoyable food. I usually don't drink white wine or german wines and had both at this meal. It was unique and delectable. The McFarland trout paired with a quintodecimo greco di tufo from Italy was wonderful. The compressed apple tart and the mosel extra special. There were five other courses and wines but these two stood out for me.

Low scale, bit crowded casual decor place with small size portions of mostly tasty, creative 8 course tasting menu. Iโve been to Brittany many times. Not in the least reminiscent to me of its sea based cuisine. At $105pp, hardly a 750 bottle of wine of the hundreds on the list to be found for less than this same $100 price point. First of all, with this highly โcuratedโ list , which is code for picking only great vintners and their most costly wines, and then multiplied up several times as any restaurant does, if a fine wine is meant to complement fine food , with 8 small varied courses how many would want to buy a bottle to go well with all the many flavors and textures of the 8 dishes, let alone a $100 and up bottle. Maybe one then takes the wine pairing. We found this also excessively priced. A $150 Sancerre as the least expensive of this variety? Please. Cheapest Italian white at or close to this stratosphere? So many good, tasty and very drinkable and enjoyable domestic and foreign wines available at $50 -$75 price point even after restaurant markup of 3 or 4X but not here. Very good service. Lots of information given about each course. Bit overwhelming though. All in all, very disappointing.
