Delicious restaurant with top-notch decoration
Delicious restaurant with impeccable service, the decoration is very well chosen: mismatched chairs and dishes but above all the hanging boats give a lot of character.
Be the first to ReplyA must go and experience this festive local small dishes that seem never ending ..
Although somewhat outside the center of the city it is worthwhile to book a table and go for the typical “ Christmas “ or festive diner . What a joy of plates and tastes , from herring starters and breads and cheeses and drinks and warm food and desserts … An explosion of plates and tastes . An experience of local food you will not forget !

We arrived on a Tuesday after reading mixed reviews regarding new ownership. It turned out to be one of the best places we have eaten in Sweden. It was not busy and our service was all that we could ask for: attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. We found the offerings to be intriguing and much enjoyed both the quail and cod. This writer had the cod which was amazing and also a new offering. And the ambiance was wonderful - both out on the patio and inside among the boats. Don't hesitate to make the journey. The name has changed to Slipen.
Be the first to ReplyGood food, service not so good.
The food was good. The dorado fish was well prepared and flavorful. And the view is amazing. But the service was really bad, I’m sorry to say. The server delivered our entrees and never returned to check on how our meal was, forgot to bring the side dish and never gave us our check.

The first thought is joy that the restaurant remains, even if it remains to see their profile. The maritime interior is almost intact, but minor adjustments. What struck me immediately at the bar counter was a sloppy set up and staff who seem to lack a functioning management and routine. The menu naturally has a new direction, but leans towards modern cooking and a little safe. But it wants to deliver for the price level for this "bistro" has put on a surprisingly high level. It will probably be a bit of a wait and see

Amazing food and service. We ate 3 dishes - all were great and the wine pairing was perfect. A lunch for two cost around 1250kr (125€) and a dinner around 2000kr (200€). Absolutely recommended!
Be the first to ReplyOverrated, underwhelming... don't go.
It was hard to get a reservation, surprising, because the food was undistinguished and overpriced. Maybe they weren't trying very hard for a brunch in mid-August, but it almost felt like a bait and switch. What was described on the menu as savory French toast with grilled vegetables was a small piece of buttered toast with pesto, hiding under a slightly charred cabbage leaf. (Oddly, when we ordered, we'd asked the waiter if we should order a side, he recommended the cabbage; he might have told us that one of the dishes we ordered already came with it.) We could only surmise that the food may have deserved its Michelin stars when it opened, but that the restaurant has gone way downhill since then.
Be the first to ReplyNice place, great food, a bit out of the centre.
Nicely located, a bit out of the centre. Nice cheerful staff and helpful. Excellent food, splendid deserts, bread not very good which was a shame. Lovely place and reasonably good value.

We were fortunate enough to visit Oaxen while in Stockholm and experience the degustation menu. This Michelin Star restaurant is not to be missed. The food is like art work and displays the many flavours of Sweden and the Scandinavian region. From moose to caviar to much more the food was amazing. Not to mention the perfectly paired wines with each dish. The service was fantastic, the presentation perfect and the food and wine knowledge second to none. The best food experience my wife and I have had. $$$$ but honestly worth it all.
Be the first to ReplyBrunch was just ok
We booked a brunch table at 14:30. The restaurant was really crowded. We were lucky to get a table by the water view. Overall the dishes were good, nicely presented but the dishes except the herring were rather blend. The standout dishes were the beef tartar and beetroot tartar. I was rather disappointed with the fried cod collar as the sweet goose berries sauce did not go well with the crispy batter. It felt like crispy fish batter with honey. The WOW factor was not as expected from my previous dining experience at Oaxen slip.

Visited with my wife to celebrate our wedding anniversary. From start to end it was all top notch. Fantastic service in combination with fantastic food.

One of the kind - very unique location - very attentive and friendly staff - and very very good foods - just go there to explore yourself
Be the first to ReplyNot as good as expected. Left a lot of food uneaten.
Not as good as expected. Food was ok, but not the best. I had cod that was charred, but that made it really dry and chewy on several parts. I left a lot. The side dishes are ok, but maybe everything is too fermented or creamy. Maybe I just am not a fan of nordic food, but in general not very tasty. Too sour. Sour in sour. Atmosphere was nice & cosy, wine also good.
