Poor service, stinky interior, uninviting bar and under average food. Doesn't even rival Texa-Tonka bowling alley.

Tried it for dinner with a co-worker and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Beer was good and the waiter allowed me to 'taste' a couple as I was new to the offerings on the menu. I had the 1/2 chicken and my associate had the chicken sandwich. Added fries and Brussels sprouts as sides. We both had take home left after getting plenty to eat. My wife wants to go back and share the 1/2 chicken as she got my leftovers! Wait staff was great and definitely returning soon.

The Tennessee chicken was super moist and had a medium, back of the mouth burn. 1/2 chicken is a huge portion. Very cool. Never had anything like it before. The brussell with sweet potato puree was a very interesting flavor combo. Loved both. Definitely worth it and will return. Ambiance was perfect. Busy, but not noisy. Service by Ash was great, too. TY.
Be the first to ReplyRevival has been on my radar for awhile.
I have heard people rave about its chicken and the notorious poultrygeist sauce. So... I finally tried it! Let me say this right away - if you like heat, the poultrygeist definitely brings it with a unique sweet twinge. It is a good flavor, but not my outright favorite as I'm not the "sweet heat" type. If you like that combo, I think you will absolutely love this place and I'd highly recommend the chicken. If you are looking for super crispy/thin/heavily breaded tenders like I commonly seek this isn't necessarily the place you'll find them. I'd probably go with the wings next time, but the tenders were good. I also dabbled with the cheddar drop biscuits. They were really good! Finally... As a ranch lover, get extra. Its on point!

Taya was an amazing server! I've gone twice in the last week and got the BLT the first time and the Breakfast Sandwich the second time. Both were absolutely amazing! I also recommend the Arnold Palmer. I got it both times and it is so refreshing! This place is always busy but we haven't had an issue getting seated right away. The restaurant is clean, bright, and doesn't get too loud considering how full it was! Can't wait to come back once the patio is open! Thanks for a great experience!
Be the first to ReplyGreat menu options.
The sweet chili ribs were fantastic. Large dining space. The chef was bringing out the meals to customers, and it was a nice touch.
Be the first to ReplyWe were here two weeks ago to celebrate my son's birthday.
It was the middle of the week and the restaurant was not really busy at 6:30, but we did have an advance reservation. I like that there is easy parking and there is a larger dining area at this location. Our server seemed to be the only server in the place for all the tables that night. He was (perhaps understandably) no- nonsense, but mostly attentive. We had a table of 8, the patty melt and burger were tasty and folks generally liked the chicken. I ordered the Brussels sprout salad because I've had it before and really really loved it, but this time it was prepared rather sloppy with too much sauce and the Brussels were not crispy at all and it was just not as good. I've had much better food and service at the location on Nicollet Ave in Minneapolis. I may try here again, but honestly this was an average meal at best and a really disappointing birthday destination.

Had dinner with a bunch of friends and really enjoyed it! The restaurant itself was inviting and spacious. Food wise, the cheese curds were amazing. I liked how they were coated in a light honey, it really added a perfect touch. Taya was our server and she deserves 10 stars!! She was authentic and genuinely a happy person. Even though she worked since opening and we were there until close, she was a joy to be around. Looking forward to coming back the next time I'm in town!
Be the first to ReplyI was a bit underwhelmed by Revival.
GOOD Brussel sprouts - excellent play of sweet/fried/salt Hushpuppies - fine, basically a corndog without the dog Food came fast BAD Chicken tenders - bland and unsalted. We wanted to ask the server for some sort of sauce but she never came back. Even the gravy they were served with was bland. Fried pork ribs - impossible to eat. One piece had literally nowhere to bite into without cutting it into pieces (which is hard to do with a tough pork rib and a butter knife).
Be the first to ReplyHad a nice time, and enjoyed the food.
The staff and chill ambiance were lovely. -Collards greens could have used a bit of seasoning, but were fine. They were veryyy tender. 3/5 -Mac and cheese was nice and cheesy and overall tasted good 3.5/5 -Burger was tasty, and the bread and butter pickles the perfect compliment 4/5 -Sweet chili ribs were fine. Big pieces that were battered, deep fried, and coated with a tasty sauce. TBH, I could do without the batter/ frying. Adding the sauce directly on the meat would have definitely increased my rating. 3.5/5 -Blood Orange Margarita is very delicious, but the huge cube taking up space is why I knocked off a point 4/5

I love me some southern fried chicken and all the wonderful side dishes that come with it. Our first time trying Revival and they had thee perfect fried chicken dishes. FYI, this location does not have the smoked meats, the Minneapolis one does. They have easy parking as it is in a strip mall. The inside is very open and casual. I was surprised to see they have a full bar. I really enjoyed the chicken and gravy biscuit. The gravy is really top notch with sausage chunks. It was so good drenched over my perfectly crispy fried chicken. I always like to drizzle a lil syrup over it to add even more flavor. We also enjoyed the Mac and cheese and breakfast potatoes for our sides. Bloody Mary was also tasty. For the simplicity of the dishes and the causal atmosphere, I felt that they were a little overpriced. The food and service was good though!

This Revival location just keeps getting better and better! I am hoping that they will add more smoked meats from their other locations.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food and great service.
I am going to miss their mussels but the new dishes are amazing. Check out and support your local businesses.
Be the first to ReplyIt has been a few years since I was last at revival.
It seems the food has declined since my last visit. That being said. It was still good. Overall, i rate the food 4/5. The service was good and the server gave us recommendations and checked in on us. However, he kinda rushed us out at the end without showing a dessert menu so that marred the experience for me a little bit. I rate the service 4/5. This location is also a little louder. It is bigger than the Minneapolis location and the patio has better ambience than inside. I rate the ambience on the patio 5/5 and the inside 3/5. Here is a breakdown of what we got:Cheese curds: 4/5Collard Greens: 5/5Mac&Cheese: 4.5/5Southern Fried Chicken: 4.5/5
Be the first to ReplyFried chicken was great, as it should be here.
Collard greens and biscuit were disappointing- greens lacked acid, were watery and bland. Biscuit was too obviously a pre-manufactured biscuit.

Revival is a must try! They have great chicken that is breaded and fried perfectly. I think their sides are good too but not the best I've had. Their mac and cheese is good as well as their biscuits. The show stopper is the chicken, of course, but also their cocktail options! I had the Smoke Show and it was truly one of the best cocktails I've had in the cities. All of the staff were noticeable personable and kind which contributed so much to the experience. This is a great place for date night or to go with friends. Revival is a solid go to when you're not sure where to go! The menu is a bit limited, but I think they just know what they do well!
Be the first to ReplyEverything was horrible.
. specially the manager in the bar area who's also a server.. I didn't like the food at all so the manager told me if I "ORDER SOMETHING I HAVE TO PAY FOR IT.. even if I didn't touch it.. save time and money and don't go to this place..

The food was okay but the service sucked, one my food was to spicy for me and my server never came and checked on us after the food was brought out so even if I wanted ranch to eat I couldn't have asked. Then when they did come around my boyfriend was already done eating and I told them my food was to hot for me to even eat and they didn't care. Overall if you like hot food very good survive could be better

Oh my! We tried to eat across the street at Wok in Park but one hour wait so we traveled across the street to Revival and waited one hour for or entree to arrive! The wait staff was lovely but the food was so unhealthy: chicken seemed to be rolled in corn flakes and deep fried. Rarely a green item or vegetable on the menu. That which was green was a limp bib lettuce salad and collard greens soaking in oil. Not fair for the 21 st century.

The cheese curds were excellent but overall I thought the food was somewhat overpriced for the quality. The service was just okay as our desert got missed.
Be the first to ReplyConsistency is completely lacking here.
Quality of food- Started off very poor, than improved and now back being subpar. Not sure what's going on and why there is a constant back and forth on quality, but it definitely deterring us from trying it again. The restaurant is always very empty- so I don't believe it's due to their kitchen being busy. We usually get their Nashville hot chicken, sandwiches, burgers and chicken and waffles. Unfortunately the chicken just tasted off. Please be aware that they have redone their menu and you can no longer get just two pieces of chicken. You have to either get the entire chicken or the two pieces is no only included in a "meal form"- paying extra for one piece, a biscuit and slaw (which is nothing to write home about).
Be the first to ReplyVery good fried chicken, and really everything they make
Very good fried chicken, and really everything they make here is well done. I've had the southern fried chicken 3 or 4 times and it's consistently good. Very moist and the crust is delicious. The side dishes are equally as good. Mac and cheese, collard greens all very tasty. The appetizers are great with a beer or cocktail. Try the cheese curds or fried green tomatoes. They have several local beers on tap, and they make cocktails too. They even have on tap cocktails. Service is friendly and prompt.
Be the first to ReplyService is terrible.
We left after sitting in uncomfortable chairs for a long time. Disorganized and manager wasn't able or willing to lend a hand. Two other tables in same boat. Save your patience and $ and go elsewhere.
Be the first to ReplyWe were a party of 6.
We waited 12 minutes for a table. Not bad for Saturday evening at 7pm. We all started with Passionfruit Paloma drink and Fried green tomatoes. Tomato was cut thin and they served 5 per plate. Cheese curds were plentiful and tasty too served with Ranch. My 2 on Southern Fried White was perfectly fried and large bone in breasts. I took one home. Hubby had Chicken Nuggets which as large chunks of breast breaded & fried. The sides come in the perfect sized ramekin. We shared the sides because they were all so flavorful. Hoppin johns is black eyed peas w/rice, Bourbon carrots were sweet but delish. The Mac n cheese is creamy, cheesy goodness! A friend loved her shrimp n grits and butter biscuits. I will be back for that Banana Cream Pie and Mac n cheese.
Be the first to ReplyFirst time at Revival.
Their specialty is Southern fried chicken. We had that, biscuits and Mac & cheese. You know, a good heart healthy meal! . It was all very good. The batter on the chicken was excellent and crispy. They could use some improvement on their drink menu. A bit limited. Service was very good. Restaurant itself is very loud so be prepared to say "pardon?" a lot. They have glass garage doors which I'm sure is great to open up in nice weather. I was so excited to see banana cream pie on the dessert menu so we ordered a piece to bring home for later. The slice was large enough to cut in half to share. Unfortunately it was 80% whipped cream with a 20% hint of banana. It was a disappointing end to an otherwise really good dinner.
