Pooja Indian Grill Sacramento Reviews from The Last Year
Fresh, great variety buffet.
Will continue to come. They provide fresh naan bread. The rice pudding dessert is delicious. Chai tea is also included with the buffet. Plenty of seating and parking.
Great food and service.
Love the mango milk. A great section of Naan. Will definitely come back.
I went for the lunch buffet.
The goat and butter chicken were pretty good. The samosa was not that good. I've tried many Indian restaurants and I've never ate a samosa that had such a strong taste of herbs. I forgot the name of the herb that goes in it, but it was overpowering. The saag was just OK. I've had much better. The mango ice cream was good though.
Got takeout from here while staying at a nearby hotel.
Very tasty and was thoroughly enjoyed by the whole family. Got the butter chicken, curried goat and saag paneer with naan and rice. All were excellent, would definitely recommend.
Beware.
I used to frequent this restaurant for their lunch special, I came in today and ordered three lunch specials and instead of informing me that they discontinued the lunch special they sold me something entirely different, never informing me until later that these weren't the lunch specials which cost (13.99) instead they sold me an entirely different plate (Maharaj special) at a significantly higher price 24.99 and tried to not give me a receipt and refused a refund when questioned about it later. (I called and said I wanted to Bring the food back because it was not what I had ordered, at all.) They kept saying in broken English "No refund for food, no refund for food" despite the fact that this was not what I ordered. The butter chicken was flavorless and made with really old left over tandoori chicken. They had a super cheap curry made with frozen peas(not lentils) and another identical curry with chickpeas. The tandoori chicken tasted old and the bone marrow was discoloring the meat throughout as well as ruining the flavor of the meat. (Frozen chicken) The naan was burnt and oily which is not normal for most Indian restaurants. To top it off they forgot my rice too. They also have a lunch buffet and I'm positive that the food I was given was the same food that they have in their lunch buffet and was not even freshly made. None of the food was the same and apparently the business is under new ownership. 24 hours later and I'm sick to my stomach, sore throat and some type of Illness. I was charged $81.00 for three lunches worth less than 13.99 a piece. This establishment, five years ago served the finest Indian cuisine in Sacramento but is a far cry from what I remember. Be prepared the food and service is unrecognizable to three years ago and the people running it are greedy for profits over customers
Located in West Sacramento in an uninspiring strip mall.
Across from the public library. They brought back the lunch buffet. A much missed feature that was taken away during the pandemic. The best deal is the feast. Veg or Non Veg. Perfect to share for 2 people. The veg is smaller serving and thus no left overs. The non veg is much bigger servings and provides left overs.
Food was ok nothing that would make me want to come back
Food was ok nothing that would make me want to come back soon. Food was not hot Luke warm and wasn't changed out or attended to. Mango ice cream was good, that was the best part of my 18+ dollars spent.

One of our go to places in West Sac! The fish curry & garlic naan are must trys. Love ordering from here every now and then.

Tasty food, we tried the vegetarian n were completely satisfied. The way they do the billing should be transparent that's my only concern with this place.
Really nice indoor seating! I recommend going for the lunch
Really nice indoor seating! I recommend going for the lunch buffet, but even if you miss it you'll always have dinner! The servers are super attentive and friendly. If you've ever ordered online, you should really dine in!

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Can come from a lot of places, people who don't want to get charged their cancellation fee or people who just have them and cant go.

almost all restaurants aren't affiliated with AT and I'm guessing it's mostly people wanting to not pay cancellation fees.
