Excellent!
The service was outstanding attentive and efficient. I sat at the bar and Emma did a wonderful job serving the food along with her partners. I had the smaller tasting menu and dining alone it took about 90 minutes to complete - which was perfect. I’m very much looking forward to returning the next time I am in town. Well done!

It is always amazing when you see a place deliver over and over again. I have had my first, second, third and fourth visit to project, but not of those are my last. After hearing about project opening, I was on the fence about visiting. The first visit blew me away. The couple running the restaurant are not only professional, but they are also kind-hearted, wine and food-savvy, performing service with that unique elegance. Our first visit was just after they opened. Our second visit was shortly after that, and we kept coming back. Lately (2 years ago) they received their first Michelin star ⭐️. The dedication of this shines through on the plate and every bite. If you are in Gbg don't think just book your table and go!

My best food experience so far! Great staff, innovative cooking and excellent wine matching. Highly recommended for any true food enthusiast!

Where to start?
After a number of calls from project to move our scheduled time for dinner - we had some serious question marks about the restaurant.
Entrance - first impression
Just a quick hello - and ”you can put your jackets over there” - not - ”let me help you with your jackets”.
The enviroment
Nice design and cosy restaurant.
- If you are seated there.
In our case we where placed next to the restrooms behind the actual restaurant.
Service
Well - it’s not bad - but under educated. ”My lord” was a little bit embarrassing for us. And it took the almost 30 minutes to bring the first drink to our table.
Food
The restaurant has it’s moment and the food is in general good. Not innovative - but good.
Pricing
From my horizon it’s a little bit over priced compared to other GM - restaurants.
Some advice
- make clear to Project that the table is located in the actual restaurant. Not behind.
- Dont expect Guide Michelin quality - its just an average restaurant.
- search for other restaurant if you are in Gothenburg and want to visit a GM marked place.
Im very curious about GM representatives in Sweden.
Gastronomic Heaven
Project is situated around a mile from Gothenburg Central station. I took tram 4 to the nearby Berzeliigatan stop from where it was a quick walk.
I booked a table in advance at 8.15 on a Wednesday evening and opted for a table in the back of the restaurant.
The restaurant offers a set menu with six courses, plus several amuse bouche and bread beforehand.
I opted for the accompanying wine as well, plus the vintage champagne with the amuse bouche.
The amuse bouche were all delicious with a great array of flavours and textures. Truffles, lemongrass and carrot were the standouts for me as well as the heavenly 2013 vintage champagne.
The sourdough bread made from 15 year old flour with brown butter was really good too.
My six courses were - scallop, Swedish duck pastrami, Jerusalem artichoke, turbot, Gammel Knas cheese and Swedish apples.
All were unbelievably good, but the turbot was the best in my book.
The wines were brilliantly matched. The New Zealand Pinot Noir with the duck and the Riesling with artichoke being especially great.
The service was marvellous with each dish painstakingly described.
The bill was 1945 SEK for one without service. Expensive but worth every penny.
This was my first visit to a Michelin starred restaurant and I look forward to my next opportunity to try one.
amazing friend chicken

Be the first to ReplyJust mediocre with lot to improve - not worth the star
I would like to quote a famous food youtuber "my dissappointment was immeasurable and my day is ruined". Ok it was not THAT dissappointing but many things fell short of the high standards supposedly attached to a Michelin star. The waiters were obviously very inexperienced. The oddest thing was the green tea at the end: it was served in coffee presser and done in 100 degree water - this is very known to destroy the tea! We also had to wait a long time for the courses even though the restaurant was rather empty. Also the wine and spirit menu was very basic. Summary: not close deserving a michelin star.
Be the first to ReplyExtremely disappointed of take away
Took Korean fried chicken as take away, it was so sweet, impossible to feel any taste.. Like eating honey..
Hoped that a fine restaurant would have much better take away.
Wasted 150 sek/person, all of it went to trash.
