Went there for my husband's birthday.
I had the salmon nicoise salad, a glass of sauvignon blanc. My husband had a cheeseburger and a diet coke. My salmon was cooked perfectly, a very healthy portion! Glass of wine was lovely! The burger was big, tasty and good fries. Service was great, friendly waiter! We finished it off with the raspberry meringue.. very fresh! First time going here and we were very impressed, made for a lovely birthday treat. Don't get the neg reviews. Would definitely come back.

Decor is dated and unloved, almost as if someone gave up on wanting to actually maintain upkeep. The food is yummy however sorely under seasoned, perhaps it's due to having a relatively older clientele base - but yeah, be sure to ask for salt. Service is consistently friendly, servers do a nice job.

From the moment you walk in and are greeted you know it will be a great experience. Host, I believe the owner, was warm and welcoming. Service staff, amazing, food delicious! Beautifully decorated!!
Be the first to ReplySorry to say but the service was as bad as the food.
The waitresses was arrogant and rude, manager came and must admit solve the service issue, unfortunately the food was bad ! Everything we took was not at the level ! Sorry, its very rare ( probably second time ) that i write a review, but i rather share it . Hope the management will take it in consideration.

Tuesday night is the night if you want good food in a beautiful environment with lovely live music. And, the service was easy.

I come for the Winters to Bridgehampton and like many I enjoy, on the odd occasion, authentic fine dining but it was not to be found here. What one has is a well situated restaurant with clean white table cloths and that is where it ends. The experience started off with pseudo French service, cold food that was supposed to be hot and a bottle of French wine warm when it was supposed to be cold. The bill ... well it's the Hamptons so expect to pay (a lot) but don't expect to leave feeling you had a fun time for your money - you most likely wont.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food for lunch.
The tuna tartare was outstanding and fresh. The chicken dish which I never order was delicious. Staff was friendly. Price was steep though.
Be the first to ReplyOf my 4 years being a Yelp Elite and 5 years posting more
Of my 4 years being a Yelp Elite and 5 years posting more than a hundred reviews, I have only ever given one spot a 1-star review. Now, we are up to two... Before coming here, I checked Yelp (of course) and noticed a glaringly low rating. I always read the reviews when it's low because people are often obtuse and will give a 1 star because the host was rude to them or something so trivial. After seeing MULTIPLE reviews about people finding COCKROACHES IN.THEIR.FOOD. I decided not to eat here. Because I was with 5 other people and didn't want to be "that girl" who changed everyone else's plans, I just sat at the table with them but didn't order anything. First thing, this is not an upscale restaurant. Despite the Main St. address and wealthy clientele, this is your average French bistro that you would find anywhere else. We had the outdoor seating for brunch, and we were on tables on the sidewalk, for context. We had just come from Barry's, so I had a boxed water with me, and, not long after we sat down and my friends ordered, the assistant manager(?) came up to me smiling and SO condescendingly asked if I thought my water was better than theirs...excuse me? He then proceeded to tell me I had to either chug it and give him the box or I could keep it on the floor...aka the sidewalk...but that I couldn't keep it on the table...we all thought he was joking, but alas, he was not. In fact, my blood is boiling writing this review, and this happened a month ago! Then, for the piece de la resistance, my friend ordered the omelette, and on her second bite, she pulled out a full piece of plastic- the circular plastic piece that you use to pull off a milk carton or *cough cough* a carton of eggs. She immediately lost her appetite and didn't ask for a replacement but that it would just be removed from the bill. They weren't shocked or apologetic, AND they forgot to remove it from the bill. Don't waste your time or money here- you can eat plastic and bugs in your food while drinking your water from the sidewalk elsewhere.

This place refused us service when we said we weren't going to drink. We were underaged and they just wanted us to buy drinks and when we said we weren't they didn't seat us and charged us $300 even though they canceled on me. This is illegal and Pierre should be punished. Shame.
Be the first to ReplyI recently had a reservation for a party of 4 at Pierre's.
Unfortunately, I had to cancel due to someone in my party testing positive for covid. Due to the fact that we were all near this person the days prior, we decided it was best to cancel the reservation in an effort to not expose the restaurant staff and other guests. I called the restaurant the morning of and then emailed Pierre himself - he emailed me back the cancellation policy which states if you have a doctors note regarding covid, you will not be charged for cancelling. When I told him I had that, he completely stopped responding. Because of wanting to protect Pierre's staff and guests, I was charged $200 for deciding to cancel this reservation. I have a been a frequent customer here for many years and will not return. It says a lot about a business that cares more about a party of 4 than the health and safety of its staff and customers. Super disappointing. There are many more accommodating restaurants close-by that I will give my business to instead of Pierre's.

I used to love this restaurant until Pierre began to believe he could have attitude and charge as if he were Guy Savoy.

There are pros and cons to dining at Pierre's that I feel warrant giving it a three star rating. Starting with the pros, the restaurant is in a convenient location on Main Street in the middle of Bridgehampton, has outdoor seating which is pet-friendly, and they give you a small chocolate with your drink. On the other hand, what did not impress me is that it has become pricier over the years and I personally think it is not necessarily worth the cost, at least for their casual breakfast/brunch which we had at $25+ per person. For a high tier French restaurant which this place seems like it strives to be, I do not think that it lives up to its name.
Be the first to ReplyWe used to go here years ago.
Unfortunately, as you can see by the majority of the comments, the owner is racist, disrespectful and quality overall is completely gone downhill. Good news is there are some great restaurants right down the road from here that treat their customers with the utmost respect and the food is much better.
Be the first to ReplyWow! Very impressed with this place.
We probably would not have come based on looking at the reviews on Yelp. But, the recommendation was from a trusted source so we have it a shot. Everything was delicious! We came early from 3-5 and ordered a few dishes for sharing with the group. The steak tartare, mussels and lobster salad were all amazing! Pricy, but that's to be expected for the area. And the food was worth it.

Hands down some of the best execution not just in the Hamptons but in my experience. The bouillabaisse on Fridays is a destination in of itself. Everything else we've ordered is always on point (lamb chops are excellent as is the chicken, tarte flambée and homard fricassée among others)

Lousy service. If that what you like by alls means go. But why?

My friend ordered the French Onion Soup at lunch today and when it came there was a dead cockroach in it. We asked for the manager. He whisked it away without an apology and never came back. My friend went to see the manager and the owner inside the restaurant. Again no apology, but they said they were planning to deduct the soup from the bill. When he suggested that was not an adequate response/compensation, he was told we needed to leave. We were thrown out of the restaurant for the audacity of complaining about a rodent in our food. The owner is notoriously rude and abrasive but this is a whole different level of appalling customer service or lack thereof. Avoid at all costs. See picture of roach in soup below...
Be the first to ReplyFirst impression: walked into the restaurant.
. smelled like wet towel.. not a good a good start.. and I keep thinking about it. Otherwise: Good food but overpriced for what it is.Lots of fancy wording on the menu.. but the reality is much different. The $22 "Bisque de Homard" is closer to a "broth" than a bisque. But broth would probably cost $10 instead..The $26 "tarte flambée Alsacienne".. is basically a thin crust pizza with bacon, and onion.. nowhere near what. Tarte Alsacienne is! Oh... and the menu on the web site right now is not up to date either.. so be ready for more surprises..Overall the food was good.. but I was expecting a more "French feel" to it.. and certainly not being tricked by the descriptions. I don't mind pricey dinners... my friends and I are foodies (and French).. so you better make my $700 worth every bites. That was not the case at Pierre's.. disappointing
Be the first to ReplyFOOD POISONING! 2p lobster roll on Sunday, 9/4.
By 6p, violent diarrhea and vomiting x 12 hours. Lobster roll was the only thing I ate all day. DOH also aware.

Canceled my reservation 48 hours in advance and pushed it to the next day. Two months later charged 209 cancellation fee went in to see them and show them I cancelled within the time frame the owner says it it was cancelled on the 30 the reservation was for the second he tells me it was not 24 hours he cannot even do the math!! Rude and nasty. We where regulars there good luck with your business
Be the first to ReplyThe owner is rude, the food is over-priced and my husband
The owner is rude, the food is over-priced and my husband almost lost a tooth because of nails in the potatoes. Don't ask how that could be possible. He is also rude directly to customers and his staff. I would say he is borderline racist. I would not write such a review unless I felt this strongly. They control most of the sidewalk as one is driving past Bridge, from Montauk. Their waiters have pushed and shoved people walking past and in general, if you want to be "cool" and put up with bad service, an owner who is very rude and doesn't even get his English expressions right, then head on there. Otherwise, there are lots of wonderful places to eat out East, with better food, and you may actually survive the meal. I wish this review was an overstatement, but it's an understatement.
Be the first to ReplyGrateful for Pierre's and their late night seating.
Dress to impress. I strongly recommend you make a reservation. Great place to take out of towners or celebrate a birthday.

A lesson in humility on how to treat customers would go a LONG WAY here!Attitude from waiter and staff.....UNACCEPTABLE!! DONE!
Be the first to Reply1st experience at Pierre's and the food was sub par.
I ordered a burger medium and it came out charred to a crisp and tasted like a hockey puck. Topping off a less then ideal 1st experience the waitress April never came back out to give us out check so I had to walk inside to settle up. April proceeded to give me the wrong check that was $400. My party ordered 3 burgers and 3 soft drinks which should have been $100 at most! After reviewing the check there were a handful of items that I told her we're not ours and she tried to tell me I was wrong and proceeded to point to where I was sitting and telling me I was wrong. Another waiter heard us discussing the check and asked if everything was okay and then April finally took another look at it and said it must have been the wrong check after all. All in all it was a weird interaction and felt VERY sketchy and made me feel uncomfortable.
