Ahh I know this is famous and all but it was too much
Ahh I know this is famous and all but it was too much cheese for me! If you're sensitive to the smell of cheese, it may be difficult to eat here. I do recommend going if you are a cheese lover though!! In that case this is the place to be

This block has a strong black association, so the pressure was on. But he was a champ. He started in a tiny space around the corner with a counter and 4 seats. It was really exciting to see the business grow and become so popular. Again, the pressure is on. Not easy to have a restaurant in NYC. Really a shame the he didn't make it through the pandemic . I hope whatever future endeavors he pursues he will have much success and enjoyment.

Absolutely ridiculous!! Made a reservation 2 weeks ago, traveled all the way to find the place closed!! My older relatives were so tired from the walk, I was so embarrassed! NO NOTIFICATION ON THE RESERVATION at all, nothing on their instagram and no way to know unless you show up to a closed restaurant!! AT LEAST TELL YOUR CUSTOMERS YOU'RE CLOSED. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, this place was supposed to close down but they said they were reopening. Save everyone the time and just close for good.

Had a reservation at 12 noon that I made online. Got there and no one was there. Someone then came and locked the front door. So are they not open!? Would've been nice if they gave us some information instead of rudely locking the door and ignoring us. Went to a nice place next door instead. Super horrible experience.

Honestly one of the best meals I've ever had! We were going to both get filet mignon but the waiter highly recommended the bone in ribeye for 2 so we ordered that and man are we glad we did! The ribeye itself was huge, thick, perfectly cooked medium rare with a pink center. It was juicy, just a little charred on the outside and had a beautiful melt in your mouth flavor. It paired perfectly with the cheese. Since it was for 2 people we also got to pick 2 cheeses so I went with the traditional Raclette and my husband got the paprika. Both of them were amazing! The paprika one really complimented the steak and was delicious on the potatoes too. I'm glad it came with a side salad because it was a lot of meat and the salad with delicious and light and I felt like I needed some greens haha. The potatoes were perfectly seasoned and cooked. The onions that came with with the steak were perfect. Such a good meal. We were here on vacation so I can't go again anytime soon but I look forward to coming here again next time I'm in New York!

Great place! My friends and I came a little bit after they just opened forvthe day, and Lorenzo served us. Great music, great vibes, friendly waiter, all around a fantastic location for a lunch out with friends. We really enjoyed the playlist that was playing and when we asked, Lorenzo would share with us the name of whatever song was playing :) I got the raclette burger, I really do recommend it, it was cooked to perfection and somehow kept its heat the entire time it took for me to finish my meal.

The Best Restaurant in NYC!! The Steak is amazing!! The service was Great!! I plan to return. We did not know to call ahead for a Reservation but they did seat us (Thank You). So I would recommend calling ahead. This place will not disappoint!! Raclette Filet Mignon cook exactly the way we requested. French Onion Soup is so tasty!!

Came here for drinks & dinner on a weekday (and for that glorious cheese scrape!). We were able to snag a same-day reservation for dinner.The ambiance here for dinner is really nice and romantic, though it is a bit cramped. We ordered the Raclette burger and filet mignon with the truffle cheese scrape. The food came out pretty fast and it was super cool watching the cheese scrape! The flavors were on point (though everything is pretty salty) and this was probably the most decadent meal of my year so far.Warning: the restaurant smells quite pungently of cheese & you'll probably leave smelling like it.

Pretty pricey but definitely worth it if you have money to burn. But leftovers end up all molding into a solid block of yuck so if you eat here make sure you come hungry n eat it all.

Raclette, famous for their oh-so-gooey cheese scraped on a dish, has been on my list for years, and I finally got to try it for a birthday celebration. AMBIANCE:Came on a Sunday early evening, where the only choice was to be seated outdoors unless you wait 2 hours (make a reservation). The actual restaurant is quite small for its popularity, and I believe only has a single stall bathroom. For outdoor dining, it seems to be a hit-or-miss for warmth, taking into account the occasional draft. At Raclette, the outdoor dining area was actually cozy and had strong heated lamps spread out. It can fit about 10 people. MAIN DISHES:My friend and I started out with a main course as an appetizer, the Lobster Mac and Cheese. This mac and cheese exceeded our expectations. Wow. The pasta was cooked al dente, there is a combo of delicious cheese, the crumb topping was crispy, and the lobster was hearty and in good amounts. We bodied it LOL. Highly recommend 5/5!Then we kind of went crazy and opted to share both the Ribeye for Two and the Filet Mignon. Both of these dishes were asked to be cooked medium, but the filet mignon looked well done. It barely had much taste and it was a bit dry. I was pretty disappointed in this one, 3/5. The ribeye is THICK. It was juicy, beautiful amounts of fat, and the crust of the steak was tasty. It came with heaping portions of asparagus stems, potatoes, and mushrooms. All of the veggies were delicious, especially the mushrooms, 5/5.Now what everyone comes to Raclette for: the cheese scraping performance. It was so satisfying for the server to "break" the torched part of the cheese, then watch it slowly pour the melted goodness over the dishes. You can choose the type of Raclette you want. We went the Truffle and Green Peppercorn (I would not recommend this one) for the ribeye -- yes, you pick 2 cheeses for the ribeye -- and the traditional Livradois cheese for the Filet Mignon. The performance was entertaining, though I wasn't really impressed by the flavor of raclette. Can't complain too much, it is melted cheese.Our service was really good and our waiters were attentive and patient. It is expensive but worth it. The lighting from the heat lamps kind of made my pictures look a bit funky.

Went here for dinner and absolutely loved the vibe! It's very classy and they have a great variety of options to choose from. Apart from what's pictured, we also ordered the Black Truffle Raclette Suisse and it was sooo rich & delicious! Highly recommend this place if you're in the area

This is a great place to get brunch! My friend and I found a pulsd deal which included two entrees and 4 drinks total for $39. This was an incredible deal! The food was beautifully presented and it was delicious. We got four different drinks and each one was tasty. I really enjoyed the waffles I ordered.We sat outside but despite the 30 degree weather, the outdoor heaters kept us warm and cozy. I would definitely come here again, maybe for dinner next time!

Great service! I made a reservation for Valentines Day weekend. I arrived and was seated promptly. Waitress was very friendly and explained the dishes/menu to better help me in deciding what to eat. Food was great!

We were almost 30 minutes late due to traffic but were told we had an hour and a half left for our table which was more than enough time. The cheese board was delicious, I would go back there just for that even. Overall delicious food, put us into a food coma afterwards.

This is THE PLACE to eat raclette, or literally anything else in their menu because everything was espectacular. We had the raclette NY & tartiflette as main dishes, the quality of both was great. I was specially impressed with the raclette NY because it was an very generous amount of cheese, two big steaks, grilled asparagus, sautรฉ mushrooms, roasted potatoes and for $45 was a pretty good deal, specially because most steakhouses offer for the same price half the amount of food, and not even the same quality. If you ask me, this dish was way better than Balthazar or other more renowned places, because each ingredient in the plate had its own flavor and texture.The tartiflette was also delicious, with the perfect ratio for all ingredients and rich flavor, the melted cheese was creamy and had a buttery texture, the dish came with a side of arugula and grilled cherry tomatoes that had a delicious dressing.For drinks we had the aperol spritz and the house beer, probably the best aperol I've had in NY. For dessert we ordered the deconstructed crรจme brรปlรฉe and hot chocolate. Again best hot chocolate ever, and the creme brรปlรฉe even if it wasn't the traditional presentation, it was delicious too.Good service, friendly hostess, nice servers and people in general, atmosphere was on point too, GREAT music selection. The one and only thing I didn't love was that since the place is tiny, the tables were very small and extremely close to each other. We were just two people, fortunately nobody sat next to us and we were able to use the table next to us to put some of our food because it literally didn't fit in our table. However when we ask the server if we could put the tables together he said we couldn't, we assumed they had a reservation or something, but since the table was empty when we arrived and the entire time we were there, we dismissed what he said and used it (separated) because otherwise it would have been impossible to fit our food. More space/flexibility would have been appreciated. I would definitely come back and would recommend this place, their prices are fair, quality is amazing, ambiance is incredible, but would advise to make a reservation because again, it's tiny, and to go in a group of at least 3 people because their tables for two are extremely uncomfortable, you will definitely have a better experience in a bigger group, but not too big lol.

The filet mignon was super tender and juicy, the only thing was that they cooked it slightly too long when we asked for medium rare (came out much closer to medium). We got the Truffle Scrape for the cheese and it was sooo good. I'm drooling just thinking about it. The cheese is creamy and they definitely do not skimp on the portion. The potatoes were pretty soft but it really worked with the cheese. Also highly recommend the Fig Tartine! Prosciutto + hazelnut + fig is seriously the combo I never knew I needed. It is pretty salty, but prosciutto is literally cured meat so you get what you ask for hahaha. But I think that's exactly why I loved it with the fig so much because the sweetness balanced it out! Ended up being $41 after tax + tip each person (for 2 people), which is very fair. Definitely will come back to try the Raclette Burger, Mac N Cheese, and Tomato Tartine next time!
